In the 1980s, pop band Bros star Matt Goss and his twin brother Luke rose to fame, but it has been revealed that the two don’t see things well.
Matt Goss has opened up on how he is having a Christmas reunion with his dad after spending three years apart. The singer has said that his dad has been in hospital for the last nine months and the pair didn’t see each other for quite some time before that too.
However, they will be having a big reunion over the festive season as they’re set to have a pub lunch on Christmas day. Speaking exclusively to The Mirror, Matt said that he and his dad are “excited” to be spending the special day together.
He continued, “My father is coming in, haven’t seen him for three years, he’s been in hospital for nine months, and it’s one of those Christmases where he’s like “I’m so excited” and that we’re also looking forward to just having a simple pub lunch at Christmas. No washing up is required for us.

Although Matt and his father Alan haven’t always been romantically involved, they have since made strides in their relationship. Matt has stated in the past that Matt and his twin brother Luke were always concerned about their fame.
Hello! reported that Matt said: “Dad always worried about me when fame first struck. I was young then, but I need him just as much now and always will.
I knew I needed my dad right away when they said I could have someone with me on the studio floor. I trust his judgment and he gives me strength.
Matt and his brother Luke have a strained relationship despite now getting along with their father. Mattt discussed their ongoing conflict earlier this year.
The siblings found fame in the late eighties in the pop band Bros as they went on to sell 16 million records. Back in 2018 they were the subject of documentary After the Screaming Stops, which followed the brothers’ attempts to heal their relationship.
The band’s involvement in the tragedies that the brothers have experienced as a resulted in the program’s discussion. When the band was at the height of their fame, their sister Carolyn died in a collision at the age of 18. Additionally, their mother passed away in front of Matt when her stomach sprained.
According to reports, the brothers are still having trouble speaking to one another. Mattt stated in an interview with the Guardian last year that he didn’t want to “lied” about their relationship’s status.
He explained the causes of their disagreement, saying, “It’s a tough one. Out of respect for him, I don’t want to say too much. However, I won’t pretend that it’s kumbaya because it’s not.
Matt asserted his still-happy belief that the duo should continue to produce music together. We shouldn’t have gotten together, in my opinion to this day. He said, “We should have just rode out the storm.”
