Traitors star accused of being Charlotte Chilton’s baby father breaks silence

After being accused of being the father of her daughter Penelope, Jonny Holloway, who appeared on The Traitors with Charlotte Chilton, has spoken out.

The co-star of Charlotte Chilton’s The Traitors has finally refuted accusations that he is her daughter’s father. After the pair had a one-night stand after meeting at the wrap party for her television series in January 2024, Charlotte has long accused Conor Maynard of being the father of Penelope.

Conor remained silent throughout Charlotte’s pregnancy, making up her mind that he had no desire to have a daughter, Penelope, who was born last year. Conor took a paternity test shortly after Charlotte’s daughter was born, revealing that he was actually not the father.

However, when the results arrived, Charlotte immediately called for a second exam. After Conor’s DNA sample was taken, it was revealed that an unidentified man was present. Conor wasn’t the father, according to the second result, which was released along with the first DNA test approved by the Ministry of Justice.

Charlotte has continued to assert that the Cherry On Top singer is the father despite this. She thinks the results of the tests were caused by a rare medical condition known as chimerism. She said, “There is no one else that Penelope could have come from, and I can categorically say that is impossible.”

Earlier this week, Conor revealed he’d been sent a direct message from Lauren Ward, the ex-wife of Charlotte’s co-star, Jonny Holloway, who she alleged had confessed to sleeping with Charlotte around the same time as Conor. Jonny says he and Lauren split before he started filming the hit show. The singer shared a screenshot of a message, with permission from Ms Ward, reading: “My ex-husband is Jonny Holloway, one of the Traitors. he told me he slept with Charlotte around the same time as yourself / she fell pregnant.”

Conor explained he shared the message as he felt as though he had no choice while continuing to state he was not Penelope’s father. Taking to Instagram in view of his 34,500 followers, Jonny said: “Imagine waking up when you’re in the middle of moving house from a separation that happened before The Traitors started filming, that your ex-wife is insinuating you cheated on her.”

Conor said to fans on social media before Jonny’s comment that Charlotte’s statement in the clip that I’m currently reacting to, “I feel that the main reason people are still doubting me in this situation is because of that.”

You know, I never wanted to discuss or discuss someone’s private matters, but you guys must be aware that there comes a point where I must defend myself. Conor responded to accusations that he might have bribed the DNA companies by saying, “I can understand that many of you are going to be looking for your own explanations as to why two separate court-accréditated DNA tests showed that I am not the father.

“You’re going to be looking at uncommon medical biological cases of someone who has two sets of DNA,” you’re going to find. You’re going to be thinking, “Oh Conor, you must have paid off these multi-billion dollar DNA testing companies,” and “I don’t have that much money, believe me, that would be great but I don’t.”

I wouldn’t do that, and money aside! This entire timeline would be different if the DNA test revealed that I am the father. But that is not what actually happened. He continued, “But I hope that you can see that Penelope is just a high probability that someone else’s daughter is being given,” he added.

Conor’s social media post quickly caused Charlotte to respond. You ever heard a rumor about yourself and actually wanted to know more, she captioned a gif that she shared on Instagram. What did I do after that, exactly?

Last month, Conor spoke exclusively to the Mirror and revealed that he believed the situation could have been handled privately. One lyric in his song, Cherry On Top reads: “You talk too much, please shut up,” but he says this was said in jest. He told us: “Obviously, a lot of the lyrics of the song are said somewhat in jest, but I think they mainly point to how this entire situation could have been avoided.

“I was always of the opinion that the situation could and ought to have been handled quietly and privately, especially since no evidence existed prior to its reaching the court of public opinion.” Although it was not beneficial because it had been carried out in the open, it is now too late to do that; instead, what is done is done. So, in my opinion, the lyric kind of emphasizes that sometimes it’s better to handle situations before shouting them out loud.

Conor only learned about Charlotte’s allegations when his team received an abundance of emails asking for a response, according to The Mirror.

Charlotte’s representative has been contacted for comment by The Mirror.

LIV Golf to change to 72-hole format

From 2026, LIV Golf events will be able to hold 72 holes, keeping them within the established LIV golf schedule.

The 54-hole events that were held on the Saudi Arabia-backed circuit in 2022 and the unconventional format of the competitions caused players to be denied official ranking points.

With the exception of a Wednesday start for LIV Golf Riyadh’s LIV Golf Riyadh, the majority of LIV events have been held on Friday through Sunday. However, they will now start on Thursday of the tournament week.

Jon Rahm, a two-time major champion who won his second straight LIV title in August, declared, “This is a win for the league and the players.

The former world number one remarked, “LIV Golf is a player’s league.” We want every opportunity to compete at the highest level and advance our craft because we are fierce competitors.

Moving to 72 holes is the logical next step in strengthening the competition, putting us to the test more, and providing more of what fans want, if the growing galleries from last season are any indication.

Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) points are crucial for gaining entry to golf’s four majors.

Rahm is currently ranked 71st in the world, while Dustin Johnson, a former world number one, is 604th. LIV Golf players are also currently ranked 71st.

Johnson remarked, “Playing 72 holes just feels a little more like the big tournaments we’ve all grown up playing.” The four rounds grind has always always been my favorite.

Everyone wants to see the world’s best players competing against one another, especially in the majors, and we need a way forward, according to Bryson DeChambeau, who is also touring.

The individual competition will be decided over the course of 72 holes of stroke play for each regular season competition.

The team result will be determined by each team’s overall individual stroke play scores, which will continue to take place concurrently.

The expansion of LIV Golf to 72 holes is a crucial step in the development of our sport, says LIV Golf’s CEO, Scott O’Neil, and opens up more of the world’s elite golf, energy, innovation, and access that our global audience demands.

Why does the change raise LIV players’ high hopes?

Iain Carter, a golf correspondent for the BBC, analyzes the game.

This is LIV’s most significant change since Greg Norman’s appointment as the breakaway tour’s chief executive last year, when Scott O’Neil took over.

One of the main distinctions between LIV and the established professional tours is being voluntarily rejected.

Their players, many of whom have fought for this switch, are obviously pleased that they are adding an additional round. Jon Rahm stated to BBC Sport that he wanted to see the format grow from three to four rounds in his debut LIV season.

Rahm claimed at the time that a similar modification would bring the two games closer together. However, there is still a slim chance that it will cause the PGA Tour and the Saudi-funded circuit to join forces.

The official golf rankings may be able to support LIV’s quest for recognition, but the OWGR is still likely to have concerns about the league’s team structure, which could compromise individual performances.

When LIV’s initial request for recognition was rejected, this was a major issue. Additionally, LIV made this week an additional step that could help players gain recognition for their tour’s expanded pathway, which they hope will enable them to do so.

Fundraiser for footballer injured in train stabbing

A football player who was stabbed on a train in London on Saturday evening has started a fundraising campaign.

Jonathan Gjoshe, a player for Scunthorpe United, was slashed across the bicep, the club reported to the BBC, “sustained non-life-threatening injuries.”

No fixed abode resident Anthony Williams, 32, has been charged with the incident.

According to Mr. Ellis, it was “absolutely horrendous.”

He thanked supporters of the appeal, both Scunthorpe Utd supporters and the wider football industry.

Mr. Ellis claimed the initial goal was $2,000, but it was raised as a result of the “amazing” response.

In just 24 hours, the appeal raised more than £3,000.

If Scunthorpe Utd fans know they can help out with a few dollars for something like this, he said, “there’s always that kind of reassuring solidarity with them.”

“Hopefully, we will get a little bit more,” he continued, “which will hopefully help Jonathan on his recovery.”

The 22-year-old defender, who also plays for Bottesford Town in North Lincolnshire under the dual-registration non-league rules, signed for Scunthorpe in September after pre-season training there.

The money raised from the fundraiser will be used to make any necessary adjustments for his recovery from injuries, including medical expenses, transportation expenses, and lost earnings.

The National League side stated earlier that: “Everyone at the club, from the board, management, and his team-mates, along with all staff behind the scenes, sends our heartfelt well wishes to Jonathan for a full recovery. This is also extended to all the victims on board the train. “

Andy Butler, the Iron manager, called it “an awful thing to happen.”

He said, “It really hits close to home,” he said.

The club will support him throughout his recovery, the club promises.
