Queen City Championship third round leaderboard

-16 Hull (Eng); -15 Thitikul (Tha); -14 Yamashita, Iwai (both Jpn); -13 Korda, Noh (both US), Liu (Chn), Pagdanganan (Phi); -12 Cowan (Ger), Kim (Kor), Stark (Swe), Woad (Eng), Ruffels (Aus)

England’s Charley Hull will take a one-shot lead into the final round of the Queen City Championship as she seeks her third LPGA Tour title.

The 29-year-old carded a five-under round of 67, including six birdies and one bogey, to move top on 16 under overall, one stroke ahead of Thailand’s Atthaya Thitikul in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Japanese pair Chisato Iwai and Miyu Yamashita are joint third on 14 under, while American two-time major winner Nelly Korda and England’s Lottie Woad are also in contention on 13 and 12 under respectively.

Hull hit an impressive seven-under 65 in round two to move up the leaderboard and backed it up with another assured performance on Saturday.

A bogey on the par-three fifth was her only blemish, with four birdies on the back nine helping her take the lead.

Hull has finished runner-up in her last two tournaments, including at last week’s Houston Championship, which was her first appearance since sustaining ankle ligament damage after slipping in a car park in August.

Strictly’s Thomas Skinner recalls moment he told wife about ‘shameful’ affair

Strictly Come Dancing star Thomas Skinner has revealed the devastating moment he informed his wife Sinead that he had cheated on her – just weeks after they tied the knot

Thomas Skinner has recalled one of the darkest moments of his life, when he was forced to admit to cheating on his wife Sinead just weeks after they tied the knot.

The 34-year-old businessman, who first rose to fame on The Apprentice and will appear on the new series of Strictly Come Dancing, said the guilt consumed him after what he described as a two-week fling.

The reality star revealed he met Amy-Lucy O’Rourke, 35, in a pub more than three years ago. “She was a single mum,” he recalled. “We chatted on the phone and she offered me some kind of cosmetic slimming treatments.”

According to Thomas, the encounter soon escalated but he admitted that it was the biggest mistake of his life going behind his wife’s back and cheating on her. “I had a fling. It was nothing more than that. It was the one time, it was a mistake. I woke up feeling absolutely terrible about it. I felt so guilty. I told my wife.”

He admitted the short-lived affair was “the biggest mistake of my life,” and described the devastating moment he confessed to Sinead, whom he had married just weeks earlier.

Speaking to The Sun, Thomas said: “I let her down in that brief moment of madness where I wasn’t thinking, where I didn’t appreciate what I had. I’m sorry. I’m so, so sorry.”

Thomas and Sinead first met in a London bar in 2018 and got engaged two years later. By the time of the fling in 2022, they were already parents to a son, now four. Their family has since grown with the arrival of identical twin daughters, now two.

Despite the betrayal, Thomas said his wife stood by him and insisted that they are now better than ever. “My wife is the best thing that’s ever happened. I’m so lucky she forgave me. It was the worst thing I’ve ever had to do. It was terrible. I’m a very, very open book, and I don’t hide anything from my wife. She was obviously distraught, upset. Didn’t think I’d do that to her. When I told my wife, I fully understood if she was to never speak to me again.”

The east London entrepreneur admitted that the affair was entirely his fault, acknowledging that such a brief lapse in judgment almost cost him everything.

He reflected on the aftermath with deep regret, describing that period as one of the darkest points in their relationship. Although he and Sinead have since rebuilt and become stronger as a couple, he said the pain he caused her is something he will always carry.

He credited her kindness and resilience for keeping their family together, saying he owes much of who he is today to her support. Calling her the foundation of his life, he admitted he had been selfish and is profoundly grateful for her forgiveness, knowing she never deserved the hurt he caused.

“I’m an idiot for doing that. My wife is my rock. She’s the person I adore more than anything in the world. And I let her down. I’m ashamed. I’m so fortunate my wife’s forgiven me. She didn’t deserve it. I was a selfish person,” he insisted.

Despite the ordeal, Thomas says he and Sinead are determined to move forward, with family life at the heart of everything.

He has since described Sinead as his “Super Sensible” partner and insists she has been his anchor through both his personal mistakes and his professional highs.

Edo PDP Elects New Leaders, Eyes 2027 Comeback

Members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Edo State on Saturday defied a heavy downpour to participate in the party’s ward congresses, electing new executives and delegates across all 192 wards.

At Oredo Wards I, II, and III in Benin City, where journalists monitored proceedings, the exercise was marked by enthusiasm, orderliness, and a large turnout of party faithful who braved the rains to cast their votes.

State Caretaker Committee Chairman of the PDP, Dr. Tony Aziegbemi, led the monitoring team alongside members of the Ward Congress Electoral Committee from the party’s national headquarters in Abuja.

He described the event as a clear signal of the PDP’s resilience and renewed strength in Edo.

“The ward congresses were very peaceful. Members of the PDP were vibrant, very active, and elected the 17-member executives in the wards we attended,” Aziegbemi said.

He admitted he was initially uncertain about the turnout but was “pleasantly surprised” by the dedication of party members, many of whom arrived at the polling grounds as early as 7:30 a.m. despite the downpour.

“I was jittery at first, not knowing what to expect, but I was moved by the enthusiasm. We think PDP is rising, and we believe we will give the APC a run for their money,” he declared.

The PDP chairman further expressed confidence that the “abysmal failure of the government at both the federal and state levels” would pave the way for the PDP to reclaim Edo State in the 2027 elections.

Also speaking, Chairman of the PDP Ward Congress Electoral Committee, Mr. Tariga Tulagha, commended members for their unity and peaceful conduct during the exercise.

“We went out to conduct elections for officers and delegates across all wards, and so far, it has been peaceful with full compliance with the law. Despite the rain, people turned out massively, and we are impressed,” Tulagha noted.

He dismissed speculations of an internal crisis within the PDP in Edo, stressing that the voting pattern reflected harmony.
