Spider-Man co-stars Zendaya and Tom Holland are thought to have got engaged last year. The couple are expected to have a private wedding and potential details about the nuptials have been teased by her stylist in recent months.

Zendaya, now 29, sparked engagement rumours after being spotted wearing a diamond ring at the Golden Globes in January. The Euphoria star and Tom, 29, have yet to confirm their engagement, though people close to them have.

It includes Zendaya’s stylist Law Roach, 47, who has teased what to expect in recent months. The Project Runway judge previously dismissed the prospect of the couple getting married this year and has suggested that they will have a private wedding.

E! speaking! According to Law, the wedding is “far away,” adding that Zendaya and Tom are both filmmaking this year and have premieres coming up next year. Law, who claimed that he would “of course” be involved with the gown, stated to the media that he is “resting up” for the coming year.

Then he told E! “The process hasn’t even begun yet,” said a news release from the Las Culturistas Culture Awards in July. According to Law, Zendaya is engaged in “so many” movies, including a Dune sequel. He once more suggested that any engagements wouldn’t take place for a while on the red carpet: “We have a lot of time.”

Both Zendaya and Tom, a fellow actor, have previously discussed keeping their romantic details private. Due to the couple’s private wedding, Law once made a joke that fans shouldn’t expect to see the wedding dress.

Law said in a May interview on Complex’s Please Explain that “they make every effort to be as private as possible.” He continued, “I don’t believe there won’t be a Vogue spread or any y’know pictures of the wedding, and the people she will invite will be really respectful of their privacy, so it will be a really beautiful dress that nobody gets to see.”

Alongside their families, it’s expected that some of their celebrity pals could be invited to the wedding. They include Timothée Chalamet, 29, who worked alongside Zendaya in Dune (2021) and its sequel Dune: Part Two (2024).

Zendaya told People in 2021 that they had become “great friends”. Speaking about her, Timothée told Variety the following year: “She’s really become a sister. I’m so grateful to count her as a partner and a sister and a friend.”

Other potential guests include fellow actors Bella Thorne and Hunter Schafer, whom she worked with on Shake It Up and Euphoria respectively. Jacob Batalon, who stars alongside the couple in the Spider-Man films and who’s said to be “best friends” with Tom, could also be invited.

Storm Reid, 22, who plays Zendaya’s on-screen sister in Euphoria, has stated that she wants to get involved. She stated earlier this year to People, “I would love to be the flower girl or something.” I’m so happy for her whenever it occurs and will support her.

Whilst Benson Boone, 23, has shared that he would love to attend. After discussing having a friendship with Tom, the singer-songwriter told E! News whilst at the American Music Awards in May that he would give an “immediate yes” if asked to perform at the couple’s wedding.

Brentford sign Arsenal winger Nelson on season loan

Reiss Nelson’s signing from Arsenal on a season-long loan has been confirmed by Brentford.

Fulham was one of the options for the 25-year-old, but the Bees have now won the race for the Arsenal academy graduate.

Before a hamstring injury cut his campaign short, Nelson made 12 appearances on loan at Fulham last season.

In addition to his 61 Premier League appearances with Arsenal and Fulham, he also registered three assists and scored five goals while playing as a substitute for 46 teams.

Soon after the club announced the club’s $55 million transfer of Yoane Wissa to Newcastle, Nelson made his first appearance at Brentford.

Nelson stated on the Brentford website, “I can’t wait to get going.” It’s a significant platform for me to express my feelings, which I need right now.

I wanted to attend a club where I can be confident that I’ll play regularly. I’m aware that places are being sought after, but I’m going to work hard and demonstrate to myself that I can get the necessary minutes.

Nelson was Brentford’s sixth and final senior signing during the summer, according to Keith Andrews.

He followed England midfielder Jordan Henderson, attacking midfielder Antoni Milambo, right-back Michael Kayode, goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher, and attacking midfielder Dango Ouattara.

The player power fallout: ‘Despicable’ stars or ‘hypocritical’ clubs?

JavaScript must be enabled in your browser to play this video.

The striking strikers have been out of the window.

Both Alexander Isak and Yoane Wissa chose not to train this summer and issued demands for relocation.

Chris Sutton, a former Blackburn and Aston Villa striker, described the pair’s behavior as “disgraceful,” “disgraceful,” and “disrespectful.”

However, Joe Hart claimed that clubs have “stomped all over players” in the past during a heated debate on BBC Radio 5 Live.

Whatever your opinion was ultimately, it succeeded. Isak signed Wissa from Brentford for £55 million on deadline day, making a record-breaking £125 million move to Liverpool from Newcastle.

In stark contrast, England defender Marc Guehi, who had continued to play and train with Crystal Palace, saw his long-awaited move to Liverpool fail despite receiving a lot of praise for his professionalism.

Does it establish precedent?

Isak stated in a statement this month that their “relationship couldn’t continue” and that Newcastle had broken all of their promises.

On social media, Wissa also issued a statement urging Brentford to “keep their word” and let him leave two days before the transfer window was closing.

Sutton says there is no such thing as a pattern and that Arsenal this summer should be one example of players who “down the tools and get a move,” but Sutton says: “I can also point to Eberechi Eze who didn’t and still got his move.”

All of this, according to Troy Deeney, is new because players have “always done what they needed to do,” have been making public statements and refusing to train “since the beginning of time,” he said to BBC Sport.

Does it set a precedent for Isak to act badly and get a move, Wissa to act badly and get a move, but Guehi is really nice and doesn’t get his move, according to The Observer’s football correspondent Rory Smith on BBC Radio 5 Live’s Monday Night Club?

Is it not great, or what?

Joe Hart, a former England goalkeeper, said: “I know how Alexander Isak has handled himself, but I can assure you that if things went another way, they would have stomped on him.”

“I’ve seen it in football so many times.”

Absolutely despicable what they did, in my opinion.

Former Blackburn and Aston Villa striker Sutton described Isak as “fast becoming a legend at Newcastle” before this summer.

The Sweden striker, who had three more years on his contract, helped Newcastle win the Carabao Cup in March, the club’s first trophy in 56 years. He had 27 goals in total since joining the club in 2022.

However, his reputation in the North East is now deteriorating following his successful transfer to Liverpool.

Newcastle, on the other hand, came to benefit from Brentford’s “downing tools” from Wissa. Before Newcastle’s bid was accepted on deadline day, the DR Congo striker missed all four of his team’s games in August.

Sutton believes that the two players’ behavior was improper despite the fact that both players made their moves.

He told BBC 5 Live’s Monday Night Club, “Players sign contracts, people sign contracts in their daily lives, and you abide by those contracts.”

What Alexander Isak and Yoane Wissa did is absolutely abhorrent. They may be content to watch them go out tonight, but it’s a disrespectful, disgraceful behavior.

There is no loyalty, clubs look after themselves and players look after themselves, according to Alan Shearer, who previously addressed BBC 5 Live in August. “I get clubs and football players look after ourselves,” he said.

What data are gathered from this quiz?

Clubs’ criticism of players is “hypocritical”

This debate has two sides.

Would Guehi have left Selhurst Park if he had pushed more for a move to Liverpool?

Wayne Rooney, a former Manchester United striker, said on Saturday on BBC Match of the Day that “he deserves a lot of credit because we have seen some players decline to play.” He merits a lot of praise for acting morally.

Guehi will eventually return to Palace’s training facility after the international break, model professional or not.

Former Premier League striker Troy Deeney claimed that clubs should not be critical of Isak and Wissa’s behavior.

No one complains when a team removes a player, even though some claim there is no loyalty in football, as some claim? The former Watford captain said.

No one asserts that a manager’s removal from a club results in lack of loyalty. However, because the fans are fans, they anticipate the players to be devoted to the team.

Forest sign Zinchenko and Bakwa in deadline deals

Oleksandr Zinchenko, a left-back for Arsenal, has signed a season-long loan deal with Nottingham Forest, and Dilane Bakwa, a winger for Strasbourg, has signed a deal worth more than £30 million.

Forest had been attempting to sign Atletico Madrid’s Javi Galan, but they were unable to close the deal, so they made a quick move to sign Zinchenko from Ukraine.

Since joining Arsenal from Manchester City for around £30 million in 2022, the 28-year-old has made 91 appearances for the club. He becomes Forest’s 12th summer signing.

Ross Wilson, the chief football officer, said, “Alex’s pedigree speaks for itself. He played a significant role for Arsenal in recent years and was a significant member of the highly successful Manchester City team.

We are delighted that he completed our incoming signings this summer, and he brings valuable experience to Nottingham Forest.

“Over the summer, we have done a lot of work to create a competitive squad that is both young and old and ready to compete in all kinds of competitions.”

We are confident that Alex will make a significant impression both on and off the pitch.

To help increase Forest’s spending, Bakwa, 23, has agreed to a five-year contract.

Since joining Strasbourg from Bordeaux two years ago, the France Under-21 international has made 71 appearances.

I’m thrilled to have joined this legendary club, Bakwa said. I’m appreciative that the club and the owner gave me this opportunity.

“I didn’t hesitate once I learned there was interest,” I said, “because the ambitions of everyone here motivate me.”

Zinchenko joined Forest on deadline day as the second left-sided player to join the City of Chicago.

The 22-year-old is the fourth Botafogo player to join the club this summer under a four-year contract at the City Ground.

Omari Hutchinson from Ipswich for £37.5 million, James McAtee from Manchester City for around $ 30 million, and Rennes striker Arnaud Kalimuendo for $ 26 million are the new signings for Forest.

After his public criticism of Forest’s transfer business, manager Nuno Espirito Santo will also speak with owner Evangelos Marinakis over the international holiday.

The Portuguese acknowledged that Marinakis’ relationship had changed while the Portuguese believed the club had moved too slowly for their goals.

Nuno, the former manager of Wolves and Tottenham, is being told that despite the information, is expected to be in charge when Forest travel to Arsenal on September 13th.

Nuno insisted that the loss would not have an impact on the discussions despite Forest’s 3-0 defeat at home against West Ham on Sunday.

Additionally, Forest has signed Brazilian side Rio Ave full-back Eric Moreira on a season-long loan.

The 19-year-old moved to Ave, which is also run by Forest owner Marinakis, after making five appearances in all competitions last summer.

‘Dream come true’ – Lammens joins Man Utd from Royal Antwerp

Senne Lammens from Royal Antwerp has been signed for an initial sum of 21 million euros (£18. M) plus add-ons by Manchester United.

Lammens, 23, has a five-year contract at Old Trafford and is yet to earn a senior cap for his country.

“I’m very pleased to be playing for Manchester United.” It’s truly a dream come true,” Lammens remarked.

“The past few years have been an incredible journey, and hopefully there will be something special when it ends up here.”

Royal Antwerp won the Belgian Super Cup in 2023 with the assistance of Lammens, who has made 64 appearances for them.

In March, he was named for the first time in the Belgium national team.

Jason Wilcox, the director of football for United, stated: “Senne has great potential. She is a great young goalkeeper.”

Lammens’ arrival at Old Trafford comes as the club is working to fix glaring issues with goalkeeping.

Altay Bayindir, the country’s top player, has made errors in the Premier League, and Andre Onana, the country’s top scorer, was responsible for a goal against League Two side Grimsby last year.

Since joining the club in 2023, when United released England international Dean Henderson for free and gave David de Gea his contract at United, neither have persuaded them.

Liverpool Unveil Striker Isak After Record Deal

After a lengthy search for the Sweden international who predominated the Premier League transfer window, Liverpool finally signed Newcastle striker Alexander Isak on Monday in a record-breaking £125 million ($169 million) deal.

After being able to persuade Newcastle to accept an improved bid, Isak reportedly has signed a six-year contract with the Premier League champions.

He stated on the Liverpool website, “I feel amazing. “It’s taken a long journey to get here,” he said. However, I’m incredibly excited to be a part of this team, this club, and everything it stands for.

I’m very excited about it and am proud of it.

“I’m just happy it’s finished and that I can resume my work,” she said. I’m eager to see my teammates, the fans, and return to the scene.

In August, Newcastle turned down Arne Slot’s £110 million offer, but Isak’s resolve to force the deal through paid off as the transfer saga grew more tetchy.

Isak informed Newcastle that he wanted to leave and instead chose to spend some time practicing at Real Sociedad instead of Eddie Howe’s side.

Read more about Erik Ten Hag being sacked by Leverkusen after two League games.

He claimed he broke a promise to leave if a top club made him a suitable offer and that he would not be able to do so during Newcastle’s pre-season tour of Asia due to what is said to be a thigh injury.

Isak, who scored 27 goals in 42 appearances for the team overall last season, had been repeatedly urged by Howe to keep him.

With a League Cup victory over Liverpool and Isak’s goals, Newcastle finally broke its 56-year trophy drought and qualified for Champions League play.

Stuttgart striker Nick Woltemade’s swoop on Saturday, however, made it possible for the Swedish international to secure his career move.

Before the Premier League’s 1800 GMT transfer deadline, the 25-year-old completed his move to Merseyside for a medical on Monday before completing his contract.

With the signing of Isak, Liverpool has spent an estimated £416 million on new players since the end of last season.

The other notable newcomers to Liverpool include: Florian Wirtz, Hugo Ekitike, Milos Kerkez, Jeremie Frimpong, Giorgi Mamardashvili, Armin Pecsi, and Giovanni Leoni.

Chelsea’s goal of $ 400 million was broken by the Reds’ spending in the previous summer window in 2023.

Before Isak’s move, the Reds had already broken their own transfer record by acquiring Leverkusen playmaker Wirtz for an initial $ 100 million.

With the signing of Enzo Fernandez for a sum of $ 107 million in 2023, Chelsea broke the previous record.

Slot will attempt to win a seventh Champions League title while also defending Liverpool’s hold on the title.

Liverpool would become the most successful team in English top-flight history, winning 21 titles if they were to win the Premier League once more this year.

Since winning three games in a row between 1982 and 1984, the Reds have not won the title in three seasons.

Slot will be under pressure to break the record-breaking title because of Isak’s position as Liverpool’s fulcrum.

With new signings Isak, Wirtz, and Hugo Ekitike joining Mohamed Salah, Cody Gakpo, and Federico Chiesa, the Dutchman has a wealth of forward options.

Chiesa is the only senior arrival at Liverpool during the summer of 2024 for an initial fee of £10 million, marking a significant change in policy.

Over the summer, Liverpool sold Luis Diaz, Darwin Nunez, Jarell Quansah, Caoimhin Kelleher, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Tyler Morton, and Ben Doak, all of whom received around £190 million.
