The Crystal Palace defender will be signed by Liverpool in a deal worth up to £300,000.

Before signing a long-term contract with the Premier League champions, the 25-year-old will complete the paperwork for his move, including a medical, on Monday in London.

Following a two-way price breakdown between the clubs regarding the fee for Guehi, Liverpool initially submitted an offer of £35 million plus a 10% sell-on clause.

After agreeing to a £125 million deal with Newcastle for striker Alexander Isak, he will be Liverpool’s second major acquisition on transfer deadline day.

In his final 162 games for the London club, Guehi scored a stunning second goal to help Palace defeat Aston Villa 3-0 on Sunday night.

He avoided discussing his future in his post-game remarks.

After Jarrell Quansah left Anfield for Bayer Leverkusen, Guehi has become a key target for Liverpool this summer.

After conceding six goals in their first three games of the season, there have also been concerns about Liverpool’s defense’s resilience.

After falling to Palace on penalties at Wembley, they lost the Community Shield, giving up two-goal Premier League lead to Bournemouth and Newcastle, before rallying to win.

The Guehi deal will increase Liverpool’s spending by about $451.2 million without add-on fees, the highest total in Premier League history, after including Isak, Hugo Ekitike, Milos Kerkez, Jeremie Frimpong, Giorgi Mamardashvili, Armin Pecsi, and Giovanni Leoni.

Following Chelsea’s $401.2 million investment in 2023, this is the second time an English team has spent more than $400 million in a summer window.

Guehi fought for Palace until the very end.

Guehi excelled for Palace in the Community Shield before being forced into cramp in the final seconds. Despite speculation about his future, he has since played a significant role in the club’s season opener.

As the Eagles returned to Europe, he has played 90 minutes in all six of Palace’s games, including the Conference League.

After defeating Manchester City in the FA Cup final, the first major trophy the club has ever won, Guehi lifted the trophy.

Guehi is now moving on, having already announced to the club that he would not renew his contract and is in the final year of his contract.

Guehi spent four years at Selhurst Park before moving from Chelsea to Palace in the summer of 2021.

He also played a key role in the Three Lions’ bid to reach the Euro 2024 final.

Before approving Guehi’s departure, Palace desired two replacements.

They are working on signing another center-back and are expected to complete the signing of Toulouse’s Jaydee Canvot.

Jude Law as Vladimir Putin and 7 more actors who transformed into politicians

In the new film The Wizard of Kremlin, which just debuted at the Venice Film Festival, Jude Law appears completely unrecognizable as Vladimir Putin, the president of Russia.

In Olivier Assaya’s newest drama The Wizard of the Kremlin, Jude Law transformed into Vladimir Putin, the Russian president, in an entirely new way. The film, which just debuted at the Venice Film Festival, is based on Giuliano da Empoli’s bestseller 2022, which was published in the same year.

The actor, 52, switched to Putin’s short blonde hair after putting on cropped brown hair. For the new film, he dressed as the Russian president’s serious persona and transformed into prosthetics. Jude isn’t the first actor to elude criticism for portraying real-life politicians.

Sebastian Stan’s portrayal of a young Donald Trump in The Apprentice won an Oscar nomination for Best Actor just last year. Adrien Brody was the star of The Brutalist, but he lost. Josh Brolin, who also stars in W.W. with Sebastian and is a member of Marvel, once transformed into George W. Bush.

Meryl Streep portrays Margaret Thatcher in the challenging roles of impressively mimicking politicians, Christian Bale portrays former US Vice President Dick Cheney, and Daniel Day Lewis portrays Abraham Lincoln.

There is no longer a reason to make a decision if you’ve ever been unable to choose between gold and silver because mixed metal jewelry is set to be one of the hottest fashions for the fall.

Since this season features wearing a combination of silver, gold, and rose gold, it has long been a tradition to compare undertones to various metals.

Two-tone accessories are proving to be the best way to elevate everyday outfits, from stacking rings made of gold to layered necklaces. Watches are the ideal way to immerse yourself in the current.

This two-tone watch from Citizen might be just the thing to buy if you’ve been looking to invest in a new watch that feels both timeless and fashionable. It combines gold and silver for a cool timepiece that looks great with any outfit, which is admired for its “classy” design. The Citizen Eco-Drive Women’s MOP Dial Two Tone Stainless Steel Bracelet Watch is currently discounted at H. Samuel for £130.

Originally priced at £279, this stylish watch is now £149. Crafted with a two-tone rose gold stainless steel bracelet and a feminine mother-of-pearl dial, it brings a touch of glam to any look. Not to mention its water-resistant up to 50 metres, making it practical as well as stylish. It’s also powered by Citizen’s Eco-Drive technology, meaning it charges using light and never requires a battery replacement.

This chic watch has received rave reviews from critics. Beautiful, elegant, and practical watch, according to one customer. A must-have for both formal wear and formal occasions. I brought this brand with me, and yes, each watch has lasted a lifetime. However, I’ve been asked where I bought this watch numerous times and have received numerous compliments for it. Get this watch for yourself or even as a gift if you’re thinking about getting one.

“Really pleased with this very pretty watch,” added a second. The MoP face with the tiny crystal hour markers is lovely, and the strap’s brushed gold accents add interest.

One customer had the only negative impression that the face was “a little bigger than I was expecting.” If you have small wrists or don’t like the appearance of a bigger watch face, you should take note of this.

Man City in Donnarumma talks as Ederson & Akanji set to leave

Gianluigi Donnarumma, a goalkeeper for Manchester City from Paris St-Germain, is in advanced talks with Manchester City for just over £30 million, with Ederson joining Fenerbahce from Turkey.

With the signing of Lucas Chevalier from Lille, Donnarumma has surpassed expectations at Ligue 1 and Champions League champions PSG.

The Italian’s contract expiring at the end of this season makes it look like he will sign for City for a sum of £30.3 million (35 million euros) before the deadline of Monday, April 19 at 00 BST.

James Trafford was signed by City from Burnley for £27 million in the summer, and the Englishman has already launched his top-scoring campaign. However, sources have confirmed that Donnarumma’s deal is reportedly close to being completed.

The 26-year-old has won 74 caps for Italy and was the hero in their penalty shootout victory over England in the Euro 2020 final, which is regarded as one of the best goalkeepers in the world.

Inter Milan, a Serie A side, has agreed to loan Manuel Akanji for one million euros (870, 000).

The agreement gives the parties a 15 million euro (£13 million) option to make the move permanent, which becomes a requirement if Inter win Serie A.

From 2017 until the start of this season, Brazil’s Ederson had been City’s first choice, but the clubs had agreed to make a £12.1 million (14 million euros) move to Fenerbahce.

After moving from Benfica for £35 million, the 32-year-old has not played this season, winning six Premier League titles, the Champions League, and the FA Cup.

Four senior goalkeepers are on City’s books, and Stefan Ortega’s family has informed BBC Sport that the German goalkeeper wants to leave before the window is up. Marcos Bettinelli signed for Chelsea for free in the summer.

Does Donnarumma’s relationship with Manchester City make sense?

How does Donnarumma compare to the current group of goalkeepers at Manchester City, and how does he fit into Pep Guardiola’s system? The move seems to be getting closer.

According to PSG head coach Luis Enrique, the 26-year-old’s availability is a function of his ability to play ball at his feet, with him “looking for a goalkeeping profile that is different”.

Guardiola also demands that his goalkeepers play brave on the field and even launch attacks. The reticent Ederson has made an excellent passer and collected eight assists totaling the Premier League’s total while playing for the club, four of which came last year.

Donnarumma hasn’t yet provided an assist, but last year, he passed with 85.4% of his passes in the French top flight, which is higher than Stefan Ortega’s and below the Brazilian Premier League average.

Surprisingly, his save percentage is 66.2%. According to Opta, he kept just four clean sheets in his first 24 league starts, and his total goals prevented total was -3.6. He also conceded almost four goals more than he should have.

In previous seasons, Donnarumma has recorded far better numbers, as well as in PSG’s successful 2024-25 Champions League campaign, where he prevented more than 70% of shots from being faced. He has nearly one in four spot kicks saved, which is impressive in comparison to other penalties.
