Meghan Markle baffles fans as they issue same complaint about cryptic Instagram post

The Duchess of Sussex shared a seemingly innocent post to her As Ever social media account – but it left some fans complaining they “can’t even read” the puzzling message

Fans have been left perplexed over Meghan Markle’s latest Instagram post, with some claiming they “can’t even read” the cryptic message.

The Duchess of Sussex took to her As Ever page – used to share products from her lifestyle brand – to post an inspiring message. The text featured curling calligraphy written in white and superimposed over a formal garden photo, showing nearly trimmed lavender hedges and a lawn.

The image also has specks of sun flare, with many fans complaining that the culmination of too many elements made the message hard to read. “Let me tell you ’bout the birds and the bees and the flowers and the trees and the moon above,” the message read.

In the caption, she finished off the lyrics from the 1965 song by Jewel Akens, writing: “…and a little thing called love”. Many took to social media to admit they were having trouble deciphering the challenging font, while others wondered what the point behind the ‘update’ was.

One person wrote on X: “I can’t even read her fauxligraphy”, while another blasted the Duchess’s ‘penmanship’ calling it “atrocious As Ever” in a tongue in cheek jibe.

Another person wrote: “How awful! It took me a few good reads and scrolling through the comments before I could work out what she was saying!” while someone else added: “Hieroglyphics would be easier to read.”

One social media user complained that the ‘tails’ on the letters made the lines confusing while another claimed they had even needed help to understand it, posting: “I had to ask someone to decipher it for me – I wish I hadn’t bothered”.

Calling out the purpose of the post, one person asked: “What is she selling and what is she promoting in this post?”, while another said: “Does this have any point? This is her business account and any normal person would use it to promote their business and not put up random unrelated junk.”

Meghan’s confusing post comes after she was shortlisted for a prestigious award for her podcast, just months after announcing the project would be taking an indefinite break.

The Duchess of Sussex launched her podcast ‘Confessions of a Female Founder’ – her second audio project after the Archetypes podcast – earlier this year, in which she hoped to shine a light on female business owners and their experiences in the sector.

Now the show, which is streamed by Lemonada Media, has been shortlisted at the 4th Annual Signal Awards in the Business & Culture category. The production company announced the news on its Instagram page, encouraging people to have their say on the fan-voted award.

In June this year, Meghan appeared on Emma Grede’s Aspire podcast, and revealed that the show would not be returning anytime soon as she instead focuses on growing her lifestyle brand As Ever.

Rivers LG Workers Call-Off Strike After Fubara’s Intervention

Following a meeting with Governor Siminalayi Fubara at the Government House in Port Harcourt, local government workers in Rivers State have suspended their strike.

The meeting featured Chidi Lloyd, Chairman of Emohua LGA, and members of the Local Government Service Commission, as well as the leadership of the Nigerian Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE).

INCLUDE   Rivers State Pensions Board is disbanded by Fubara.

Although the outcome of the meeting is not disclosed in specifics, it suggests that the parties have come to an agreement that led to the suspension of the strike, which had earlier turned into a protest along the East–West Road axis.

Clifford Paul, president of Rivers State NULGE, made the announcement that the strike was suspended and assured that members’ grievances would be resolved following the closed-door meeting.

We’ve come to a decision. Paul stated that His Excellency has instructed that this issue be handled harmoniously. I’m urging all branch chairmen and officers to end the strike on behalf of the NULGE State Administrative Council. ”

Additionally, Israel Amadi, the governor’s representative, thanked the Governor for his intervention and described the discussions as being fruitful.

He claimed that his analysis was very fruitful. We are confident that the resolutions will be put into action because the Governor has provided clear instructions. ”

Simeone given one-match ban for Liverpool fans clash

Following his altercation with Liverpool supporters at Anfield earlier this month, Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone received a one-game ban for “unsporting conduct” from Uefa.

In Atletico’s 3-2 defeat, Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk scored a 92nd-minute winner after Simeone appeared to be irked by a small group of away fans.

The Argentine complained to the fourth official about the number of stewards blocking him from the Liverpool supporters.

Before being sent off and walking down the tunnel, Simeone had to be dragged away from the scene and continued to protest.

He will miss his team’s home game against Eintracht Frankfurt on Tuesday (20:00 BST), which will be his side’s only competitive Uefa fixture of the season.

The 55-year-old said: “First of all, I regret the part I played,” during the press conference following the Liverpool game. It is obvious that we do not have the authority to react, and that doing so is bad.

Simone objected to the home supporters’ “insults throughout the entire game” despite the fact that he “could not recall exactly” what had happened.

We [managers] are in a position where we are protagonists/standard bearers, so we could fight racism and insults in stadiums today as well as the insults we receive throughout the entire game.

Being in this position and getting insults the entire game is not easy. After the third goal, I watched it from a far away place. The insults continued after the third goal went in, and I turned, but I still have a personality.

San Siro could be demolished as sale approved

The city council approved the sale of the San Siro, which could have resulted in the iconic stadium being destroyed, according to Milan AC and Inter Milan.

After a protracted debate that lasted almost an hour, with debates raged for almost an hour, the two Milan clubs’ homes were approved.

The city government still needs to confirm the 99-year-old ground and its surrounding areas before it can be sold to both clubs for 197 million euros (£172 million).

The clubs referred to it as a “historical and decisive step for the clubs’ and the city’s future.”

Since 1926, Milan AC has played at the San Siro, but it hasn’t modernized since the 1990 World Cup.

They are joint tenants with city rivals Inter, but their repeated efforts to modernize it have failed.

As part of a significant urban regeneration project, the clubs intend to construct a new 71, 500-capacity stadium, with the goal of completion by Euro 2032, which Italy and Turkey are both hosting jointly.

The clubs hired architects to create a new ground last week.

ECOWAS Donates ₦82m To Displaced Children, Farmers In Plateau

In Plateau State, the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) announced a donation of 82 million to help displaced children and farmers who have been displaced by the conflict.

The funds go toward providing education for children, and they also go toward funding farmers whose farmland was destroyed during violent conflicts. In conjunction with activities to mark Peace Month 2025, the intervention was unveiled at the Humanitarian, Development, and Peace (HDP) Nexus Workshop in Jos.

The ECOWAS Commission’s Director of Humanitarian and Social Affairs, Sintiki Tarfa, stated at the event that Plateau’s support was a result of regional efforts to advance humanitarian and peacebuilding efforts.

Read more about the Plateau Assembly Speaker’s request to approve state police.

“Today, ECOWAS intervenes as brothers and sisters dedicated to healing and rebuilding rather than as a distant observer.” According to her, “the 26 million dollars will help farmers rebuild their livelihoods, and the 56 million will restore education and dignity to displaced children.”

The intervention was praised as appropriate by Bashir Aminu, the minister of humanitarian affairs and poverty elimination, Professor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, who represented the government.

“This donation from ECOWAS serves as a pledge of peace and stability,” the statement read. The minister said that it supports government efforts to restore livelihoods in conflict-stricken areas and protect the dignity of our citizens.

Ladan Amos, the director-general of the Plateau State Peace Building Agency (PSPBA), praised the donation, noting that the state’s children and farmers have experienced severe hardship as a result of the displacement.

According to him, “[ECOWAS’ support] confirms that peacebuilding, humanitarian response, and development must go hand in hand if we are to secure Plateau’s future.”

Matthew Malau, a representative from one of the state’s IDP camps, claimed the donation will give their children the chance to return to school and realize their dreams. He praised ECOWAS and its partners, but he also urged the Plateau State government to ensure the funds’ use in a fair manner.

Families are struggling to survive because our children have been absent from school. Parents can see the light at the end of the tunnel with this support, and children can dream once more, according to a camp coordinator.
