Romano Floriani Mussolini, the great-grandson of Italian dictator Benito Mussolini, made his Serie A debut on Friday, helping Cremonese defeat Sassuolo 3-2.
The 22-year-old Floriani Mussolini scored the penalty with eight minutes left, which gave the newly promoted side, who had won two games and were now top of the Serie A standings, the winner.
In Cremonese’ 2-1 win over AC Milan last week in their Serie A opener, the right-back, who is on loan from Lazio, was an unused substitute.
Due to having always wanted to make my Serie A debut, Floriani Mussolini said, “Too many things happened in too little time, I don’t think I’ll ever forget the night.”
“I’m happy that I succeeded in making a difference,” I said.
At Cremonese, Floriani Mussolini wears the number 22 shirt, which reads “Romano” on the back of his jersey.
He rose through Lazio’s ranks, but he never made it to the Biancocelesti’s top flight in Italy.
In the 2024-2025 season, he was loaned out to Pescara’s third-division team while Juve Stabia was on loan at Pescara.
Some reports claimed Juve Stabia supporters celebrated the goal with fascist salutes following his December 1st victory against Cesena, a claim the club vehemently refuted.
Floriani Mussolini stated that he was “here to play football” when he first joined Cremonese in the summer, adding that “my surname bothers people more than me.”
Hell’s Kitchen is reportedly set to return next year more than a decade since it ended in the UK. Gordon Ramsay is said to be gearing up to bring back the culinary competition following the success of the franchise elsewhere.
Fronted by Gordon, now 58, the show debuted on ITV in 2004. The first series featured celebrity contestants like Amanda Barrie. The head chef then left the show, which continued for another three seasons, including one that featured members of the public as contestants, until it came to an end in 2009.
Gordon left the show in 2005, and he launched Hell’s Kitchen on Fox in the US. Since then, he hasn’t left that international version, which just finished its twenty-third season.
However, last year there was rumors that Gordon was in talks to reprise the show in the UK. He’s reportedly planning to return to Hell’s Kitchen next year, with speculation that he’ll take over as head chef once more. In response to similar initiatives in the US, he’s also said to be thinking about opening restaurants in this area with the show’s name.
A source told the Sun: “Fans of the show will be doubly thrilled by the prospect of the competition coming back and being able to dine in a Hell’s Kitchen restaurant over here. Business-savvy Gordon has watched as the popularity of Hell’s Kitchen in the US has helped bring in thousands of customers to his restaurants.”
The source said that it’s a “smart move”. They said: “The programme is broadcast in more than 100 countries around the world, so between tourists visiting Britain and developing a whole new audience for the telly contest in the UK, it’s an incredibly smart move on his part.”
The Hell’s Kitchen name was registered in the UK on January 27th, allowing users to use it in restaurants, for entertainment, and for audio and video recordings. The trademark was added on April 18 and will expire on January 27, 2035. It recommends that they begin working right away when the ITV show is revived.
Due to the success of the series broadcast there, it would follow the previous launch of a chain in the US carrying the name Hell’s Kitchen. In 2018, Gordon opened the first restaurant in Las Vegas.
In front of Caesars Palace is the location of the franchise, which has been hailed as the first Gordon Ramsay Hell’s Kitchen restaurant in the world. It is said to have more than 300 seats.
According to its website, the restaurant, which features a red and blue kitchen that represents the teams’ division in Hell’s Kitchen, is inspired by the TV show. It promises that “guests will feel as though they are on a studio set.”
Since then, Gordon has opened a number of additional Hell’s Kitchen locations in the US. Atlantic City, Miami, and Washington, D.C. are additional locations.
Chef Gordon made fun of the restaurants’ “nostalgia” in a message posted on the chain’s website. This concept of Hell’s Kitchen is rooted in nostalgia, he said.
From the red and blue teams’ colors to the banquets and the chef tables, the restaurant on set is exactly the same as the one we built here. Everyone is desperate to eat those scallops, so there’s the food.

Namibia vs. Scotland: Cricket World Cup League 2
Despite some unusual methods from the local groundstaff, Scotland’s one-day international against Namibia was canceled.
Due to the rain, the match in King City, Ontario, was postponed, and one particular damp patch was purposefully set on fire despite numerous pitch inspections.
On Monday, Scotland travel to hosts Canada, before a second game against Namibia on September 4.
Namibia defeated Canada by five wickets to start this match-up of the Cricket World Cup League 2 on Wednesday.
US Open 2025
Dates: August 24 through September 7 in Flushing Meadows, New York
In the third round of the US Open, American Jessica Pegula battled it out to defeat Canadian Victoria Azarenka to maintain her hopes of winning her first career Grand Slam on her home turf.
After winning the first set 6-1 7-5, 2024 finalist Pegula fought back bravely despite suffering from a leg injury.
Italian seventh seed Jasmine Paolini was outclassed by world number 60 Marketa Vondrousova while she lost to her 7-6 (7-4) 6-1 defeat.
Paolini lost to him last year in the French Open and Wimbledon finals, but this year he hasn’t advanced past the fourth round.
In the fourth round, Pegula will face either Australia’s No. 126 Priscilla Hon or her compatriot Ann Li after suffering a heartbreaking defeat by Aryna Sabalenka in the previous year’s New York final.
When asked how she had pulled off her second-set slide, the 31-year-old said, “I just tried to focus on returning to my strategy, things that went well in the first set.”
I wanted to make the match physical because I believed I moved and scrambled really well.
In the opening set, Azarenka committed four double faults and won only 36% of her first serves, the fourth seed had three aces and ten winners.
The 36-year-old, two-time Grand Slam champion broke serve before saving a break point to establish her lead in the second set, which made her appear older than she was.
However, mistakes made three consecutive breaks into both players’ games.
Before Pegula made two glaring forehand misses after double-faulting to give control back to Belarusian, Azarenka saved three break points before making the fourth.
One more pendulum struck in Pegula’s favor as she broke in the final game to claim a spot in the last 16.
She obviously increased in the second set, and I just assumed she would start serving really well, and she always had plenty of aces to help herself from those return games, Pegula said of Azarenka.
