‘He definitely has it’, so why did Hamilton say he was useless?

After the most difficult weekend of his Ferrari career so far at the Hungarian Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton insisted he still “loves” Formula 1.

After qualifying 12th on the grid, Hamilton, the seven-time champion, had declared himself “just useless,” while Charles Leclerc, Ferrari’s first grand prix pole position of the season, took his place on Saturday.

Hamilton finished in the same position on Sunday, while Leclerc, who had fought for the first two-thirds of the race with the race-winning McLarens, lost to fourth place, his car apparently suffering from a problem in the final stint.

Hamilton claimed that after qualifying, he felt “the same.” He continued, “There’s a lot going on in the background that’s not great, so.” He added, “I’m sure there are lessons to be learned from the weekend.”

Hamilton frequently finds himself struggling, and the F1 rumor mill spins into a frenzy as well.

Some people questioned after qualifying whether Hamilton had overridden the hill. At the end of the year, or perhaps even before the season’s end, would he even leave Ferrari?

Hamilton, at least, refrained from saying he would return to the car at the end of August after F1’s summer break, saying he did.

He declared, “I’m looking forward to coming back.” “I’ll be back, yeah”.

Anyone who has heard about Hamilton’s resolve and unwavering resolve knows the answers to the other future questions.

Leclerc’s performance at least gives him some room to grow optimistic in the wake of some improvements to the Ferrari.

There have definitely been some improvements made to the upgrades, Hamilton said. It’s unfortunate that we’re not as competitive as the front-running competitors, but Charles has shown promise in his previous two races.

What is his/her boss’ opinion?

Hamilton’s situation was given some perspective by team principal Frederic Vasseur.

When your team-mate is in pole position and you are out of Q2, according to Vasseur, “it’s a tough situation.”

Vasseur criticized Ferrari for using a one-stop strategy on a track where overtaking is infamously challenging, and that it “didn’t work” in terms of the race result.

Lewis’ “I can understand your frustration,” he said, “but this is normal and he will come back.”

Vasseur, who played a key role in convincing Hamilton to leave Mercedes and join Ferrari this season, argued that the results in Hungary made his driver’s weekend appear worse than it actually was.

Yes, after the second session, Hamilton was 0.247 seconds slower than Leclerc. However, Leclerc himself had struggled to advance, and Hamilton was only 0.155secs behind his team-mate in the opening session.

After a difficult start to his Ferrari career, Hamilton’s positive momentum has stalled over the past two races.

There hasn’t been much choice between the two drivers since Miami in early May, and Hamilton outqualified Leclerc in three of the four races before Belgium, which came a week before Hungary.

Hamilton appeared uncompetitive when he was anything but due to two different kinds of errors in the qualifying sessions for the sprint and grand prix at Spa.

Hamilton was pace in Belgium, but he lost in the first session of sprint qualifying after an off-start and a spin brought on by a combination of factors involving a new braking material. The same happened when he erred when he evaded the 180-mph+ swerves at Eau Rouge and slightly exceeded the track’s restrictions while qualifying for the grand prix.

Hamilton’s average qualifying deficit to Leclerc is 0.146 seconds this year, even with the issues in Belgium and Hungary and the need to adapt to a new car with very different characteristics at the start of the season.

Hamilton might not expect that from himself, but it should be taken into account when Leclerc is regarded by Ferrari and many other F1 drivers as the fastest driver in the world after a single lap.

Hamilton’s critics criticize his struggles with George Russell during his final year at Mercedes.

The 40-year-old discovered that the ground-effect cars that were introduced into Formula One in 2022 do not fit both his late-braking style and those of the previous generation. And it continues to be a mystery whether or not he has been able to adapt as well as he should have, or perhaps even better than other drivers.

Vasseur, however, refuted any suggestion that Hamilton’s circumstances might concern him.

What is the opinion of his former boss?

Hamilton’s former team boss at Mercedes, Toto Wolff, was questioned about his depressing self-assessment.

Lewis allegedly wore his heart on the sleeve, he claimed. He expressed his thoughts on the subject when he was questioned after the session. It was very raw.

He has been that emotionally sensitive since he was a young boy or young adult, and we have it in the past when he felt that his team-mate is on top of his own expectations.

Wolff stated that Hamilton’s general performances were the result of “nobody’s going to take that away.” “He’s the GOAT, and he’ll always be the GOAT.” He must always remember that he is the greatest of all time, something that needs to be repeated.

Lewis’ Formula 1 work has been finished. We’ve never been happy with ground-effect cars, much like Mercedes has since underperformed with this most recent set of regulations since 2022. And it bit him in the same way.

It might be related to driving style. Therefore, he shouldn’t leave. Next year will bring brand-new, entirely new power-units that require an intelligent energy management strategy.

Wolff was pressed to confirm that Hamilton would still be able to capture the elusive eighth title.

He responded, “Yes, if he has a car underneath him that gives him confidence and does what he wants.”

“If he has a car that doesn’t give him the feedback he wants, and that’s the Mercedes from the past few years, and that seems to be the Ferrari, and even worse, then not,” he said.

Why Nigerian International Airports Don’t Have Wifi – Keyamo

Festus Keyamo, the minister of aviation and aerospace development, has explained why there isn’t wifi in the country’s international airports. &nbsp,

Keyamo, who spoke on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics, attributed the issue to an argument between the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) and the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) over who is responsible for providing wifi at the airports.

“There are many things involved, but when I first took office, I saw the situation first-hand. And the first issue I tried to resolve was a dispute between two of my agencies regarding Wi-Fi management.

According to the NAMA, Nigerian Airspace Management Agency, “Well, if you look at the law of NAMA, it says NAMA is in charge of all navigation equipment, radio, communication, and all.” It’s our responsibility to look after Wi-Fi, NAMA said.

Another of my agencies, the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, was claiming that it was a part of the airport’s infrastructure. Additionally, FAAN has the authority to manage all airport infrastructure, per law. They then responded that “Wi-Fi is an infrastructure component,” according to Keyamo.

He claimed that the back and forth continued until last year when he decided FAAN should step down and NAMA should take over providing Wi-Fi at the airports. &nbsp,

He explained that the 2024 Budget, which NAMA is now in charge of Wi-Fi, meant the project could not be completed at that time. &nbsp,

He added that the 2025 budget has now been included, giving assurances to Nigerians that Wi-Fi will be available at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport terminal 2 by the end of 2025. &nbsp,

Reality TV star Charlotte Crosby has said that an acclaimed actor followed her on social media for a while. She’s teased that the high-profile celebrity may have ended up finding it “embarrassing” before deciding to unfollow her eventually.

Charlotte, 35, best known for appearing on Geordie Shore, brought them up whilst playing a game on a podcast. It was during her appearance on the latest episode of the Live, Laugh, Luke podcast, hosted by content creator Luke Hamnett, 32, which was released earlier this week.

She told Luke that she had once been followed by Millie Bobby Brown, 21, on social media, though said that was no longer the case. It comes after Top Gear host admitted he ‘never got along’ with Jeremy Clarkson as he made a bold statement.

Never have I Ever had a big celebrity enter my DMs, Luke remarked during a game. Before Luke raised his hand, Charlotte said, “nah.” He said, “I would say that I was unintentionally followed and then unfollowed.”

Asked who it was, he named actor Tom Hardy, 47. Luke said: “He followed me and then 10 seconds later he unfollowed me. How very humbling!” Charlotte said: “That happened to me, y’know.” Luke questioned: “With Tom Hardy?”

She replied: “No.” After being asked who she was referring to, the Celebrity Big Brother winner said: “Bobby Brown.” Podcast host Luke then asked his guest if she meant actor Millie Bobby Brown, to which Charlotte told him: “Yeah.”

Charlotte said that Millie, who rose to fame as a child star on Stranger Things, followed her on social media at one point. She told Luke that the actor isn’t following her anymore though and speculated over a potential reason.

She made fun of Millie’s decision to stop following her because she found it “embarrassing” as an adult. However, Charlotte also speculated that Charlotte may have been one of the many people who the Enola Holmes star didn’t follow at the time.

She followed us for a while before she “comes of age and just thinks, “This is embarrassing, I’m going to unfollow.” You know when you start culling people, unless she was just going through a cull.

Luke clarified in the episode following her comments: “So she unfollowed you?” Charlotte, who has more than 8 million followers on Instagram alone, confirmed: “Yeah.” She then said: “That was quite a big one though, wasn’t it?”

Before Charlotte added, “I know,” Luke said, “That’s a big one.” Content creator Luke ended their discussion about social media by saying, “Yes, so Tom Hardy and Millie Bobby Brown. That is not undesirable.

You have to work at it, people, but married life is not a walk in the park. It’s FULL ON and can occasionally be a bit of a s*** show. We have always loved one another, but I’m sure there have been times when we haven’t liked one another and listened, as is expected.

Let’s just say that the spare room has been occupied for a few nights over the past ten years, which is acceptable.

Their wedding was rescheduled just one year after they used surrogacy to give birth to their second daughter. After Brian learned that he was infertile, his sister carried both of their children.

Kerr feels ‘strong enough’ to retain world title

Images courtesy of Getty

After claiming victory in the 5, 000m at the UK Athletics Championships, Josh Kerr says it “shows I’m strong enough” to defend his 1500m title at the September World Championships in Tokyo.

Compatriot Neil Gourlay won the 1500m championship for the third year in a row on the day Laura Muir was humiliated by Livingston’s Sarah Calvert in the women’s event despite being assured of GB selection and not running his preferred distance.

With two more laps to go, Kerr was nine seconds clear of Jack Kavanagh, another Englishman.

The 12-and-a-half laps out there are a little different and a little more than I’m expecting, but the mile push hopefully proves that I’m strong enough for five weeks.

The British middle distance running team is strong, Kerr remarked.

After winning the Birmingham competition that doubled as the British trials, he said, “This title has been British for about three or four years and hopefully it’s going to stay that way for the next couple of years.”

We are in a fantastic position in the UK because we have a fantastic set of 1500m men fighting it as well.

After defeating Englishman Elliot Giles in a sprint finish to win the British title for the fourth time in six years, Gourlay showed himself to be the best of the rest.

He told Scottish Athletics, “It’s a little surreal having that longevity with all the people who have been attending and going through this event.”

The goal was undoubtedly to win, and it feels satisfying to do that now. “It’s always the challenge to come here and take care of business in terms of qualifying for the world championships.

Given the people I’ve encountered over the years, it’s quite remarkable to win the last three.

Jemma Reekie secured her 800-meter team spot for Tokyo, but the Scot was content to take her place ahead of Georgia Hunter Bell, a talented Englishwoman.
