Joey Veerman, a midfielder for PSV Eindhoven, received two offers from Brentford.
The Dutch club informed Veerman that Veerman is not for sale in response to Brentford’s second offer, which is thought to be valued at around £25 million.
The Bees are now weighing whether to offer a new deal for the 26-year-old, who has 16 caps for the Netherlands.
Before the transfer deadline on Monday, Brentford are still trying to strengthen their squad, but they are having trouble locating their top targets.
Borussia Dortmund forward Max Beier’s £45 million bid was also rejected by the west London club.
Whether Yoane Wissa joins Newcastle could depend on whether Brentford can strengthen in attacking areas.
Wissa has indicated to the club that he wants to relocate to St. James’ Park this summer.

At the conclusion of a turbulent few days at Manchester United, Ruben Amorim finally had something to celebrate.
Because he wanted to “watch the fans celebrate,” he claimed his captain would score, he didn’t actually see Bruno Fernandes’ decisive stoppage-time penalty.
Given how emotional he has been, Amorim made one of his more rational statements in a week that seemed to be a scorched earth policy.
Problems with goalkeeping
Getty Images
Amorim explained the challenges facing his team in the opening weeks of the new campaign, giving away the opportunity.
He said, “We are in a situation where they can score with every possession in our possession.”
Although it’s obvious that this is not a good situation, one of the reasons for this is that his goalkeepers consistently commit big errors.
United lost to Arsenal on the opening weekend due to Altay Bayindir’s inability to make clean contact when he attempted to punch Declan Rice’s corner away from danger.
When Andre Onana couldn’t get a Grimsby corner away from his six-yard box in the middle of the match, the hosts were already in the game as United slithered to their first defeat by a fourth-tier team.
Without Fernandes’ dramatic intervention, Bayindir returned against Burnley and duly failed to gather Loum Tchaouna’s second-half shot, which made the score 2-2.
In this situation, Amorim described it as “frustrating.”
They are people, they say. Everything is in the news at Manchester United.
Everyone mentions the goalkeeper, “everyone says that. When circumstances arise, I can alter the goalkeeper. At that precise moment.

That is acceptable. It is also obvious that if the goalkeepers make mistakes, they will have a significant negative effect.
Senne Lammens, who was once again left out of his side’s Belgian Pro-League game this afternoon due to transfer rumors, is undoubtedly one of the reasons United has been talking to Royal Antwerp about.
Galatasaray have been linked with Lammens and United’s keepers, so we might have to wait a while before the Turkish deadline closes on September 12 to fully understand the situation there.
Has Kobbie Mainoo’s desire to move to a loan ceased as a result of injuries?

Amorim claimed he was unaware of the extent of the injuries that had forced Mason Mount and Matheus Cunha to miss the game at half-time.
As he ran upfield, Cunha’s hamstring appeared to be hurting, and he immediately gave the impression that he would not be able to continue.
Amorim said afterwards that Mount had been having a problem for 30 minutes and that he had been concerned about it.
As Fernandes was moved upfield, Joshua Zirkzee took the place of Cunha, and Kobbie Mainoo took the place of Mount.
Prior to the end of the loan window, Mainoo requested to leave United on loan. He has plenty of options. Following the rejection of United’s initial transfer request, the question was re-asked on Friday. Amorim’s press conference on Friday reinforced the second rejection.
However, Mainoo still believed it was more appealing to play elsewhere than to play as Fernandes’ replacement.
Sesko situation was described.

The fact that Benjamin Sesko scored his team’s 10th penalty was one of the main discussions at Grimsby was one of the main points. Before the Slovenian international stepped up, only Onana had ever taken one.
Sesko had a severe cramp, according to a report from BBC Sport on Thursday.
Amorim confirmed this following the Burnley victory by explaining why Sesko remained on the bench when Cunha and Mount needed replacements.
Sesko took Casemiro’s place in the final fifteen minutes.
Amorim claimed that “it’s all connected.” He really was in the top, and he actually had cramps after the game at Grimsby. We avoided the penalties because of this.
“I initially believed Ben didn’t play 90 minutes of pre-season, but he did it on Wednesday.”
Amorim consuming it gradually throughout the day.
Amorim is no longer interested in resolving questions about the “turning point” of his camp.
After this performance, he was relieved to say that he “loved” his players, even though he still feels the same way about it 24 hours after venting his dislike for certain players.
He is aware that convincing anyone that his methods are working will require more than a nerve-wracking home win over a newly promoted team.
That would be a start since he hasn’t won any previous Premier League games.
Manchester City will face United at Etihad Stadium on September 14th, which is the issue. After that, Chelsea travels to Brentford, where they have conceded four goals twice in their previous three games and have taken a total of one point.
He claimed, “I’m not considering a turning point.” I spoke to you guys ten times about this.

Since Travis Kelce’s engagement to Taylor Swift, which took place roughly two weeks before their joint Instagram announcement, his mother Donna has been quietly preserving memories from the momentous time.
After two years of dating each other, the couple engaged, and they made the announcement in a joint social media post on Tuesday.
Along with a dynamite stick emoji, they said, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.” Taylor, 35, who has 280 million Instagram followers, also shared a heartfelt message on her Instagram story using the song “So High School” from the album’s anthology, “The Tortured Poets Department.”
The song, which is said to have been about her 35-year-old fiance, played in her social media post.

According to sources, Travis’ proud mother Donna has been organizing things ahead of her son’s big day by sharing the good news with their family, friends, and fans. She has been saving sentimental items to make their wedding day as memorable as possible.
Donna already has small things saved, including photos, notes, and flowers, at this time. She views it with great sentiment. She has been keeping memorabilia from their first days as an engaged couple in mind because she wants to remember every detail,” according to an insider.

The Swift and Kelce families are said to be thrilled and eager to see Taylor, the pop star, finally marry her prince charming. Everyone is thrilled for them, according to the source, who added to People. “There were toasts and happy tears.”
While Donna has yet to publicly comment on her son’s engagement, she subtly celebrated by updating her Facebook background to a childhood photo collage of the couple, captioned: “THEY ARE GETTING MARRIED.”
Travis’s father, Ed Kelce, also shared details of the private proposal with News 5 Cleveland, revealing that it occurred about two weeks earlier than expected.

He stated, “Travis actually made the proposal, oh, maybe two weeks, not quite two weeks ago.” He planned to hold off until this week. She seemed to be getting a little antsy, I believe.
When you kneel down and ask her to marry you, Ed advised his son to keep it simple. “You could do it on the side of the road, do it any place that makes it special,” he said.
Then, he continued, describing the conversation the married couple had with their parents. He said, “Let’s go out and have a glass of wine, and they were about to go out to dinner.” They began making sure everyone was aware of me and their mother. Therefore, it’s wonderful to see them together.

Travis and Taylor’s romance first emerged in July of 2023 when Travis traveled to Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City to watch a Chiefs game while Taylor’s iconic Eras Tour was rumbling.
He later shared the details of his real motivations for attending the gig on his podcast New Heights, which he co-hosts with his brother Jason Kelce.
The American football player had intended to use a friendship bracelet to give Taylor his phone number, but it turns out she avoids speaking during and after performances to protect her vocal cords. He had a second chance, though, when Taylor learned of his daring move.
Simon Cowell, the creator of the TV show Talent, stunned his fans by revealing a rare photo of his 11-year-old son Eric. The viewers were shocked to learn how similar they are and how quickly their relationship is developing.

Simon Cowell has shared just how fast his son Eric is growing up as he gave fans a look into his summer holiday. The Britain’s Got Talent judge kept his 11-year-old son out of the spotlight as much as he could in his early years, but it seems he has changed his mind now Eric is older.
He has been opening up about family life with his son and partner Lauren Silverman, with Eric now almost as tall as his famous dad. Simon revealed new photos of his only child as they hit the road for the latest series of America’s Got Talent.
The father and son shared a sweet moment together in their tour bus as they appeared as close as ever. Simon was snapped with Eric and their dog while they both beamed at the camera.

The 11-year-old showcased his curly, dark locks while rocking a blue T-shirt from America’s Got Talent. As Simon sat in front of Eric while sporting a grey T-shirt, Simon pet his dog.
He merely put “Everyone’s happy” as the caption to the post appeared alongside other filming-related images. As one person said, “In my head, Eric is maybe 3 months old,” the audience was shocked at how mature he looked.
Another added: “Omg your mini me”. Someone else commented: “He looks like his Daddy.” X Factor star Sam Bailey commented: “Hey Simon!!!! Eric is the image of you. Wow he’s so grown up!!! Lovely to see xx.”
Earlier this year, Simon marked Father’s Day with an emotional interview about becoming a dad. Simon welcomed his only child Eric in February 2014 with partner Lauren.
Eric made an unexpected on-screen appearance on Britain’s Got Talent last year despite maintaining his relatively private family life. Simon also revealed that his son was a skilled drummer during the series.
His decision to speak publicly about Eric continued as he sat down with Jeff Brazier in June. Speaking to father of two Jeff, Simon adorably shared how much his son meant to him.

Everything, really, really. This is the best thing that has ever happened to me out of everything I’ve ever done. I literally became obsessed with his scan the first time I saw it, he said.
Simon’s concerns for his son’s modern-day development were also shared by him. The word “phone” is coming up in our culture. “Oh god, here we go,” Simon, who famously said he doesn’t have a personal cell phone, remarked.
“I’m very concerned, Jeff, about how much children can see when they grow up. Which was learning things at the right time, at the right age, etcetera, etcetera, etcetera, as I grew up. I would be extremely upset if he had access to anything, which would really bother me.
Jeff pressed the star, who said he would be “absolutely honest” with him about what he would do if his son wanted to take the showbiz direction.

I’ve given this a thought. I would be completely honest with him if he admitted to me that he couldn’t sing and that I wanted to be a singer. I would ask him to “You know what, be a drummer” if he couldn’t.
He is quite shy, but he does play the drums well. You see, as I walk, he stops as I hear him. Why are you stopping, I ask. and I respond, “Well, I’m a little embarrassed,” and I respond, “Well don’t be, you’re really good.”

The Oval is home to a BBC Sport journalist.

The Oval audience was slack in the air.
The lengthy, enthusiastic ovation demonstrated that they had witnessed something special.
A delicate late cut and a few moments prior to the gap’s completion completed Davina Perrin’s astonishing century.
She knew she was about to reach a remarkable feat, as it turned out, but Perrin maintained the calm and control she had displayed throughout the entire innings.
Given that she is only nine days shy of turning 19 this year, Perrin’s knock of 101 from 43 balls, which included 15 fours and five sixes, is all the more impressive.
Make no mistake: this was a magnificent innings, not just one for teenagers. Stop completely.
However, the fact that it was a teenager’s choice to lead her team to a Lord’s final in a knockout game makes it even more thrilling.
She was special at the age of 13, it was obvious.

In response to the sharp decline of black British players in the professional game, Perrin has entered the ACE program, which was founded by ex-english professional footballer Ebony Rainford-Brent in 2020.
Five years later, Perrin becomes the first black British woman to score a century in a T20 for statistical purposes.
When I first met her, she was 13 years old, Rainford-Brent told BBC Sport. We immediately went for a net once the lockdown was lifted.
When the bowling machine came out, I instructed her to strike through the cover, over the top of the cover, and finally down the ground.
She immediately hit it with strength and precision, and she was flawless. At age 13, I was immediately aware of her uniqueness after she completed a full 360 game.
At The Oval, she demonstrated her versatility by starting with a drive through the covers before effortlessly flicking the ball over the square leg for six a few balls later.
With West Indies legends Sir Viv Richards and Brian Lara serving as inspirations, it should come as no surprise that Perrin’s game has a flamboyance – “a good swagger,” says Rainford-Brent.
“I adore Sir Viv’s flair. I adore Brian Lara’s ability to run and score well, and he was eager to do so. All I’m really thinking about is that,” Perrin told Sky Sports.
Since I was six or seven years old, I’ve been watching my father’s YouTube videos ever since he first started showing them up.
Perrin hopes to be able to provide something similar to what is offered to the younger generation.
Because we are a minority, she told BBC Sport, “I’m extra proud of what I’ve done in these situations.”
“I’m hoping now that I’ve set a bit of a platform so more young black girls – and boys, of course – can see they can do it too,” says one woman who doesn’t play black in the professional game.
When will the English call?

The fastest women’s T20 century by an English woman is a 42-ball hundred, which is also the fastest by an English woman in a major league or full-member T20 international.
Former England fast bowler Steven Finn described it as “the cleanest of striking and the clarity of mind.”
England is likely to become interested in that combination right away.
The explosive hitting Perrin can provide, especially on the T20 side, is crying out for Charlotte Edwards’ side.
Although her century was breathtaking, she is still far from the finished article, so there is a need for some restraint.
In her subsequent six innings, scores of 13, 14, 10, four, three, and five followed an unbeaten 72 from The Hundred’s previous 40th.
When she is on song, Perrin is impervious to consistency, which is a sight to behold.
She told BBC Sport, “I’m looking to build on that with more experience.”
The Superchargers opener struggled to impose herself when the opposition bowlers hit their straps early during that run of low scores.
Good luck if you let her leave for a flyer. Working her way into an innings is still a process that needs to be improved for the time being.
You’d be hard-pressed to find anyone who doesn’t see England caps in her future, so why throw Perrin straight into international cricket might not be wise.
It’s ridiculous because she has such talent, according to Rainford-Brent.
“It’s intriguing to watch her transition to the England side because the future is so bright for her.”
Rainford-Brent suggests that you need look no further than your current Superchargers team-mate and potential Ashes rival to see what kind of impact Perrin might have.
“I have always been a big fan of Australia’s Phoebe Litchfield.” We’ve seen how dominant she has been of women’s cricket recently, and Davina will follow her, she said.
The Strictly Come Dancing star has had his fair share of struggles away from the spotlight, despite having been a fixture for more than 20 years.

Strictly Come Dancing’s ever-smiling Anton Du Beke has been a constant fixture on our screens for more than 20 years. Initially as a professional dancer, she has since been a judge on the well-known BBC program since 2012.
Behind that unrelenting smile are a history of personal trauma, including having an abusive parent and having to start a family with his wife.
Anton, who is the longest-serving professional dancer in the Strictly ranks, insists that his determination to succeed is not stemmed from his challenging past.
Anton firmly stated, “I never did anything I did because of his father,” in reference to his father’s severe alcoholism. Not because of that, I had the desire to do what I did. “Woe is me” is a word I detest.
He opened up about his upbringing in Sevenoaks, Kent in a candid conversation with The Times, revealing that his family lived in a council house. Because of my father’s drinking, a lot of money was wasted.

During an appearance on ITV’s Life Stories with Kate Garraway, Anton shared a chilling account of how his father’s drinking led to violent incidents: “I got stabbed in the leg and in the stomach because of a fight on Boxing Day and it was an idiotic situation. I remember walking out of the house to walk up to the hospital holding my leg and a police car drove past and I waved them down and I said ‘He’s in there with a knife’.”
The actor, who has since been given the nickname “The King of Ballroom,” spent several days in the hospital after the incident, recalling that his only concern was “getting back into the studio and dancing and the embarrassment of it.”
The Strictly star lost all communication with his father, who passed away in 2001, after their separation from his parents. Antonon made the decision to not attend the funeral, saying, “Everything was about moving forward.
“I felt bad for my mother because her husband works two jobs and he chose to drink and be violent,” she said. You carry on with life, you say.

After a six-year courtship, Anton and Hannah Summers, a businesswoman, wed in 2017. The pair’s heartbreaking discovery that Hannah had been battling endometriosis, which had impacted her ability to fall pregnant naturally, led to the pair’s unsuccessful attempts to conceive for many years.
I had never heard of endometriosis before meeting my wife, Anton admitted. It might prevent women from having children. It is still not talked about enough.
“My wife appeared to be a person who was naturally motherly, but a freak of nature had told her she wouldn’t be able to conceive. That always seemed to me to be incredibly unfair. She is now the most amazing mother.

However, the pair eventually welcomed twins George and Henrietta through IVF in 2017. That challenging period came to a happy end.
Anton acknowledged that he may not have been prepared for fatherhood earlier in his life by recalling that his wife once called him “an island of an individual.”
“I once lived my life for myself. I was inspired to pursue my goals, which were also improved. However, when I had kids, it changed from focusing on me to the children.
“You shouldn’t have children in the first place if you can’t accept the responsibility.” When I was younger, it would have been inappropriate for me to have children.
