Kevin’s transfer from Shakhtar Donetsk to Fulham is set for a club record of £34.6 million.

The 22-year-old Brazilian’s move is expected to surpass the club’s current transfer record, which was the initial £27 million they paid last summer to bring in Arsenal’s attacker Emile Smith Rowe.

In 57 games for the Ukrainian side, Kevin has scored 17 goals and assisted 10 of them on the left.

Marco Silva, who previously criticized Fulham’s slow transfer rate, would gain from his signing.

With the exception of Montpellier goalkeeper Benjamin Lecomte, Silva claimed that the Cottagers had been “passive” throughout the summer.

Fulham have expressed interest in Raheem Sterling and Philip Otele, both of whom are still regarded as being in the market for an additional attacker.

After Saturday’s fixtures, the Cottagers were 16th in the table and had only two points from their first three Premier League games.

Alan Titchmarsh recently revealed he has no intention of hanging up his gardening gloves, expressing his desire to continue working for as long as physically possible. However, while the 76-year-old remains sprightly, he has candidly opened up about his health worries and medical challenges he has encountered throughout the years.

As he continues to grace television screens with his ITV programme Love Your Garden with Alan Titchmarsh, we explore the horticulturist’s health confessions and how he has battled through various difficulties.

Concerns about premature death

The presenter has previously expressed concerns about passing away “at a relatively young age” following the death of his father, who was 62. He told Yours Magazine, “The truth is, the men in my family have had a tendency to die from heart disease relatively young.” For instance, my dad, who was just 62 years old, suddenly passed away in 1986 from a heart attack, according to Wales Online.

Alan admitted to taking statins every day in order to prolong his life in 2014, acting on medical advice for his own well-being. He admitted, “I wish I wasn’t,” and expressed regret. I’m following my doctor’s advice, but I don’t like the idea of taking tablets daily. He considers it to be a wise decision.

He recently expressed his gratitude for having survived a successful life by declaring, “I owe everything to good luck and a following wind”! He continued, stating that along with his loving family, having a career that he adores in the fresh air has also improved his well-being. I enjoy my food and drink, of course, with a healthy dose of humor, and laugh a lot. He continued, “It’s worked for me.”

operations on the knee

Due to his distinguished career in horticulture, Alan Titchmarsh, the beloved gardener, has suffered knee pain for years. The father-of-two had cartilage and tissue removed from his knees during surgery in 2018.

Chatting with The Mirror, he revealed: “I had it all cleared out, and they feel so much better. I’ve got bad knees as a result of a lot of kneeling over the years from gardening, and it has got a bit frayed in there, but I am a spring chicken again now.”

He acknowledged that despite being “fine at the moment,” he knows he needs to take care of his knees. At the age of 74, Alan continued, “I am just aware that I need to respect them and be gentle, and hopefully they’ll last a while longer.”

Keeping this in mind, Alan insists that his knee troubles are one of the reasons he declined an invitation to appear on Strictly Come Dancing. He told Saga Magazine: “Alison [my wife] was a dance tutor, and she is convinced my knees wouldn’t stay the course.”

Back pain

For Alan, back pain has always been a result of years of bending down. He discussed the difficulties of making his garden “more beautiful” in a 2020 interview with Wise Living Magazine.

He said, “The most glorious privilege is to beautify the earth on any scale.” However, Alan acknowledged the expense of making these improvements and that his 60 years of gardening have caused some back pain. Alan still considers himself to be “very lucky” to be able to work at his old age despite his circumstances.

Hearing issues

Alan has also admitted to using “invisible” hearing aids, particularly when presenting. The host has previously urged those with hearing loss to “get real” and confront the device’s stigma, as well as to end it.

He said to Times Radio, “There’s such a stigma attached to them, isn’t there? ” Old people wearing hearing aids, you know. However, I’ve spoken to a number of young people who are experiencing severe hearing loss.

He revealed that wearing hearing aids, especially for television, only makes things crispier. They are hidden behind my ears, which makes them invisible. The more people who uphold the statement, “Oh, for goodness sake, get real, this just happens as you get a little older, the better,” I don’t mind because I don’t mind.

BBC legend Angela Rippon opens up on health after sharing ‘ambition to die young’

Angela Rippon, who recently experienced a medical emergency while performing on the Strictly Come Dancing tour last year, has provided an update on her health in an exclusive interview.

Angela Rippon posed the question of how fit she felt at age 80.

Angela Rippon’s incredible high kick, which she shared with Kai Widdrington, absolutely made Strictly Come Dancing viewers gobsmacked in her performance in the year 2023. The 78-year-old participant in the program’s eldest ever participation made the spectacular move, which is undoubtedly one of the show’s most memorable moments.

The broadcaster, who spoke in an exclusive chat about her health, discussed how she maintains such remarkable flexibility while pondering a time when she had previously become unwell.

Angela, 80, a supporter of Age UK’s Act Now, Age Better initiative, explained that her parents had taught her the value of staying healthy and fit from a young age, and that this has helped her maintain a positive lifestyle.

The former news anchor confirmed that she is flourishing and has no plans to step back after receiving an update about her illness while on the Strictly tour last year.

Angela Rippon
Angela Rippon spoke up about the value of exercise.

Instead, she keeps a busy schedule and has ambitious plans to work on it for at least another year in time to reach her 60th on-screen milestone, according to Wales Online.

Angela stated that she is determined to work out every day for at least ten minutes, along with regular tennis and dancing sessions, to stay energetic.

When I work from home, she said, “I do a few stretching exercises that prepare me for the day, even in a small hotel room.”

According to my work schedule, I aim to walk at least once, if not twice, every day while I’m at home for 15 to 20 minutes. I’ve had a bad illness, but I don’t like it at all. The only way to do that is, as Eileen Fowler, a trainer, said, “You have to keep the machine working,” and that’s what I do. I like being fit, I like being able to do all of the things that I do. I enjoy doing it, not as a chore, because it’s what I enjoy doing.

Angela Rippon is supporting the campaign for Age UK.

The broadcaster generally avoids processed alternatives while enjoying numerous wholesome choices, including chicken, fish, and vegetables.

She has witnessed her late mother’s battle with dementia and is particularly concerned about keeping her brain healthy. She does so by highlighting the value of dancing, eating well, listening to music, and engaging the mind through puzzle-solving.

Angela, who recently declared she has an “ambition to die young, as late as possible,” can at least look forward to the future by adhering to medical advice on using brain-boosting techniques and maintaining physical fitness.

She continued, “I heard someone else say it and thought, What a brilliant saying. It’s not original to me.” However, I can relate to it very easily, just like the campaign Age UK is currently running. In a few weeks, I’ll turn 81, and I still have the ability to do things that many people my age can’t.

You’d be surprised at how many people respond to the question, “Is that really you putting your leg up on the table?” when I posted the Smart Meters advertisement. I assert that I am not an AI, but rather an AR person. I still have the ability to do those things. Although I can still do them, I like that even though I didn’t when I was 20, 30, or 40.

Angela Rippon
In Strictly in 2023, Angela Rippon showed off her impressive moves.

People are encouraged to take steps toward ageing in the most positive way possible, starting with maintaining an active lifestyle, according to Age UK’s Act Now, Age Better initiative, which was unveiled earlier this year.

Angela insists that dancing is the only exercise that benefits both your body and your mind. Every muscle in your body is used when you dance, if you give it some thought. Your brain is being stimulated by it.
