‘President Tinubu Not Doing Well’ — Moniedafe

Sunny Moniedafe, a former All Progressives Congress (APC) deputy national chairman (North), has approved President Bola Tinubu’s administration’s motion of no confidence. &nbsp,

He expressed grave concern about the party’s internal politics, suggesting that it might be about to collapse.

Dr. Moniedafe made a statement on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily program on Tuesday about the recent demands made by former All-Party Party (ANPP) members to ensure that the vice-presidential seat remained within their party ahead of the 2027 general elections.

He continued, “I don’t blame them.” They are correct, they say. Everyone wants to safeguard their interests.

Dr. Moniedafe’s assessment of President Tinubu’s leadership was further sour.

He said, “I believe we are heading for the rocks.” “President Tinubu is not doing well, and I’m sorry to say that.”

He criticized the relevance of the APC’s internal structure’s founding party blocs, including ANPP, CPC, and ACN.

He lamented how deepening the party’s divisions were, saying, “We should have outgrown those things by now.”

I called the president to tell them that the ACN existed when CPC created their own bloc.

Many party stakeholders remained silent or uninformed, Moniedafe added, despite the fact that many of them should be actively defending the administration’s policies.

He claimed that the party lacks internal control and accountability, adding, “They do not even know what to talk about.”

He claimed that the party’s elders should have convened a forum to serve as its conscience.

People there are still fortunate to be right now, he said. Tinubu, however, chose not to call because he was aware that some of his actions would not be supported by us.

He also questioned the President’s initial push for a second term.

From the moment he sworn in, “I have never heard, seen, or read about someone seeking a second term,” he claimed.

Moniedafe criticised Tinubu’s language during the selection of Vice President Kashim Shettima and expressed disbelief in policy decisions like the elimination of fuel subsidies.

You don’t say it like that, he said, even if Tinubu had the authority to choose who would become his vice. The party is in crisis, the party says.

He also criticized Rivers State’s response to the political unrest.

He claimed that no elected leader has the authority to oust an elected governor. “The mountain has fire,” the saying goes.

Read Peter Obi’s warning that Nigeria’s debt may exceed $200 trillion by 2025.

Dr. Moniedafe said he was “tired of keeping quiet” and made hints about a possible exit from the party if circumstances don’t change.

He warned people to be wary of hearing from me.

He concluded by wishing the recently appointed APC chairman the best, despite his disappointment with the appointment.

Remember that Moniedafe, who attended the APC’s national convention on March 26, 2022, sued the organization for the purchase of the nomination form for the position of Deputy National Chairman (North), for a sum of N10 million.

He claimed that the party’s leadership, under late President Muhammadu Buhari, urged aspirants to step down because it had been agreed that someone from Borno State in the North-East should take the position of Deputy National Chairman.

The late President Buhari reportedly issued a request for refunding the $10 million that aspirants paid for the nomination form.

However, he claimed in the lawsuit that “Disappointingly, the defendant’s leadership (APC) reneged on its promise and flagrantly refused, failed, and neglected to refund the said N10 million from March 2022 to the time of filing this case, despite repeated demands by me.”

He added that several letters were written to prominent APC figures, including Ahmad Lawan, the late Buhari, Professor Ibrahim Gambari, President Bola Tinubu, and former Senate President Ahmad Lawan.

Senator Abdullahi Adamu, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, former APC national chairman, Vice President Kashim Shettima, and House of Representatives Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila at the time were among the recipients.

The letters, which included reminders about the refund, did not lead to the desired outcome.

After winning back-to-back European titles with a dramatic victory over Spain on Sunday, The Lionesses staged an open-top bus parade along The Mall.

Before circling a stage in front of the Queen Victoria Memorial outside Buckingham Palace, fans lined the route.

The decisive penalty in Sunday’s shoot-out was scored by England’s winning goal at 2022, and Chloe Kelly said to the attendant fans, “Pressure, what pressure”?

The 27-year-old Arsenal player then used a expletive to express how special the support for the team has been at home and at the Euros in Switzerland.

You don’t see behind the scenes, but it is so good to stand side by side with each and every one of these girls throughout the entire tournament, and with the staff, she continued. It is incredible.

Sarina Wiegman, England coach, was surprised when her favorite singer Burna Boy joined the squad on stage to perform his hit For My Hand, which Princess Beatrice of York had already seen at the parade.

The Lionesses sang Proud, which became their tournament anthem before and after matches in Switzerland, in Heather Small’s dressing room.

Remi Tinubu Donates ₦1bn To Displaced Families In Benue

Remi Tinubu, the first lady, made the announcement on Tuesday that the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) would donate $1 billion to help families who have fled a suspected herders’ attack in Benue State.

Following the June 6 attack that claimed over 100 lives in the Yelewata community, she made the announcement at the Benue State Government House’s New Banquet Hall.

The donation, in her opinion, is in line with the Renewed Hope Initiative’s mission, which is to assist displaced families in gaining stability, earning money, and living conditions.

A $1 billion donation will be made by RHI on behalf of the Renewed Hope Initiative’s governing council to assist displaced families in getting back on their feet, making a living, and leading a better life.

According to Remi Tinubu, “This is in line with the Renewed Hope Initiative’s goals,” according to our motto, “Towards a Better Life for Families.”

What are cooling jackets and how do they work?

In order to help their players as they battle the heat during their Premier League Super Series campaign in the United States, Manchester United are using cooling jackets.

Cooling jackets have been around since the 1950s and 1960s, first being worn by the military, and have since been used in a variety of sports, including Formula 1, tennis, and rowing.

Studies have shown that they can improve endurance, performance, and reduce the risk of heat stroke and heat exhaustion. They are designed to lower an athlete’s core and skin temperature.

United currently employs a kit from Adidas, which was released earlier this year.

Players are wearing those cooling jackets after warming up and at half-time in the United States.

In a number of matches this summer, players at the 2025 Club World Cup experienced extreme heat. There were numerous cooling breaks and stadium installations of large mist fans on the sidelines.

How and how effectively do cooling jackets work?

The army’s first cooling jacket models required a power supply to circulate cold water around the body, but with advancements in technology, this is no longer the case.

An insulated jacket that goes over the top of a cooling vest was the Climacool System technology used by Adidas earlier this year.

The heart rate and body temperature are both higher in a hot environment and lower when exercising at the same intensity. According to Dr. Chris Tyler, a University of Roehampton reader in environmental physiology, that can result in things like heat exhaustion or even worse.

“All that the vest will claim to do is reduce is.” Therefore, they will lower the strain, heart rate, and body temperature.

The vest’s effectiveness depends in large part on how it is used. There is a significant difference between a person’s actual body temperature and how they feel.

They must be worn for a long time and extend their reach.

A key factor in the World Cup of 2026?

The Club World Cup, which was unofficially a warm-up for the 2026 men’s World Cup, provides a good idea of what can be anticipated during the next summer’s tournament in the United States, Canada, and Mexico given the conditions.

48 nations will participate in the World Cup, compared to the 32-team Club World Cup. This will increase the number of daytime games and create more technical difficulties for players.

When questioned about the necessity of wearing cooling vests at the Club World Cup, Dr. Tyler responded, “Certainly some some kind of proactive cooling intervention.”

Avoiding playing in those circumstances is the best way to prevent it, according to the author.

There might be some proactive scheduling, they say. In La Liga, for instance, people have been mentioning very early kick-offs or very late kick-offs, and they do it in particular when the game starts off very late.

There is no reason to believe that the teams will be adopting cooling strategies to try to combat that because we saw players struggling this summer.

Dr. Tyler added that he anticipates widespread use of cooling jackets or at least some form of cooling equipment throughout the World Cup.

“Definitely. All the capable teams will. Those teams who have a lot of backing will undoubtedly do so, he said, and teams are already preparing for the heat of the upcoming World Cup.

“Some of those might be custom-made measures, while others might be off-the-shelf measures.”

Because they can control the tempo, they can make the opponent run, and those things, the better teams are generally less affected by the heat.

Formula One coolant jackets

Adidas introduced the Climacool System, which consists of a specially designed cooling vest and an insulated jacket in March.

Mercedes’ F1 team used the jackets for all races where the drivers’ performance would be impacted by the hot weather.

Drivers can experience temperatures between 55C and 60C, according to the manufacturer, which results in a weight loss of 4.2kg (9.3 pounds) in one race just in sweat.

F1 drivers frequently submerge themselves in water before a race to prepare for the race.

An hour before the race, according to Dr. Tyler, “often, F1 drivers” do that.

“When they put on the vests, that’s largely perceptual,” is what they’re doing. They’re attempting to make those vests as much as they can so that they can feel cooler for as long as possible.

When the temperatures are high enough, the FIA will start to introduce various in-car cooling suits. That will now be very similar to what the military used to do.

The drivers will be sitting, which means they won’t be as active as they would if they were running, but they will be sitting on an engine or a hot track.

Although I have my doubts about whether they will be able to extract enough heat to actually reduce the drivers’ strain, they will undoubtedly make them feel a little cooler.

The Formula One teams have since suddenly gotten their badges, which is a nice platform for all of their businesses and sponsors.

Tinubu’s Aide Justifies Falcons’ Cash Reward, Cites ₦150m BBNaija Prize

President Bola Tinubu’s Super Falcons received a financial reward for their participation in the recently concluded Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, according to President Bayo Onanuga, who has defended the statement.

Onanuga questioned why some Nigerians don’t like the President’s cash reward for the players in a post on his X handle on Tuesday.

He compared it to the reality series winner of Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) for the 150 million grand prize.

According to him, President Tinubu praised excellence, originality, hard work, soccer talent, and the unwavering spirit of Nigeria.

You may recall that Multichoice, the creator of the BBNaija reality show, is giving the winner a prize of $150 million in cash, but why are some Nigerians unappreciative of President Tinubu’s gifts to the Super Falcons.
