Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom may have recently announced the end of their romantic relationship, but their latest public appearance tells a different story.

The former couple, who said they are now focusing on co-parenting their daughter Daisy Dove, have joined newlyweds Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez on what appears to be part of the couple’s honeymoon.

The Teenage Dream singer, 40, and the 48-year-old actor were seen on board Bezos’s luxury superyacht in the Mediterranean, accompanied by their four-year-old daughter.

Despite confirming they had decided to ‘shift’ their relationship to focus purely on parenting, Katy and Orlando appeared relaxed and happy to be spending time together as a family, in pictures obtained by Mail Online.

Their appearance on the yacht has drawn even more attention, not only because of the high-profile nature of the Bezos ‘ ‘ honeymoon, but also due to the timing of their getaway following their split. Many expected the couple to be spending time apart following their separation, yet they seem to have chosen the opposite by joining a romantic trip.

Katy, who missed Bezos and Sanchez’s extravagant £48 million wedding in Venice while touring in Australia, may have been making up for lost time. Dressed in a black bikini, the Dark Horse singer looked at ease as she enjoyed the Italian coast and watched Orlando play affectionately with their daughter.

Orlando, for his part, seemed equally content as he was seen throwing Daisy into the air before catching her and kissing her on the cheek.

The actor had previously attended the wedding solo, where he was spotted socialising with a high-profile guest list including Tom Brady, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Sydney Sweeney. He was also seen chatting with a mystery woman during the celebrations which raised many an eyebrow.

Still, despite appearances at separate events and suggestions of moving on, their yacht trip suggests that Katy and Orlando continue to operate as a close-knit unit.

Last week, the pair officially called it quits on their nine-year romance – six years after the Pirates of The Caribbean actor popped the question.

In a statement, their respective representatives declared: “Orlando and Katy have been shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on coparenting. They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is – and always will be – raising their daughter with love, stability and mutual respect”.

Before the official announcement, an insider had informed the magazine of their amicable split, stating: “Katy and Orlando have split but are amicable. It’s not contentious at the moment. Katy is of course upset but is relieved to not have to go through another divorce, as that was the worst time in her life”.

Hints of trouble had appeared on Orlando’s Instagram stories on July 2, where he shared a poignant message from Carl Gustav Jung: “Loneliness does not come from having no people about one, but from being unable to communicate the things that seem important to oneself”.

This came shortly after a June 30 post quoting Buddha: “Each day is a new beginning. What we do today is what matters most”. The signs of a separation were evident in Orlando’s posts before the official statement, and he turned up alone at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s nuptials.

Tour duties kept Katy Perry from attending the glitzy event. Days before, the 40-year-old delivered an emotionally charged performance in Adelaide, Australia, on June 30. Katy Perry broke down as she wrapped up her set, fighting back tears and creating a heart sign with her hands to express her affection for the crowd.

Grateful for their unwavering support, Katy told the audience: “Thank you for always being there for me, Australia. It means the world”. After regaining her composure, Katy burst into her renowned hit ‘ Firework’.

Katy and Orlando’s love story began in 2016, endured a brief hiatus after a year, before rekindling flames in 2018. The power couple got engaged in 2019 and embraced parenthood with the arrival of Daisy Dove in 2020.

US envoy hails Lebanon’s response to Hezbollah disarmament proposals

A senior United States envoy has praised the Lebanese government’s response to a US proposal aimed at disarming Hezbollah amid Israel’s continued military presence in the country.

Thomas Barrack, an adviser to US President Donald Trump who serves as Washington’s ambassador to Turkiye and special envoy for Syria, returned to Beirut on Monday after delivering the US proposal during a June 19 visit.

The plan called for the Shia Lebanese group Hezbollah to fully disarm within four months in exchange for a halt to Israeli air strikes and the full withdrawal of Israel’s military from the five positions it continues to occupy in southern Lebanon.

“What the government gave us was something spectacular in a very short period of time,” Barrack told reporters on Monday after meeting Lebanese President Joseph Aoun. “I’m unbelievably satisfied with the response.”

While Barrack confirmed that he had received a seven-page reply from the Lebanese side, he offered no details on its contents.

Barrack said that he believed both Lebanon and Israel were seeking a path toward de-escalation. “Both countries are trying to give the same thing – the notion of a stand-down agreement, of the cessation of hostilities, and a road to peace.”

The remarks come as tensions remain high as Israel continues to bombard Lebanon despite agreeing to a ceasefire in November.

The conflict between Israel and Hezbollah erupted in October 2023 after the Lebanese group attacked Israel in solidarity with the Palestinian group Hamas in Gaza. It spiralled into full-scale conflict by September the following year, killing more than 4,000 people – including Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah and other senior officials – and displacing nearly 1.4 million people, according to Lebanese authorities.

Lebanon’s president and prime minister – both installed earlier this year – have promised to strengthen the state and the army, and said that Hezbollah, long viewed as the most powerful military force in Lebanon, must not be more powerful than the government.

However, Israel has continued to strike Lebanon, claiming its operations are aimed at preventing Hezbollah from rearming. Lebanese health officials say around 250 people have been killed and more than 600 wounded in Israeli attacks since the ceasefire.

Hezbollah has not issued a formal response to the US proposal. However, its leader, Naim Qassem, said on Sunday that the group would not disarm while Israel continued its aggression.

“We cannot be asked to soften our stance or lay down arms while [Israeli] aggression continues,” Qassem told thousands of supporters during Ashura commemorations in the southern suburbs of Beirut.

Barrack acknowledged that Hezbollah would need guarantees that it could continue operating as a political force within Lebanon.

But signs of de-escalation were absent on the ground. Just hours before Barrack’s arrival, Israel launched a wave of air strikes on southern and eastern Lebanon and carried out a ground invasion into a border village.

Lebanese officials and diplomats said the latest military action appeared to be an attempt to increase pressure on Hezbollah ahead of diplomatic discussions.

On Saturday, Lebanon’s Ministry of Public Health reported that an “Israeli enemy drone attack on a vehicle” in the Saf al-Hawa area of southern Lebanon’s Bint Jbeil killed one person and injured two others.

Earlier that day, the ministry said a separate Israeli drone strike wounded one person in the town of Shebaa. Lebanon’s National News Agency reported the attack hit a house in the village, which lies along Lebanon’s border with Syria and the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights.

Wimbledon Changes Line-Calling System After Embarrassing Blunder

After being forced to apologize for an embarrassing operator error, Wimbledon chiefs have changed their electronic line-calling system to eliminate the possibility of human error.

Following the issue that occurred during their fourth-round encounter on Centre Court on Sunday, officials apologized to Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova and Sonay Kartal.

Following a thorough investigation, the organisers admitted that the technology had been disabled in an incorrect location of the court for a game, with the error only emerging when a shot from Britain’s Kartal, which clearly missed the baseline, was not called out.

All England Club officials removed the option to manually turn off ball-tracking in response to criticism of the error.

The All England Lawn Tennis Club (AELTC) announced in a statement to BBC Sport that “we have now removed the ability for Hawk-Eye operators to manually deactivate the ball tracking.”

Due to the system changes we made, this error cannot now be repeated, despite the fact that the issue was caused by human error.

The call, which had been made, would have given Russia’s Pavlyuchenkova a 5-4 lead in the opening set, but umpire Nico Helwerth decided to play the point again, with Kartal winning.

The Russian, who won the match in straight sets, claimed that the official was biased because she was “local” and could say anything. You robbed me of my game.

Wimbledon claimed in a statement on Sunday that the system had been “deactivated in error” by the system’s operators for one game.

Sally Bolton, the head of the All England Club, told reporters on Monday that the technology was “working optimally” before Wimbledon made the announcement about the system change.

She claimed that the chair (umpire) was unaware that the tracking system had been deactivated due to human error, which led to the issue.

“We’ve spoken to the players, we’ve offered our sincere apologies, and we’ve quickly moved on to reviewing everything that transpired yesterday afternoon and making the necessary adjustments.”

In line with the Australian Open and US Open, a fully automated system will now serve as Wimbledon’s replacement judges in 2025.

Other players, including British stars Emma Raducanu and Jack Draper, expressed concerns about the technology in Sunday’s game, though.

Two of the 80 former line judges who serve as match assistants on each court who assist the umpire are on each court.

Bolton claimed that returning them to the courts was not necessary.

She claimed that the system was operational. It had been turned off. We needed the system to function, not just to reinstate line judges.
