Defending champions Henry Patten and Harri Heliovaara continued their pursuit of back-to-back Wimbledon men’s doubles titles with victory over British pair Billy Harris and Marcus Willis.
Briton Patten and his Finnish partner Heliovaara came out on top 7-6 (8-6) 6-3 on another hot day at SW19 to progress to the third round.
They have now knocked out two British pairings in as many matches, with victory over Dan Evans and Henry Searle in round one.
Hunting a third Grand Slam title at their fifth major, the partnership is already proving to be effective, having only joined up in April last year.
They took one hour and 20 minutes to move past Willis and Harris, whose best run in the singles draw ended in the second round on Thursday, with Patten’s accurate overhead smashes and strong serving proving useful.
Patten and Heliovaara took the first set after a tightly contested tie-break before a break to love on the Harris serve was enough for the second seeds to see out victory.
Patten then partnered compatriot Olivia Nicholls to beat Argentina’s Andres Molteni and American Asia Muhammad 6-3 6-4 as the mixed doubles got under way at the All England Club.
The opening round featured plenty of British interest with success for Joshua Paris and Eden Silva as they ran out 6-4 3-6 7-6 (7-5) winners against Dutch pair Sander Arends and Demi Schuurs.

Oasis are officially back together and will be performing their first show of the highly anticipated reunion tonight. Noel and Liam Gallagher put their differences aside for the sake of their fans as they are due to perform in Cardiff tonight.
The reunion tour was announced last year which was met with thousands of fans trying to get their hands on a ticket. But the wait it now over as those who were lucky enough to get a ticket will see the brothers get back together for the first time since the band split in 2009.
However, many have been left wondering as to what they can really expect during the tour. Here’s everything you need to know about Oasis getting back together.

Setlist
Due to Cardiff being the first show, fans are yet to find out what the official setlist is. However, it is pretty certain that some of Oasis’ biggest hits will be on the list.
You can expect to hear the likes Don’t Look Back in Anger, Live Forever, Wonderwall and Champagne Supernova. Despite nothing being confirmed, a rumoured setlist has been leaked online.
According to one fan, they have claimed they heard the full rehearsal setlist after staying for the duration of the playback. They said the tracks to be belted out by 74,500 in attendance will be as follows:
EXCLUSIVE: The Princess Andre 18th birthday saga, in which Katie Price claims she was banned from celebrating with her daughter, has left the former glamour model ‘really upset’, according to sources
Katie Price is said to be upset following Princess’ birthday
It’s been 16 years since Katie Price split from her first husband, Peter Andre, but it seems their feud is far from over. In fact, things appear to have escalated even further, and the former glamour model is said to have reached breaking point.
In a furious rant, Katie, 47, claimed she was “left out” of their daughter Princess’s 18th birthday party, which was hosted by Peter and his wife Emily. “The situation has really upset Katie,” says a source.
“There has been a build-up of tension recently and it all came to a head last week over Princess’s birthday. Katie was devastated and felt like she had basically been banned from attending. All the talk about their relationship angered and upset her, and she had a bit of a meltdown – because she is still so close to her kids.

“Falling out with her children would be her worst fear. They only have one mum and it is her. She adores them, sees them regularly and she’d never want to lose that. ”
Princess celebrated her milestone birthday at an intimate party with dad Peter, 52, and his wife, Emily MacDonagh, 35. Members of Pete’s management team, The Can Group, were also guests. But the top PR company found themselves on the receiving end of Katie’s anger after she alleged she wasn’t invited because they wouldn’t “allow” Princess – who they also represent – to be seen with her mother.

“Princess is now an adult, so, officially, Mummy and Princess can go out together,” Katie stated on her podcast, The Katie Price Show, before adding, pointedly, “If certain people would let her be seen with me.”
However, when contacted by New magazine, the management firm claimed: “We have never – and would never – stop Princess from seeing Katie. We would never intervene in any of our clients seeing their parents or not. ”
Another source claims: “Pete and Emily simply put on a three-hour party for Princess’ 18th, which is totally normal for any child of parents who have split. They organise things separately – Pete’s never been invited to anything Katie’s organised, and vice versa. Katie was in Dubai – she could have come back.
“It’s such a shame – this should have been about Princess. It’s an important birthday, she’s doing so well in her career and she should have been enjoying it, rather than worrying about all this. ”
While Katie may not have been involved in the Andres’ party, it was believed she and Princess would celebrate in their own way. “Maybe we’ll have a nice dinner together,” Princess told OK! magazine last month.
However, Katie – who, during her trip to Dubai, shared an image of writing on a beach which read, ‘My daughters will always be my Princesses’ – later suffered an embarrassing social media blunder when she posted a birthday message to Princess two days early.
“Happy 18th Birthday to the most amazing daughter. And my best friend @princess_andre. I love you so much,” she wrote on 27 June, before swiftly deleting it, later sharing a second message on 29 June – Princess’ actual birthday.
Following the faux pas, Katie fell foul of online trolls, with one saying she “can’t even remember her own daughter’s birthday”.
This, the source close to Katie claims, made her see red. “She doesn’t like being trolled or for people to think she’s a bad mum. She loves her kids. ”
Meanwhile, Katie spoke of her lack of involvement in Princess’ upcoming ITV reality show on the podcast, saying, “I’m not in it. Certain people don’t think it’s good for Princess to be seen with me,” claimed Katie, who also shares son Junior, 20, with Peter.
Katie’s sister and podcast co-host, Sophie, then chimed in, “You aren’t on brand, Kate. You’re too risky. ” Clearly riled, Katie continued, “It’s pathetic. I’m her mother… It’s so sad. ” Sophie then cut in, diplomatically “let’s save that for another day”.
Katie’s rant is the latest in a string of controversial comments about her ex-husband, who she fell for while appearing on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in 2004. At the time of her divorce from the singer, Katie admitted she didn’t want to split up, saying, “Pete is the love of my life. I am devastated and disappointed by his decision. ”
Last October, Katie branded Peter “jealous” as she discussed their divorce on The Louis Theroux Podcast. And when quizzed about how they communicate post-split, she simply said, “Don’t speak to him. ”
Both Princess and Junior have a strong bond with their pop star dad and spend most of their time at home with him, Emily, and their three children – Amelia, 11, Theo, eight, and one-year-old Arabella.
Katie said last year, “[Princess and Junior] know their dad is never written about in a bad way. They know I’m always written about in a bad way. ”

The source close to Katie adds, “She doesn’t like constantly being painted in a bad light. Pete feels as though he is the protector and because their relationship is strained it’s a tough balance to strike. It’s been a case of high emotions for Katie. ”
Rwandan President Paul Kagame has cautiously welcomed a United States-brokered peace deal with the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), while suggesting Kigali will retaliate if provoked.
Speaking at a news conference in Kigali on Friday, Kagame said Rwanda remained committed to the agreement but questioned whether Kinshasa would uphold its part of the deal.
“If the side that we are working with plays tricks and takes us back to the problem, then we deal with the problem like we have been dealing with it,” Kagame said.
The agreement, backed by the administration of US President Donald Trump, was signed last week and calls for Rwandan troops to withdraw from eastern DRC within 90 days.
The region has seen intense fighting this year, with M23 rebels seizing major towns. The United Nations has accused Rwanda of backing the group with thousands of troops – an allegation Kigali denies.
While the peace deal is seen as a turning point, analysts do not believe it will quickly end the fighting because M23 – a major belligerent in the conflict – says the agreement does not apply to it.

US ‘not to blame’ if deal fails
Rwanda insists its military presence in eastern DRC is a response to threats from the Democratic Forces for the Liberation of Rwanda (FDLR), an armed group made up of ethnic Hutu fighters linked to the 1994 Rwandan genocide.
Kagame said Kinshasa must act to dismantle the FDLR if the deal is to succeed.
“We are grateful to the Trump administration for its efforts,” he said. “If it doesn’t work, they aren’t the ones to blame. ”
There has been no official response from Kinshasa, which has consistently accused Rwanda of fuelling the conflict.
Rwanda-backed M23 is the most prominent armed group in the conflict in eastern DRC, and its major advance early this year left bodies on the streets. With 7 million people displaced in DRC, the UN has called it “one of the most protracted, complex, serious humanitarian crises on Earth”.
M23 has not been involved in the US-mediated efforts, although it has been part of other peace talks. On Thursday, both the Congolese government and M23 representatives agreed that they would return to Qatar for further discussions aimed at ending the conflict.
Meanwhile, Washington has proposed a separate investment plan that could allow Western companies to tap into the region’s rich deposits of tantalum, copper, and gold – resources that have long fuelled violence in eastern DRC.
Kagame’s appearance on Friday marked his first public remarks since June 6, prompting speculation during his absence about his health. Dissidents abroad, including former adviser David Himbara, claimed the president was seriously unwell.
Kagame dismissed the rumours with a joke. “Some of my personal health problems might originate from managing you people,” he said, sparking laughter.
Liam and Noel Gallagher have reunited for an epic tour, with Oasis’ first gig in 16 years starting at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium and they also have a very big team
Oasis ‘hire Justin Bieber’s bodyguard and Madonna’s chef’ for sold-out tour(Image: Getty Images)
Oasis have reportedly hired Justin Bieber’s bodyguard, Ian Norrington, and Madonna’s chef, Darren Staats, for their reunion tour – which starts today in Cardiff. Ian was the Peaches singer’s bodyguard during the height of his fruitful career as well as Taylor Swift and Karlie Kloss.
The Muay Thai enthusiast will be looking after Liam and Noel Gallagher, and band members Paul Arthurs, Gem Archer, Andy Bell and Joey Waronker, during the long-awaited tour following their 16-year feud. “Oasis know the tour is going to be absolutely frenzied so there is no one better to look after them than Ian,” an insider claimed.

Liam and Noel will reportedly also be joined by Madonna’s former ‘clean-eating’ chef Darren, who ‘knows exactly what the band want on tour’, The Sun reported. The Mirror have reached out to Oasis for comment.
The Mirror recently reported that the main Oasis line up was as expected with Liam as the frontman and Noel on guitar alongside close pals and regulars Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs, Gem Archer and Andy Bell.
The new drummer is Joey Waronker, who performed with Liam Gallagher and John Squire last year on a tour.

In the tour programme, there are a few more musicians playing with Oasis, including Christian Madden on keyboards, Jess Greenfield on backing vocals, Alastair White on trombone, Steve Hamilton on saxophone and Joe Auckland will be playing the trumpet.
The Mirror understands Jess will no longer be on stage with a source close to the group saying she was only listed in the earlier drafts of the programme and won’t be going on tour.
An insider said: “The band are not using backing singers anymore. Noel has worked loads with Jess in the past but after final rehearsals were done and the set list was drawn up it made more sense for Noel to do the backing vocals for Liam on the songs.

“It’s a shame for Jess but it’s likely there will be other opportunities for her with Noel in the future. They just didn’t need her in the end. “
Speaking on the Behind The Curtain podcast, Jess spoke about the reunion and said: “I found out pretty much when everyone else did. I’d heard rumours and then I heard for definite two days before through someone else. Yeah It was definitely a shock.
“I’d love to go. Hopefully Wembley cos it is Wembley. It’s amazing and the last time they performed those songs properly was in the Nineties when I was a teenager and I didn’t go to the gigs back in the day.
“So it will be nice to see it as an adult. I’m really looking forward to it. ”

Cameron Norrie remains the last Briton standing in the men’s singles draw at Wimbledon as he progressed to the fourth round with a straight-set win over Italian Matteo Bellucci.
Playing on Court One – which he describes as his favourite court at the tournament – the 29-year-old battled to a 7-6 (7-5) 6-4 6-3 victory over the world number 73.
Norrie had already gone one better than British number one Jack Draper, who suffered a shock second-round exit on Thursday, but ensured British interest is not over yet by booking his place in the last 16 for the second time in his career.
Having overcome stern tests in his opening two rounds against Spanish veteran Roberto Bautista Agut then American 12th seed Frances Tiafoe, Norrie faced a more straightforward task, on paper at least, against Bellucci.
The Italian was enjoying his best career run at a Grand Slam but caused Norrie problems in a tense first set.
Currently ranked 61 in the world, Norrie found his stride to weather the storm, then comfortably navigated the next two and set up a meeting with Chile’s Nicolas Jarry or Brazil’s Joao Fonseca.
Norrie came into the Championships at the All England Club knowing all the scrutiny was on compatriot Draper, seeded fourth.
That could be a contributing factor as to why Norrie said he is enjoying his tennis “more than ever” with less of the pressure that comes with being British number one.
That, and the chance to play free-flowing tennis after a turbulent period – he was ranked as low as 91 in April, having been inside the world’s top 10 three years ago.
With Draper out, the crowd on Court One were suitably fired up to support the last remaining home player in the men’s draw, although they did not have much to shout about in the opening exchanges as Bellucci immediately broke to love.
Norrie almost secured an instant break back but an enthusiastic Bellucci put up staunch resistance to consolidate his advantage.
When the break back did eventually come in the eighth game, the crowd were only too willing to join in with Norrie’s celebrations before rising to their feet again after a stunning backhand winner helped him seal a tightly contested tie-break.
The gusto that had carried Bellucci through the first set faded in the second as the error count began to creep up and Norrie took full advantage.
The pair exchanged breaks in the second set but, when Norrie moved ahead in the seventh game, Bellucci could find no response and the Briton took the set with his second opportunity.
Norrie again found the early break in the third set with a stunning forehand winner down the line before pushing further ahead with a glorious drop shot to take the double break.
