Taxi Driver actor Robert De Niro, 81, enjoyed a wholesome trip to see The Wiggles in New York City with his two-year-old daughter, Gia

Robert De Niro swapped Hollywood sets for something a little more wholesome as he took his two-year-old daughter Gia to meet The Wiggles. The 81-year-old A-lister, who shares the toddler with martial artist girlfriend Tiffany Chen, 45, took the little one to hang out with the Australian children’s group before their show in New York over the weekend.

The Wiggles shared a sweet clip of Robert shaking hands with all the cast members, who were dressed in their colourful costumes ready for the show. The Taxi Driver actor looked delighted to be there while adorable Gia played with bubbles and looked at her favourite characters in awe.

“It was such a thrill to spend some time with the legendary Robert De Niro and his family before our concert here in New York City,” they captioned the post.

A few other children and their parents were seen backstage with the cast as they entertained the little ones. Earlier this year, Robert opened up about life as a new dad.

While appearing on BBC Radio 2’s Breakfast Show in February, the actor spoke to radio host Scott Mills about his daughter Gia.

Robert – known for films like The Godfather Part II (1974) and Taxi Driver (1976) – revealed in the interview that he doesn’t watch as many films as he “should”. He went on to tease that he watches children’s shows with Gia though.

Asked what he watches at home, the actor told host Scott: “I don’t watch as many movies as I should. I try to watch films especially that I’m told … I just wanna keep up, but I watch current events if you will, news, stuff like that.

“Now I watch with my little girl … the Wiggles and Ms Rachel. “

Scott then asked about his knowledge of other kids shows, saying: “Do you know about Bluey? ” Robert replied: “No. I’ll look up … I’ll look for them. “

The presenter said: “Please will someone write this down because this might change your life in terms of attention span. Do you know what I’m saying? Bluey and Hey Duggee. “

Robert responded: “Bluey and Hey Duggee, okay. ” While discussing the Wiggles and Ms Rachel, he added: “I didn’t know of them until I started seeing them and my daughter loves to watch them. ” He later said about the Wiggles: “They’re great. Got lots of energy, they’re terrific. “

In January, Robert told The Times that he’s an “early riser” and said about his youngest daughter: “I spend my mornings watching Ms Rachel with her, and I give her her bottle. “

Victoria is reportedly “worried” that Brooklyn will “snub his sister’s birthday entirely” and is “heartbroken by how things played out”. Despite her worries, she is determined to make sure her youngest enjoys her special day.

The source added: “Victoria won’t let anything get in the way of making Harper’s day just as special as when she turned a teen last year. She is going to make sure she makes a fuss and is planning a special mum-and-daughter trip away, so they can have some quality time together. She knows how hard it is to be a teenage girl with all the family stress, she wants to do all their favourite things. ”

“She knows Brooklyn could choose to ignore the birthday, so she wants to overcompensate for that. Victoria is determined that nothing will ruin Harper’s special day and all the celebrations. ”

The Beckhams have reportedly been battling a growing rift for quite some time, with Brooklyn Beckham and his actress wife Nicola Peltz being at the heart of growing tensions in the family.

The married couple are said to be increasingly distant from David, Victoria, and the rest of the Beckham family.

During Tuesday’s episode of Good Morning Britain, Ranvir Singh courageously opened up about a chilling experience she endured years ago – a drink spiking incident that left her physically and mentally incapacitated, with no recollection of how she got home.

The 47-year-old shared her story while the show’s hosts, Susanna Reid and Ed Balls, interviewed spiking survivor Rachel Ovens and campaigner Ashley James about the alarming rise in such attacks. Inspired by Rachel’s courage, Ranvir recounted her own frightening ordeal that unfolded while she was working in Manchester over a decade ago.

She recalled the evening vividly: “It was about 7:30pm, my very first drink. I had arrived early – I think it was for a work event, though I honestly can’t remember exactly why I was there. ”

Sitting alone at the bar, she ordered a glass of wine, sipping half or three-quarters of it before deciding to quickly go to the bathroom. “The loos were down the stairs,” she explained, “but even before I got there, everything started to swim. ”

Ranvir’s voice grew quieter as she described the terrifying loss of control: “My legs just gave way beneath me, and I found myself going downstairs. ”

By the time she returned to the main floor, she was disoriented and alarmed, unable to hear properly. “I couldn’t hear anything at all,” she said. “I looked down at the bar and thought, ‘I can’t go back down there,’ so I just left. ”

What happened next is a blank spot in her memory. “I can’t remember that evening. I can’t even recall getting home,” she admitted, her tone heavy with the weight of the unknown.

Susanna, visibly concerned, asked if Ranvir had reported the incident at the time. “I didn’t,” Ranvir replied. “This was around 12 or 13 years ago. Back then, it didn’t even occur to me to report it. ”

Highlighting how widespread this issue is, Ranvir shared a startling moment: “Just now, while we were talking about it, my female producer – who’s right there in the gallery said it happened to her too. ” She shook her head, amazed and saddened by the frequency of such attacks. “It’s incredible how common it really is. ”

Prevalence of spiking is continuing to grow, with 11% of UK adults report being spiked at any point in their lives. 9% of males report thinking they have ever been a victim of drink spiking and 13% of females.

The jury in Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ sex trafficking trial have asked two questions to the judge, as they begin their deliberations in the high-profile case

The fact the jury deliberating in the Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs trial sent two notes to the judge could be a good sign for the embattled rapper, it’s been claimed. The music mogul, 55, is currently awaiting his fate at the hands of 12 jurors as his sex-trafficking trial comes to a conclusion.

Jury deliberations commenced on Monday, but things took an unexpected turn when two notes were handed over to the presiding judge from the jury.

The first note revealed concerns from a juror about their ability to comprehend the extensive 61-page instructions delivered by the judge right before deliberations got underway.

Despite this, Judge Arun Subramanian was adamant that jurors should strictly adhere to his directions, even if it meant the deliberative process would be prolonged.

Hours later, the second note sought further explanation concerning the section on drug distribution within the instructions—a key point in Combs’ racketeering conspiracy charge. This request was addressed, and deliberations proceeded, with speculation that a verdict might come down by this afternoon (UK time).

Combs finds himself facing serious allegations including two counts of sex trafficking, two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, and one count of racketeering—all charges he vehemently denies. The music industry titan could be sentenced to life imprisonment if found guilty.

But Combs may be heartened by the jury’s note-passing. Mitch Epner, a New York-based lawyer and former prosecutor, argues that the notes may turn out to be good sign for Combs.

“First, it is unusual for the jurors to send a note to the judge this early, other than asking for logistical help. Second, this note indicates that there may already be a breakdown in the deliberative process,” he tells the BBC.

A conviction requires the full agreement of the jury panel. The reasons behind the unease concerning juror number 25, and their struggle to adhere to the judge’s guidance remain unrevealed.

Epner highlighted that while a juror can be dismissed for not engaging in deliberations, they cannot be ousted solely for “having come to a fixed conclusion about the proper verdict”.

In the final arguments last week, both federal prosecutors and Combs’ defence team made their concluding attempts to sway the jury towards conviction or acquittal.

Assistant US Attorney Christy Slavik argued: “The defendant used power, violence and fear to get what he wanted. He thought that his fame, wealth and power put him above the law.”

She accused him of relying on a “close inner circle and a small army of personal staff, who made it their mission to meet the defendant’s every desire, promote his power and protect his reputation at all costs.”

However, Combs’ defence attorney Marc Agnifilo countered these claims, stating: “This isn’t about crime. It’s about money.” He pointed out that one of the accusers had also filed a civil lawsuit against Combs.

Agnifilo defended his client, saying: “He is not a racketeer. He is not a conspirator to commit racketeering. He is none of these things. He is innocent. He sits there innocent. Return him to his family, who have been waiting for him,” as he addressed the jury.
