Louise Thompson praised for bikini photos showing stoma bag as she urges ‘be kind’

After years of battle with ulcerative colitis, former Made in Chelsea actress Louise Thompson bravely displayed her stoma bag in a number of bikini photos.

Louise Thompson has been praised for proudly showing her stoma bag in some inspiring new bikini photos. The mum-of-one, 35, revealed last year that she had been fitted with a stoma, which is a surgically-created opening made in the abdomen to divert the flow of body waste, after years of battling ulcerative colitis.

The former Made In Chelsea star, who is the sister of fellow reality star, Sam Thompson, has spoken openly about her health concerns after a traumatic birth with her son, Leo, who she shares with fiancé, Ryan Libbey, in 2021, in which she almost died.

After revealing that she had a stoma fitted following numerous hospital visits to treat her chronic bowel condition, Louise has now urged people to “be kind” by sharing photos of herself sporting a yellow bikini where clearly visible her stoma bag, which she calls “Winnie.”

Louise acknowledged she doesn’t typically wear a bikini and shared that she doesn’t usually wear one when describing the photos of her radiant two-piece on vacation. I don’t believe it’s because I just really enjoy wearing a swimsuit for comfort, I don’t believe it’s because of confidence. It’s very practical, and I’d venture to say that when you’re in your mid-thirties, you’ll feel more sophisticated.

People staring at me that much are another thing I don’t LOVE. No stoma, or no stoma. You get more attention with a random black or grey bag glued to your abs regardless of the circumstances, even though it doesn’t happen to me as frequently as it does now that I’m a little older and a mother (gone are the days of men checking me out on the tube or the beach). Really unsurprising.

She continued, “I fancied giving my tummy a little tan time/vit d on holiday… so here she is,” saying she feels “no shame” when she looks at her body.

“The old bod,” Winnie and me hanging out. Wearing her with admiration. I believe I still have it. I feel good.

Louise continued, “I don’t feel held back at all, but I know some do, and I want to remind anyone out there who doesn’t really understand what this is that many normal and nice people in the UK have them (100k) and to be kind.

” Don’t judge. People can choose to wear what they want. If you really can’t help it, ask polite questions. You might discover some cool things. #stoma. “

After sharing her encouraging post, Louise received numerous compliments, including from one follower, who said, “You look incredible, but even more so than looking incredible, the way you speak about how things are for you will help so many people get through their difficulties.” You are the woman I need if I ever needed someone who inspires me.

Another wrote, “You’re amazing, Louise,” while another wrote, “It’s all about the big love heart emoji.

Wildfires threaten Turkiye’s fourth-largest city

Over 3,500 people fled their homes over the weekend due to high fires that erupted in Bursa, Turkiye’s fourth-largest city, in the area. The city was blanketed in fog-like smoke from fires and smouldering foliage on Monday morning.

The wildfires are being fueled by record-breaking heatwaves in Turkiye and other parts of the eastern Mediterranean due to unseasonably high temperatures, dry conditions, and strong winds.

After two volunteer firefighters passed away, the number of wildfire deaths outside the city of Bursa in northwest Turkiye reached four late on Sunday.

According to news agency IHA, the pair were taken to a hospital after being pulled from a water tanker that rolled while attempting to start a forest fire. A firefighter died on Sunday after suffering a heart attack, and another worker died earlier at the scene of the accident.

10 rescue volunteers and forestry workers were killed on Wednesday in a fire in the northwestern city of Eskisehir, bringing the total number of wildfire deaths in Turkiye to 17 since late June.

In addition to the hundreds of fires that have affected the nation in the past month, Bursa is one of them. While a small number of homes have been damaged, vast areas of forest have been turned into ash while firefighting teams have managed to contain it.

Forestry Minister Ibrahim Yumakli claimed that Turkiye battled at least 44 separate fires on Sunday. The most serious fires, he said, are those in Bursa province, Karabuk in the northwest, and Kahramanmaras in the south.

Izmir and Bilecik, two western provinces, have been designated as disaster areas by the government. Justice Minister Yilmaz Tunc reported that 97 people were facing charges in 33 of Turkiye’s 81 provinces in relation to the fires.

Tinubu A Listening President, Policies Reviving Private Sector — Dangote

Aliko Dangote, the founder of the Dangote Group, praised President Bola Tinubu for his policies that have restored investor confidence in the country’s economy.

The Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment, Dr. Jumoke Oduwole, visited the $ 20 billion Dangote Petroleum Refinery &, Petrochemicals, and Dangote Fertiliser Limited in Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos, over the weekend to make the remarks.

Dangote praised President Tinubu’s efforts to address domestic refineries’ limited ability to produce crude oil and the Nigeria First policy as bold and innovative steps that can resurrect the economy.

“I think we must express our sincere gratitude to His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for ensuring improvements in the supply of crude oil. Particularly commendable is his insistance that all transactions involving crude oil be conducted in naira. It is crucial that crude is priced and purchased in our local currency, he said, in order for us to effectively meet market demand, which we have the capacity to do.

He expressed hope that the naira would continue to rise in the coming weeks as the effects of the reforms become more clearly visible, noting that these initiatives have, along with other economic reforms, contributed a certain degree to stability to the naira-dollar exchange rate.

He claims that investors now have confidence in the investment climate and that the improved market predictability has enabled them to make wise business decisions.

The naira-to-dollar exchange rate is beginning to stabilize, which is good news. The market is now more predictable because of the lower fluctuation.

This development, which enables us to plan more effectively, is welcomed by those in the business sector. We can anticipate a more favorable exchange rate as market conditions improve, he said.

Dangote also praised the Federal Government’s decision to establish a One-Stop Shop (OSS) initiative to improve coordination between regulatory and security organizations and facilitate smoother operations under the Naira-for-Crude program.

According to President Tinubu’s directive, he emphasized that the OSS had significantly lowered bottlenecks and allowed for real-time resolution of issues.

The One-Stop Shop is being run by His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. I have faith that the government will use this model, particularly to streamline the clearing of goods, which is a crucial business activity.

“We are not having any significant loading issues right now. The Navy, NIMASA, NPA, and other relevant organizations have all been combined under one roof. Efficiency has greatly improved as a result of this coordination. The Chairman of the Technical Committee, Mr. Zack Adedeji, who is doing a fantastic job, leads the charge when issues arise.

The refinery is also set to install 4, 000 compressed natural gas (CNG) tankers in an effort to distribute petroleum products more effectively and responsibly, according to the business magnate.

Heavy rains kill four in China as flood warnings issued in 11 provinces

According to state media reports, four people have died and eight others have been missing in northern Hebei province in northern China as a result of flood warnings issued by Beijing’s capital and at least 11 provinces.

According to state broadcaster CCTV, the landslide in a village close to Chengde city occurred “due to heavy rainfall.”

As the suburb of Miyun in Beijing remained strewn for the duration of the rain, causing flash floods and landslides that affected many villages, authorities moved more than 4,400 people, according to CCTV.

Images from China’s WeChat app showed residential buildings and areas of Miyun where cars and trucks were float on a flooded road. More than 10,000 residents of the area were also affected by electricity shortages, according to CCTV.

In recent years, Northern China has experienced record rainfall, which puts flood risk in densely populated cities, including Beijing. Some scientists believe that global warming is responsible for China’s typically dry north’s increased rainfall.

Over the next three days, heavy rainfall will continue to afflict northern China, according to the Central Meteorological Observatory. 11 provinces and regions have been issued with specific flood warnings by the water resources ministry.

According to the Xinhua news agency, Beijing issued its highest-level flood alert on Monday. The “severe” flooding in Hebei, which surrounds Beijing, was reportedly inspected by the national emergency management department.

Videos from state media in Shanxi Province showed crops and trees strewn over rivers and submerged in vegetation. Xian, the province’s historic city, also issued flash flood disaster risk warnings on Monday.

On July 27, 2025, Chinese police officers in Miyun, north of Beijing, remove the silt from the road.

The East Asian monsoon, which has affected China’s second-largest economy, has a wider pattern of extreme weather that covers the region.

According to Xinhua, China’s National Development and Reform Commission announced on Monday that it was urgently arranging 50 million yuan ($7 million) to support Hebei. The funds would be used to repair the disaster-prone roads, bridges, embankments for water conservancy, as well as for hospitals and schools.

In China, extreme weather conditions are common, especially in the summer, when some areas experience heavy rain and others are sweltering with heatwaves.
