According to police, a shooting in Bangkok, Thailand’s capital, resulted in the deaths of five people and the injuries of one.
According to the Royal Thai Police, the shooting took place on Monday at 12:31 PM (05:31 GMT) at Or Tor Kor Market in the Bang Sue district of northern Bangkok.
The suspected perpetrator committed suicide at the market, which all five of the deceased victims were, according to police, were security guards.
“Police are looking into the motive,” the statement read. According to Worapat Sukthai, deputy police chief in the Bang Sue district, “it’s a mass shooting right now,” he was cited as saying to the AFP news agency.
According to the official, the police are looking into “any possible link” to the ongoing border clashes between Thailand and Cambodia.
According to the Thai Public Broadcasting Service, the shooter was spotted on surveillance footage with a backpack hung over his chest and a black T-shirt, a cap, camouflage shorts, and a backpack.
In Thailand, compared to much of the rest of Southeast Asia, gun violence is still prevalent.
Lucy Bronze, the women’s football team from England, won the Euros on Sunday after beating Spain on penalties. The woman made history with the women’s team.

Lucy Bronze’s mum had no time for those who told her daughter she couldn’t play football like the boys. The inspiring Lioness, 33 – whose full name is Lucia Roberta Tough Bronze – made history with the women’s England football team on Sunday when they won the Euros again after beating Spain on penalties.
Lucy has loved playing football since she was little, but almost had her dreams dashed when her old football coach told her that she would have to leave the mixed team she was playing in for fear of injuring herself.
When Lucy was ten years old, her mother, Diane, purchased the resilient athlete with her first pair of football boots. The young Lioness also played football as the only girl on a team of boys during her final year of primary school.

However, the Chelsea star, who revealed she had a broken leg in the final yesterday, said her mother wouldn’t accept “no” for an answer after being told she would have to leave the team.
Speaking to the Guardian, she recalled Diane responding: “Right. No one is telling my little girl that she can’t do something!”
Lucy frequently posts photos of her adoring mother on Instagram, and last year she paid tribute with two adorable photos to her “number one fan since day one.”

In the shootout, Lucy scored a penalty after strapping up her own leg in the quarter-final victory over Sweden, keeping the English defense in top shape all the way through the knockout stages.
However, when asked how she felt following Sunday’s nail-biting final, Bronze paused and grinned before revealing: “I actually played the entire tournament with a fractured tibia, but no-one knew.
“And then I just hurt my other leg today by my knee.”
Because I’ve played a lot of games before, I think that’s why I received a lot of praise from the girls after the Sweden game. But I’ll do that if that’s what it takes to play for England.
Very agonizing.

The Lionesses also settled a personal score with Spain, who had previously defeated them in the World Cup final several years ago, making them the first country to retain the women’s Euros since Germany won six in a row from 1995 to 2013.
Sarina Weigman, England manager, praised Lucy, saying, “We tried to manage that because she had some issues with her tibia.” You’re not managing it when you play 120 minutes, are you? It’s amazing how she and the rest of the team have such great mentalities, but she also has crazy mentalities.

Rehan Ahmed, an England all-rounder, delivered a clear statement in his description of Leicestershire’s dominant County Championship victory against Derbyshire last week, when he took 13 wickets and made a century with the bat.
A Leicestershire player has not taken 12 wickets or more and recorded a ton in the same game since the Victorian era.
Fred Geeson was the last to accomplish it in 1901.
The once-in-a-125-year performance by 20-year-old Ahmed was a major example of the kind of cricketer he aspires to be.
His development in the game was compared to Steve Smith’s, who started out as an all-around batsman for Australia and quickly established himself as a world-beating batsman.
Ahmed’s response to his career-defining performance at Central Co-op County Ground was infused with confidence.
He declared to BBC Radio Leicestershire, “I want to be a proper leg-spinner and proper batsman, and nothing else can stop me.”
“This is probably the game of my life,” said one participant, “and it’s nice to know that your work is paying off.”
Before the Ashes series in Australia begins later this year, Ahmed sent a clear message to England selectors.
Ahmed last played for England in an October test match.
Ahmed put on a show from the beginning against Derbyshire, which earned him the title of “Star-med” by the end.
In Leicestershire’s first inning, he was one of three Foxes players to record a century, with Lewis Hill leading the way with 151 points and Peter Handscomb collecting 101, setting the Division Two leaders on course for the 189-run victory that has them edged toward promotion.
Ahmed scored 115 in the championship for the third time in a row.
He followed that up with a superb spin on day two, bowling the hosts out for 189 with a 6-51 from 20 overs.
After that, he quickly put on a quickfire 26 with the bat to give Leicestershire the lead in the match, before scoring a match-winning 93 to increase his bowling stats to an astonishing 13-144 from 60 overs.
It was a sizable haul in a top-of-the-table clash of regional rivals who are both up for promotion.
After the match, Muhammad said, “This week was my week, but it was also Pete’s week; he received a 100 and Lewis Hill received a massive 150.

After their shared history, Richard Ashcroft would never be questioned, according to Liam Gallagher, who stated it was unquestionable.

After embarking upon the biggest stadium tour of the year as special guest to Oasis, and selling out Manchester’s Co-op Live, Richard Ashcroft today announces additional UK dates due to overwhelming demand. Richard will perform at arenas in Cardiff, Liverpool, London and Leeds in Spring 2026, with tickets on sale at 9.30am on Friday 1st August.
The announcement comes in response to the announcement that his brand-new album Lovin’ You will be released on October 3rd, his first all-new album since 2018’s Natural Rebel, and is a follow-up to 2021’s Acoustic Hymns, Vol. 1.
Speaking on Radio 2 earlier this month Richard Ashcroft said: “The album’s due in September, just after I finish the dates with Oasis. That’ll be coming out in September, and yeah, happy days, we’ll see how it goes. I’m buzzing that I’m still here. I’m still making music, people pay me to make music, people pay me to sing live. It’s like I can’t complain.”
Ashcroft has won huge praise from fans after being picked to join Oasis on their huge sell-out Live 25 tour. Speaking after seeing the band play at Wembley Stadium, David Baddiel said the former Verve frontman gave the Gallaghers a run for their money when it came to entertaining the crowd. Noel has even been spotted watching Ashcroft’s sets before walking on stage himself.
“Oasis were fantastic tonight. However, Richard Ashcroft, who provided the “Scott Walker of Britpop,” nearly made them outlast them in the voiceover.

“Don’t think Richard has ever done a bad show,” replied one of his followers. “Magnificent,” agreed another, while a third said: “It’s the absolute dream lineup. Chris Martin said Richard Ashcroft had the best voice going around. Richard Ashcroft and Oasis playing in 2025. It’s what the world needs some GOOD THINGS! I can’t wait to see them in Australia. Magic. How special to be at Wembley. Brilliant.”
Another X user responded to Baddiel’s video of Ashcroft singing The Drug’s Don’t Work, saying, “This was a real moment in Manchester as well.” That song had a certain freshness or atmosphere in it. Although the Oasis music is excellent, there is a stronger nostalgia tinge to them.
Oasis and Richard Ashcroft have a mutual admiration that dates back to their initial collaboration while they were touring. Richard joins Cast as a special guest on all of their UK shows.
How can you follow Richard on tour this and next year:
According to BBC Scotland, Leanne Crichton, the current head coach of the Rangers, is in the running for the position.
Former Scotland international Jo Potter, who took over as manager of Crystal Palace last month, is expected to succeed in the Ibrox club’s positive discussions with her.
In both of Potter’s years as manager, the Ibrox side placed third in the SWPL last term, and won the domestic cup twice.
The midfielder has also won 72 senior international caps and has become a regular football correspondent for BBC Scotland’s programming.
