Glastonbury Festival’s secret act ‘revealed’ as fans spot huge clue just days before

The 1975, Neil Young, and Olivia Rodrigo are all scheduled to headline the Glastoonbury Festival this year, but there is still a mystery act on the bill.

Has Glastonbury Festival’s secret act accidentally been revealed? Music fans certainly think so. An American rock legend arriving in London just days ahead of things kicking off at Worthy Farm has people convinced the singer’s band is set to play the hush-hush set.

The iconic music festival is returning on Wednesday, with British pop band The 1975, folk star Neil Young and his band the Chrome Hearts, and US pop singer Olivia Rodrigo topping the bill.

Glastonbury is running from June 25 to June 29 this year with performances from the likes of US rapper Doechii, UK singer Raye and veteran rocker Sir Rod Stewart, who will be playing during the coveted legends slot. Also performing is Irish rap trio Kneecap, US star Gracie Abrams and alternative pop singer Charli XCX.

A mysterious act called Patchwork, who will take to the Pyramid Stage on Saturday, will be among the acts listed as TBA.

Organizer Emily Eavis recently stated, “I’ve been working on Patchwork for a long time, so I’m careful not to speculate about who the act might be.” She also acknowledged that, for “logistical” reasons, preparation for their appearance had taken about a year.

Fans are convinced Patchwork are in fact The Foo Fighters, thanks to Dave Grohl being spotted in London recently. The rocker, who last year announced he had become a father again after an extramarital affair, was seen backstage at the Yeah Yeah Yeahs gig at the Royal Albert Hall.

Grohl, who posed for a photo with American singer Amanda Palmer at the performance, is not a stranger to surprise Glastonbury sets. His band played their first major UK performance since Taylor Hawkins’ death in 2022 at the Somerset festival under the name The Churn Ups.

And Glastonbury fans are convinced a similar thing will be happening again this year. “Dave Grohl is in London, likely will be at the festival,” one Reddit user penned as the pictures of Grohl hit social media. “Has done bits with John Fogerty in the past and other acts. Surely will be popping up at places this year?”

One more phrase read, “100% he will be milling about; I’d say a few guest appearances are a safe bet.” Perhaps Neil Young or Alanis for an encore?

Emily Eavis, the festival’s organiser, reported earlier this month that Glastonbury Festival has sold “a few thousand less tickets” this year to prevent overcrowding.

Eavis, 45, described the changes made this year’s festival in an interview on the Sidetracked podcast, saying that Shangri-La’s music area is “going full trees and green space,” which is “completely the opposite of what they’ve done in the past.”

She also made it known that the festival will be able to purchase some land that will be used for crew members. It will be interesting to see how the dynamics on the site are affected by the fact that we also sold a few thousand less tickets.

Last November, the first group of tickets for the event sold out in less than 40 minutes, while the second lot did so in less than 40. According to Evans, “there were times when you just couldn’t sell out, you just couldn’t give them (the tickets) away.”

Also at the festival, presenters Annie Mac and Nick Grimshaw will take to the BBC Introducing stage on June 26 for a live episode of Sidetracked.

Thanks to the star’s online videos, which have received millions of views, her daily adventures are documented and shared.

At a Young Farmers’ Meeting, Harriet and her partner James first met a long time ago.

Harriet posted a video of James driving a tractor in a recent post on social media, giving the impression that he is four years her senior. She claimed in a previous post that the “belly effect” is crazy because we wouldn’t have met if I hadn’t joined Young Farmers.

The star continued, “YFC gave me my entire life, and I will forever be grateful for that.” Additionally, Harriet urged others to consider joining community organizations because she believed they would “meet the greatest people”

In the meantime, Harriet bid Jeremy her emotional farewells in the show when Kaleb arrived in Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire.

The presenter, who spent 25 years on Top Gear for two seasons, said, “You saved my life. Can we call you if we become stuck once more? “

US Supreme Court declines to speed up decision to take up fight over tariff

Even before lower courts have rendered their decisions, the US Supreme Court has decided not to move quickly into considering whether to challenge President Donald Trump’s massive tariffs.

A family-owned toy company, Learning Resources, requested on Friday that the Supreme Court expedite the review of the dispute by the country’s top judicial body.

The manufacturer, which produces educational toys, won a court case on May 29 that Trump can’t unilaterally impose tariffs using his claimed emergency authority. The tariffs are currently in place, with that decision currently being put on hold.

Learning Resources &nbsp requested that the Supreme Court decide the tariffs’ legality right away, effectively overriding the District of Columbia Circuit’s District of Columbia Circuit in Washington, where the case is pending.

NBA star Durant becomes minority owner of PSG

Kevin Durant, the two-time NBA champion, has purchased Paris St-Germain, the champion of the Champions League.

The Phoenix Suns forward will provide expertise during PSG’s planned basketball expansion under the terms of a strategic partnership agreement with Qatar Sports Investments (QSI), the majority owner of the French club.

The four-time Olympic gold medalist said, “It is an honor to partner with QSI and to be a shareholder of PSG, a club, and a city that is incredibly close to my heart.”

“This club has big plans,” said the club’s president, “and I look forward to being a part of QSI’s next growth phase and looking into potential new investment opportunities.”

QSI expressed interest earlier this year in becoming a franchise owners of a basketball team in Europe, which the NBA and Fiba, the sport’s international governing body, have proposed.

The NBA star will “support the club on its continued sports and business diversification and growth,” according to PSG, who announced that they would work with Durant’s media and investment firm Boardroom on a number of “commercial, investment, and content initiatives.”

Durant had previously made an initial investment in the 13-time French champions through the club’s minority shareholder Arctos Partners, but he has since made a direct investment.

Durant, who won two NBA titles with the Golden State Warriors and won gold with the United States in the 2024 Paris Olympics, recently made the Forbes list of the highest-paid athletes in 2025.

‘A huge step’ – Draper reaches first Queen’s semi-final

Images courtesy of Getty

With a grueling three-set victory over American Brandon Nakashima, Jack Draper’s first Queen’s semi-final achievement lived up to his childhood dream.

With the 6-4, 5-7, and 6-4 victory, Draper will not face defending champion Carlos Alcaraz or world number one Jannik Sinner until the semi-final stage, which would leave him without a chance to face the top-four seed in the Wimbledon draw next week.

On a hot day in west London, Draper, who had a tough three-set defeat to Alexei Popyrin in the previous round while ill, found himself facing Nakashima in another exhausting encounter.

After taking control of the first set with an early break, Nakashima raised his level to make the encounter a decider and made it a decider.

In the seventh game of the third set, Draper made the crucial breakthrough by turning in his powerful forehand to break down British No. 2 Jacob Fearnley 7-5, 6-2, before winning in the semi-final.

The 23-year-old revealed after the match that he had held the Queen’s trophy as a child when it was a child and will now hope to do so once more this weekend.

According to Draper, “I’ve wanted it since I was a young child.”

“I do have photos of the trophy when I was exactly ten,” I recall on my phone.

I’ve always watched it alongside Wimbledon, which is what it has always been.

“Having Andy Murray win here many years on the trot or whenever he did, just gave it a little more special feeling,” I said.

Draper is attempting to become the first British singles champion at Queen’s since Murray, who won five times in 2016 with his most recent victory.

After beating France’s Arthur Rinderknech 7-5,6-4, he might face top seed Carlos Alcaraz in the final.

Draper is looking forward to his return to the top four.

With an early break, Draper had a flawless start against Nakashima, but his rest of the day was uneventful.

But because he has become more effective in a year that has resulted in him placing fourth in the world, he still manages to show off his best tennis in the most challenging situations.

Draper showed he isn’t afraid to take risks, and this self-assurance is paying off here, from the second-serve ace that broke off to a brave drop shot at 15-40.

After falling to world number 32 Nakashima for the third set with a stunning forehand winner, Draper improved on his errors in the third and broke serve in the seventh game, which has become a hallmark of his game.

He had anticipated sealing the game with a backhand, but the crowd’s cheers drowned out the automatic line call of “out.”

In the final game, he delivered a 14th ace after serving for the match at 5-4 and was forced to save a break point during that period.

After reaching the semi-finals at Eastbourne in 2022, Draper will now only play his second last-four game on home soil.

His preparations for Wimbledon, which begins on June 30th, will benefit him because he will be considered the great home hope in the grass-court Grand Slam. His top-four seeding is a plus.

Draper continued, “It’s a definite huge step for me.”

“I can recall a year ago when I placed somewhere between 30 and 40. That’s significant progress, especially to be in the top four at Wimbledon in a year.

I “live and breathe the sport,” and I’m driven to constantly improve and excel in order to be the player I always want to be.

After the last-16 epic, Alcaraz advances more quickly.

Alcaraz returned to the court less than 24 hours after his epic last-16 fight with compatriot Jaume Munar, which was the longest game at Queen’s in 34 years, lasting three hours and 26 minutes.

When he faced Rinderknech in a close first set, the impact of that initially became apparent.

In his first match, Frenchman Rinderknech overcame his defeat in qualifying and won over American Ben Shelton.

Although he certainly served well and had a no-lose attitude, Alcaraz was always up against it as the match progressed, and the former world no. 1 strengthened as the match progressed.

Alcaraz, who is aiming for another title from Queen’s to complete his 2023 victory before attempting to win a third successive Wimbledon title, said, “I am feeling great playing on grass.”

Fearnley’s run is ended.

After putting in a strong performance against Corentin Moutet, France’s qualifier, on Thursday, Fearnley had been playing in his first final-eight match of the ATP Tour event.

Lehecka, a 23-year-old Czech, turned down the opportunity to become world number 30.

Fearnley’s first break of the match had a promising start, but the world no. 60 immediately gave up after three double faults.

Lehecka broke the double break to take the set 6-5 before serving the set, which cost him even more in the end.

Sex and the City icon Cynthia Nixon reveals her Jewish son is on hunger strike for Gaza

Seph Mozes, the 28-year-old son of Sex and the City actress Cynthia Nixon, is leading a hunger strike in support of Palestine to demand that the US stop arming Israel.

Seph Mozes, son of Sex and the City actress Cynthia Nixon, is on a hunger strike in solidarity with Palestine. Mozes, who is Jewish, is taking part in the strike as part of his advocacy with Jewish Voices For Peace (JVP), which is calling for an end to America’s arming of Israel.

Before revealing that her 28-year-old son “does not have illusions that he’s going to end the war, but I think he wants to do everything he can,” Nixon, a prominent activist, described her son as “a quite observant Jew” who is “very steeped in Jewish Voices for Peace.”

JVP describes itself as the “world’s largest Jewish organisation standing in solidarity with Palestine” and currently has over 765,403 members.

The grassroots organization states on its website that it “we envision a world where all people, from the U.S. to Palestine, coexist peacefully and justly.” We fight for the liberation of all people, just like previous generations of Jewish leftists.

Nixon, who is not Jewish herself, shared that her son’s support for Palestine was partially fueled by his paternal grandparents being Holocaust survivors during a discussion on Wednesday at Newsweek’s Manhattan office.

The actress and activist, best known for playing Miranda Hobbes in Sex and the City and its reboot And Just Like That, revealed: “He and five other of his compatriots are doing a hunger strike in Chicago [since] Monday, for Gaza. ‘Stop starving Gaza, stop arming Israel’.”

His grandparents were Holocaust survivors, and his son feels like he can’t stand by and not do everything he can, according to Nixon, 59.

In November of that year, the actress called on Joe Biden, the then-US President, to support a ceasefire between Israel and Palestine, and she took a hunger strike herself.

Nixon once said to a crowd outside the White House, “As the mother of Jewish children whose grandparents are Holocaust survivors, I have been asked by my son to use any voice I can to loudly affirm that “never again” means “never again for everyone.”

In just seven weeks, Israel has killed more civilians in one small area of Afghanistan than it has in the previous 20 years of hostilities.

People constantly repeating that civilian casualties are a regular part of war, “I get sick of it.” These figures don’t have any routine features. These deaths don’t have anything routine about them.

Nixon appealed deeply to Biden, saying that his own tragic experiences should increase his empathy for the Palestinian death toll.

She implored the president to connect with his empathy for the victims of his own terrible personal loss and to look at the children of Gaza and think they were his children.
