Vick Hope’s BBC Radio 1 replacement revealed as Jamie Laing’s wife lands role

Sophie Habboo, Jamie Laing’s wife, will take Vick Hope’s place on BBC Radio 1 as it has been announced.

The 35-year-old radio DJ is taking maternity leave from the station after expecting her first child with her husband Calvin Harris.

Jamie revealed the news on his Instagram account on Thursday morning, saying: “I’m so excited to be joining the Radio 1 family. We’re the first married couple to do it together; I’m not sure if that’s a good or a bad thing. Hopefully we don’t argue on the Radio!” Catch you on Monday and get ready for the chaos.

From June 2 through June 18, Sophie will join Jamie’s other co-presenter Katie Thistleton on maternity leave on Going Home, which runs from Monday to Thursday between 3.30pm and 6pm.

Sophie, who gained notoriety on Made in Chelsea’s reality television series, said: “I’m thrilled to finally announce that I’ll be joining the Radio 1 family for the foreseeable future.”

I’ve always enjoyed how radio makes connections between different regions in real time, and I’m honored to be playing Vick’s role as she begins her exciting new chapter.

I’m eager to connect with new people, engage in some great conversations, and hopefully make some friends along the way because everyone who knows me knows that I’m no stranger to talking to the mic for hours.

I’ll also be presenting a little Radio 1 history alongside my husband, Jamie Laing, which is probably not the best way to go about it. Catch you on the air.

The pair previously hosted NewlyWeds podcast and red carpet events like the Brit Awards together, making them the first married couple to do so on Radio 1.

Hailey Bieber sells beauty brand Rhode for $1billion just 3 years after launch

Hailey Bieber will continue to serve as the chief creative officer while selling her beauty brand Rhode to e. f. Beauty in a massive $1 billion deal.

The acquisition deal is expected to close in 2026 pending approvals(Image: haileybieber/Instagram)

Hailey Bieber is selling her beauty and skincare brand Rhode to e.l.f. Beauty in a deal worth up to $1billion (£740million). Announced on Wednesday, May 28, the acquisition marks one of the most high-profile beauty deals in recent years, according to Vogue Business.

In a press release announcing the acquisition, e.l.f. Beauty shared the deal includes $800 million in cash and stock at closing, plus a “potential earnout consideration of $200 million based on the future growth of the brand” over three years. The deal is expected to close in the second fiscal quarter of 2026, pending approvals.

Bieber’s role as founder will remain as she grows in her capacity as Rhode’s chief creative officer and head of innovation, overseeing creative, product innovation, and marketing. She will also serve as a new strategic advisor to the combined businesses.

Bieber confirms that she has been looking for the ideal partner for her heirloom brand in an interview with Vogue Business. Finding a home for Rhode was a very scary endeavor, but when I met the Elf Beauty team, I could tell they had a strong sense of community, which made me feel good about the Rhode community.

Bieber praised e. l. f.’s disruptive approach to the beauty industry. She told Vogue, “Elf Beauty’s partnership offering was different than I could have gone to a table of suits (referring to brand suitors). According to E. l. f. Chairman and CEO, Tarang Amin found a “like-minded disruptor in Rhode.”

E. l. f. Beauty has long been regarded as a “dupe” brand but has gained a strong foothold in the beauty sector thanks to its consistent high quality and consistent low rollout of innovative products. According to Business of Fashion, E. l. f.’s sales have increased for 25 consecutive quarters.

Due in large part to its high-tech yet affordable skincare formulas and Bieber’s consistent online promotion, Rhode has grown quickly since its founding in 2022. The company generated $ 212 million (£157 million) in net sales from a limited number of products in its most recent fiscal year that ended in March 2025.

Rhode’s success stands as a marked success in the landscape of failed celebrity beauty brands. News of the acquisition also comes after Rhode’s recent announcement that it will launch in Sephora UK by the end of the year and in Sephora Canada and US as early as the fall.

The news comes in addition to Rhode’s recent March launch of new pocket blushes. The Mirror’s beauty team and customers raved about Rose’s pocket blushes when they were released last year.

H&M shoppers love a “gorgeous” £35 bikini set for summer that would look great with a tan, according to shoppers. Customers loved the £19.99 Starfish-detail padded bandeau bikini top and the £14.99 Starfish-detail Brazilian bikini bottoms when the swimwear went viral on social media.

Showcasing the set on Instagram, @Galslovehighstreet wrote: “My jaw hit the floor when I spotted this bikini in @hm!! GORGEOUS!” Both the bandeau bikini top and the Brazilian bikini bottoms are cream in colour, with gold-toned metal starfish detailing.

The items are sold separately. Both the top and bottoms are available in sizes XS to XL. However, not all sizes are in stock online. The bikini top is described as a “lined bandeau bikini top with a starfish-shaped metal detail at the centre of the bust and cups with removable inserts that shape the bust and provide good support.”

It has a metal fastening and detachable shoulder straps. A “starfish-shaped metal detail at one side,” a “high, curved waist, and a high cut at the back” are said to be the “full lined” bikini bottoms.

The design wowed shoppers online. @Galslovehighstreet’s video showcasing the bikini received over 100,000 views. It also gained lots of comments from excited viewers who are keen to shop the style.

Hailey Bieber’s incredible net worth as she closes $1bn Rhode deal with e.l.f. Beauty

E. L. f Beauty has just purchased Hailey Bieber’s beauty empire Rhode for a staggering $1 billion, which she can now add to her already staggering net worth.

Hailey Bieber has done pretty well for herself despite marrying one of the world’s richest pop stars. The beauty mogul has just completed a £1 billion (£750 million) deal with Rhode Cosmetics, which adds to her staggering $ 15 million ($20 million) net worth.

The deal comes as e. f. Beauty sold her popular it-girl makeup line, which includes products for women’s skin like blush and lip tints. Since its launch in 2022, Rhode has grown rapidly thanks to a 100, 000-strong waiting list, and, according to Vogue Business, she has managed to sell 36 units of the brand’s hit product “glazing fluid” every second during past restocks.

The viral products reportedly contributed to more than $200 million in net sales over the previous year. The deal marked the “next chapter,” according to Hailey, who will remain as the company’s chief creative officer.

She said, “Our partnership with e. f. Beauty provides an incredible opportunity to advance and expand our reach with even more creative products and expand our distribution globally.”

In addition to being the Rhode founder, Hailey is also a well-known model and wife of Justin Bieber, and the couple tied the knot in 2018. They are also parents to their son Jack Blues Bieber – but tend to keep him out of the spotlight.

In 2014, Hailey began modeling for Topshop and Sonia Rykiel’s runways before appearing in a number of campaigns for well-known brands like Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, and Levi’s. The actress also appeared on the covers of numerous magazines, including Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, and Vogue.

Her father, Stephen Baldwin, an American actor, director, and producer, has a history of incendiary behavior. Brazilian graphic designer Kennaya Baldwin is her mother. Alec Baldwin, her uncle, is an American actor as well.

Hailey has reportedly made the decision to keep her son away from her parents after their relationship deteriorated when she fell pregnant. Since getting married, Justin and Hailey’s combined net worth is said to be around $300 million, with an annual income of nearly $80 million thanks to Justin’s success.

The Canadian singer is still one of the wealthiest musicians in history despite having semi-retired from the music industry and having made a huge fortune through his music and other endeavors. Jack, the couple’s son, is also expected to be one of the world’s richest newborns as a result of their combined wealth.

After Justin announced his arrival with a sweet snap of his foot on social media and the captioned the image: “Welcome home Jack Blues Bieber,” Hailey gave birth to Jack in August.

Hailey’s father congratulated her on social media following the birth. Pattie Mallette, 49, and Stephen, who has been married to Kennya Deodato since 1990, joined forces to welcome Justin’s first child. Pattie remarked on X: “CONGRATULATIONS @Justinbieber and Hailey. In a few moments, Stephen responded, “I LOVE YOU FOREVER BABY JACK” with the phrase “Amen, Congratulations to you and may God continue to bless our family.”

But now, it has been said that Hailey is choosing to keep her parents away from Jack after their relationship broke down when she fell pregnant. An insider said their relationship got worse when her dad asked fans to pray for Hailey and Justin on social media.

When you think of Justin and his wife Hailey, Victor Marx shared a video of the Justing singer with him, and it read, “Christians, take a moment to pray for them to have wisdom, protection, and draw close to the Lord.”

When Hailey and Justin’s father asked for prayers for them, the woman told the source that she had a “blowout” with her family and that she didn’t want him to be a part of her life. The insider claimed that Stephen had made the introduction and that she wouldn’t have known the singer.

Hailey expressed no dissatisfaction with this at all, according to them. Hailey recently revealed that she is no longer as “super close” to her well-known relatives. Hailey addressed her feelings of isolation in an interview with W Magazine, blaming her own very independent “nature” for it.

Thunder-Timberwolves: OKC defeat Minnesota in Game 5 to reach NBA Finals

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander celebrated by spreading his arms wide before the basket went in.

Cason Wallace waited patiently for the ball to pass through the basket while keeping his right arm high in the air.

Soon enough, it followed inevitably.

The Oklahoma City Thunder’s dominant opening period, which ended Game 5 of the Western Conference finals on Wednesday, was sealed with Wallace’s corner 3-pointer at the buzzer.

The Thunder’s best-of-seven series was concluded by Gilgeous-Alexander, who finished with 34 points, eight assists, and seven rebounds.

According to Gilgeous-Alexander, “I didn’t want to travel back to Minnesota and I wanted the fans to enjoy the moment with us.”

For the fifth time in franchise history, the Thunder are making the NBA Finals. This is their first appearance since 2012. When the Seattle-based organization made its first three appearances,

On June 5, Oklahoma City will host Game 1 of the championship game between the New York Knicks and the Indiana Pacers.

Although Gilgeous-Alexander said, “Happy for this moment, but this isn’t our goal.” The road is still being traveled.

The Thunder’s early dominance of the game was evident on Wednesday, with Gilgeous-Alexander, Jalen Williams, and Chet Holmgren buried the Timberwolves beneath the weight of a stifling defense and playmaking.

Oklahoma City quickly won the game, leading by 17 in the first quarter and by 33 at half.

The Timberwolves’ season came to an end in the Western Conference finals for the second year in a row.

This summer, Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards said, “I’m going to work my butt off.” No one will put in that much work for me this summer, I’ll say it.

In the opening quarter, Gilgeous-Alexander, who once more demonstrated why he was chosen as the NBA’s Most Valuable Player (MVP), provided five of his assists.

The Timberwolves’ first hoop came on the first possession the Timberwolves had, and Gilgeous-Alexander had a hand in each of the five Oklahoma City baskets in the 11-0 run that started the Thunder’s march toward the championship.

Gilgeous-Alexander drained a finger roll to start the separation in that stretch, adding four assists, three of which came from Holmgren buckets.

The Timberwolves kicked off Game 4 hot off the field on Monday, but the game ended 128-126.

Minnesota started off offence-wise, going just 1-for-11 from the field in the first five minutes.

In the first half, Gilgeous-Alexander scored or provided 24 of the Thunder’s 26 first-quarter points, outscoring Minnesota 12-9.

In the first half, Minnesota forced 14 turnovers, compared to field goals’ (12). With 21 turnovers, the Timberwolves came in.

Williams added 19 points, eight rebounds, and five assists while Holmgren added 22 and seven.

“These guys really make me feel like I’m playing AAU basketball like I’m back in my 15th year,” Gilgeous-Alexander said. It’s simply enjoyable. That is what makes us exceptional. Being out together is a lot of fun.

Edwards scored 19 points on 7-of-18 shooting, while Julius Randle had 24 for the Timberwolves.

According to Edwards, “they dominated the game from the beginning.” “Tip my hat to those guys, I can’t help but.” They prepared themselves.

Players’ club successes can help NI careers – Davis

Steven Davis, head coach of the Northern Ireland first team, believes that Michael O’Neill’s squad’s recent successes at the club level should encourage their development abroad.

In recent weeks, a number of players participated in important events for their teams in preparation for Denmark’s upcoming friendlies on June 7 and Iceland’s upcoming home games on June 10.

From the Irish FA’s coach education course in Belfast, Davis explained, “You just have to look at some of the individual seasons the players have had,” Davis explained to BBC Sport NI. “Obviously, Conor]Bradley] won the Premier League with Liverpool [with Chelsea], Justin Devenny won the FA Cup with Crystal Palace [with] and Trai Hume and Dan Ballard were promoted to the Premier League with Sunderland.

The players need to continue to advance at their clubs, according to the coach, and that’s what they’re doing. They just need to do so.

If that’s the case, they will ultimately be better positioned to fit into the international order.

The 140-time world champion international remarked that the group had experienced “a lot of progress over the past 12 or 18 months,” with a slew of encouraging results and the team leading their Nations League group.

The upcoming friendly double-header serves as a prelude to World Cup qualifying starting in September.

Because of how limited time you can spend with the players in international football, these games are crucial because they help you maximize that time, reinforce your ideas, and add layers to them whenever you do.

“We will be tested as well by the intensity of the opposition in the two games.”

“Seeing an O’Neill’s side in a different way”

NI manager Michael O'Neill with Steven DavisPresseye

Davis claims that O’Neill’s backroom team is a good place to work.

He is demanding, which you must be. He is very thorough. He said, “I thought that as a player as well.”

As members of the coaching staff, it’s obvious that you can see a small portion of a different side, and we spend a lot of time analyzing problems together.

He’s a great coach, and he’s very open to our thoughts as coaches. You can express your views, but he ultimately decides the matters.

The former Rangers midfielder claims he has ambitions to become a manager while pursuing his Uefa Pro Licence.

You only learn [coaching ability] by gaining experience and being inside and around it. That’s the best learning curve, which includes both time spent on the grass and real-world scenarios. That is how you develop.
