Denise Van Outen reveals ‘best way to meet a man’ after heartbreaking divorce

ExCLUSIVE: Denise Van Outen, a singer and TV host, claimed she started golf after her divorce because she wanted to meet “lots of men” and that the majority of her male friends had joined her.

Denise Van Outen is looking for a man in novel ways.

Denise Van Outen says she teed up the best way to find a new man – by taking up golf. The presenter and singer reveals she first took a punt on putting to bag a date. After divorcing, Denise saw it as a better option compared to dating sites and boozy nights out.

According to Denise, “I wanted to go somewhere where there are just loads of men,” was the reason I got into it. “I just went, “Where can I go?” – I can recall spending time with my friend.

“Because when you’re young, you just go to a nightclub. And I was like ‘I’m not going to be able to do that now, and I just don’t want to spend all night in the nightclub’. I was like ‘Where have all the nightclubbers gone?’ And I looked, and most of my male friends have grown up and got into golf. I thought ‘Perfect’.” Former Strictly runner-up, Denise, 51, also now a successful DJ, divorced Any Dream Will Do winner Lee Mead, with whom she has daughter Betsy, ten years ago.

She is now reported to have a new businessman partner, Adam Butler, who joined her on holiday in the Maldives last month. She previously dated trader Eddie Boxshall and Italian property businessman Jimmy Barber, whom she split from in November last year after 18 months together.

After being told her idea would stoke a wave of women heading for the golf course, she has since stayed passionate about golf and is now interested in seeing more women pursue it. We need more women playing golf, she said, and that finding a new passion in later life is good.

I’ve taken that on trips and visited some lovely places. I spend a lot of my holidays playing golf or DJing. I’m able to play. I have ball-like ability.

She claimed that Barbados, where players are constantly being served cocktails by staff on buggies, is the “most fun” course she has ever taken. When asked how that affects her performance, she responded, “It typically gets better and then it really starts to go downhill quite quickly.”

Following her split from Jimmy, Denise told the Mirror: “This summer has probably been the most sort of hedonistic summer I’ve had since the 90s. I’ve had a lot of fun a lot of going out lot of drinking rosé wine in the summer and enjoying myself. But I’m good at knowing when to stop.”

She previously opened up on how she was exploring new romantic possibilities after joining the celebrity dating app Raya. Denise said: “I did connect with one massive Hollywood star. We had a little bit of the chat, but I don’t live in LA, so I thought, he’s not going to come to Chelmsford.

” I loved it]Raya]. I’ve made some friends. I go on dates. Not an angel, I am. I’m having fun on the go. Denise isn’t ready to start dating again after hearing about her pals’ experiences.

She said, “I’m all moaning anyway, my friends in these long-term relationships.” They constantly argue and claim they don’t have sex. When their other half is asleep in bed at night, they make an effort to snuck in.

I’m happier now than I used to because I’m content with myself, Denise continued. You hear about people developing illnesses as we get older.

When she was a young woman, I lost her. It made me realize that recognizing that you are still here and able to enjoy yourself and perform certain tasks is more important.

On the final day of the German city of Leipzig, the European Artistic Gymnastics Championships, Briton Jake Jarman won a silver medal in the men’s vault.

The 23-year-old won European vault gold in 2022 and 2024, but his second vault was less precise and averaged 11.733.

With a score of 14. 799, Armenia’s Artur Davtyan clinched the gold medal, while Ukraine’s Nazar Chepurnyi won with a 14. 593.

I’m more frustrated at myself, according to Jarman, “with mixed emotions.”

“I had a great first vault, but I was so anxious that I had to do my second vault.” I’m really happy, overall.

Jarman’s first vault score was 15.2, marking the first time a male competitor had over 15 on the apparatus at these championships.

However, he was let down by the second vault’s execution, which led to a 14.266 score and a lower average.

Iran increases stockpile of enriched Uranium by 50 percent, IAEA says

Iran’s stockpile of highly enriched, near-waffen-grade uranium has increased by 50% in the last three months, according to the UN nuclear watchdog.

The United States and Iran are currently negotiating a nuclear deal, according to the report released by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on Saturday, with Tehran insisting that its nuclear program is only for peaceful purposes.

Iran, the only non-nuclear weapon state, had accumulated 408.6 kg (900.8 pounds) of uranium as of May 17 according to the IAEA, and had increased by almost 50% to 133.8 kg since its last report in February.

Tehran was advised to change its course in a broad-based, secretive report spotted by several news organizations that claimed Iran engaged in secret nuclear activities at three locations that have long been the subject of an investigation.

Abbas Araghchi, the country’s foreign minister, said Tehran deems nuclear weapons “unacceptable.” He later reiterated the country’s longstanding position.

In a televised speech, Araghchi, Iran’s lead negotiator in the nuclear negotiations with the US, said, “Yes, we too consider this type of weapon unacceptable.” On this point, “We concur with them.”

“Both sides building leverage”

The 35-nation board of governors of the IAEA requested the report in November, which will allow the US, Britain, France, and Germany to press for an international declaration that Iran is in violation of its non-proliferation obligations.

Donald Trump, the president of the United States, stated on Friday that Iran “cannot have nuclear weapons.”

They oppose being blown up. Trump continued, “It would be great that we could have a deal without bombs being dropped all over the Middle East,” adding that they would prefer to make a deal.

The Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action was reached by Iran with the United Kingdom, the US, Germany, France, Russia, China, and the European Union in 2015. Tehran was subject to sanctions that were lifted in exchange for restrictions on its nuclear development program.

However, US President Trump renounced the deal and reinstituted severe sanctions in 2018. Then, Tehran rebuilt its enriched uranium stockpiles.

Iran’s uranium was rapidly increased to 60 percent purity, according to the IAEA in December of last year, making the 90 percent mark for weapons-grade material more likely.

Iran insists it is not developing weapons, despite the claims that Western countries oppose such extensive enrichment.

Iranian professor of political science Hamed Mousavi claimed that the IAEA’s findings could provide an opportunity for Iran to negotiate while its ongoing nuclear negotiations with the US are ongoing.

“I believe that each side is attempting to use leverage against the opposing side.” A breakthrough in Iran’s nuclear program will give them more leverage in the negotiations with the Americans, he said.

He added that the US might impose additional sanctions and may refer the Iran case to the UN Security Council because it violated the non-proliferation agreement in 2006, among other things. He continued, adding that Iran has not yet “made the political decision” to build a potential bomb.

Manchester United have been named the world’s second most valuable football club behind only Real Madrid despite their recent struggles on the pitch.

Forbes’ annual list of the world’s most valuable football teams ranks United second with a value of $6. 6bn (£4. 9bn), and a revenue of $834m (£620m) in the 2023-24 season.

According to Forbes, United’s value increased by 1% despite finishing eighth in the Premier League table in 23-24 and failing to qualify for the Uefa Champions League.

Ruben Amorim’s side will not play European football next season as a result.

Despite on-pitch struggles, debts of £1bn and losses of £113. 2m reported in 23-24, United continue to benefit from having one of the strongest brands in all of sport.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe initiated cost-saving measures after he became a minority owner of the club last year.

Last summer, around 250 staff were made redundant, saving the club an estimated £8m-£10m. A further 200 staff could lose their jobs this summer.

In March, United revealed plans for a new £2bn stadium on the site of Old Trafford.

Real top the rankings with a value of $6. 75bn and revenue of $1. 129bn, while Barcelona are third.

Manchester City boasted the second largest revenue in 23-24 ($901m), but are fifth in terms of total value ($5. 3bn), a 4% rise on the previous year.

Liverpool are the fourth most valuable football club in the world with a value of $5. 4bn) and a revenue of $773m in 23-24.

Forbes’ team valuations are enterprise values (equity plus net debt) based on historical transactions and the future economics of each league and each team.

Revenue and operating income – such as earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization – reflect the 23-24 campaign.

The team values include the economics of each team’s stadium but not the value of the stadium real estate itself.

Debt is measured in terms of interest-bearing borrowings due in more than one year (including stadium debt).
