Meghan Markle sends emails to Archie and Lilibet “almost every night”.

The Duchess of Sussex revealed her bedtime ritual in a podcast this week, informing fans she includes “random pictures” and snippets of the kids’ life on the given day in the emails. Having got the idea from one of her friends, who is also a mother, Meghan hopes the emails will form a “virtual scrapbook” for Archie, five, and three-year-old Lilibet to look at in the future.

“At some point in their life, I’ll say ‘Here’s an email that I’ve been keeping for you your whole life. Here’s everything and every moment where I wanted to tell you how much I love you and how proud I am of you,'” Meghan, the former actress, said in The Jamie Kern Lima Show podcast.

“For them to be able to look back and go, ‘Oh my gosh, she has loved us so much!’ That’s, I think, the best part about being a mum. It’s not about the grandeur of a gesture, it’s about ‘I see you.'”

The Duchess of Sussex, 43, gave examples of the photos and details she includes in the communication, such as a picture of her children at breakfast or references to something funny they did that day.

And fans have responded with comments online, expressing how “sweet” and “lovely” they feel the habit is. The trend of virtual scrapbooking, and in particular saving images by emailing them, is popular among parents, although it is not necessarily always done at bedtime.

One parent wrote: “That is such a lovely and kind thing to do. Brilliant.” Another posted on social media: “I think it is a sweet bedtime habit, and no doubt the kids will love the scrapbook.”

Moved to tears in the podcast, Meghan continued: “I’m just so proud of them (Archie and Lilibet). They’re just so great.” She then quipped she was fortunate not to be wearing makeup – as tears fell down her face during the interview.

The chat comes after the Duchess of Sussex took to social media on Sunday to reveal that she was spending quality time with her family as they soaked up the Californian sunshine. The Duchess and her husband, Prince Harry have given fans few glimpses of their two children since they stepped down as senior working royals in January 2020 and have gone on to live a financially independent life in California. In recent years, they have only shared obscured glimpses of their children or pictures taken from behind.

Trump marks tumultuous first 100 days in office with rally in Michigan

As he celebrated his first 100 days in office with a rally in the city of Michigan, President Donald Trump has pledged to restore jobs to the country.

As Trump pursues norm-busting trade, immigration, and government overhauls, the White House made the remarks on Tuesday, which were dubbed an “accomplissement speech.”

Trump praised what he described as “the most successful first 100 days of any administration in our country’s history.”

He continued, “And that’s according to many, many people.” Everyone is claiming that “we’ve only just begun.”

More than an hour later, the president spoke to the audience as he entered the stage to sing “God Bless the USA” by Lee Greenwood.

He said his administration was “ending illegal immigration,” “taking back our jobs,” “restoring the rule of law,” and getting what he called “woke lunacy and transgender insanity the hell out of our government” while standing in front of a banner read “The Golden Age.”

He also made threats against former US presidents Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, continued his years-long criticism of the media, and falsely claimed that Democrats attempted to “rig” the 2024 election.

Trump then abandoned his tariff plan, which has stifled global markets and caused unease among industry leaders.

In response to US automakers’ protests, Trump signed an executive order hours earlier to ease some tariff restrictions. The order would stop Trump’s various tariffs on imported auto parts for American-made vehicles from “stacking.”

His administration has implemented 25% tariffs on almost all of its trade partners, 25% on steel and aluminum, and 25% on trade with Mexico and Canada that are not covered by a prior agreement.

Trump repeatedly claimed in his Michigan speech that the moves are part of a “hard reset” that will bring industries back to the US.

They all want to re-enter Michigan and begin producing cars, he said. You understand why, then. due to our tax and tariff policy.

Significant about Michigan

Patty Culhane, a journalist for Al Jazeera, described the location as significant. Trump won the election of Michigan last year, but his state, which relies heavily on the auto industry, may face one of the biggest blows from his tariff policy.

We are 32 kilometers [about 20 miles] from Detroit, Michigan, where we are. The “Big Three” automakers, which are General Motors, Ford, and Stellantis, are located there, according to Culhane.

“We’ve seen automakers really speak out against these tariffs,” she said, noting that Donald Trump wants to see virtually no car made entirely in the US.

“Many T-shirts in the crowd feature the word “UAW,” the United Auto Workers union. Because they believe that these tariffs will eventually force businesses to re-enter the US, the union voted against them.

Recent polls have revealed that Trump’s supporters’ enthusiasm for the Michigan rally does not reflect the general public, with nearly every major pollster finding that the president has recently received more negative feedback than positive feedback.

These included separate Morning Consult and New York Times/Siena polls that revealed 54 percent of respondents’ disapproval, a Marist College poll that revealed 53 percent, and an Ipsos poll that revealed 55 percent.

Trump referred to the polls as “fake” and “run by a bunch of crooks.”

The Conference Board, a website that monitors consumer opinions on the US economy, released new data hours earlier on Tuesday that showed the US economy is struggling.

At the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, confidence dropped by 7.9 points to 86 in April as a result of Trump’s tariff rollout, which was the lowest level since May 2020.

Trump told his supporters that officials were “coming from all over the world to see your president,” even though no new trade agreements have been reached since the country-specific tariffs were announced and then paused.

He claimed that they were trying to reach a deal.

Trump also criticized Jerome Powell, the head of the Federal Reserve, for failing to do a good job.

He opposed congressional proposals to lower taxes, which nonpartisan budget experts claimed would add trillions to the country’s $ 36. 00 trillion debt.

Trump declared that there will be the biggest tax cuts in American history in the coming weeks and months, including no tax on tips, no on Social Security, and no overtime.

Reverse yourself

Democrats, on the Senate floor on Tuesday night, criticized Trump’s presidency under the counter-programming slogan “100 days of chaos,” with more speeches anticipated to last well into the night.

Senate Republicans were referred to as “co-conspirators” who secretly oppose Trump’s agenda but refuse to express their full opposition.

The president is testing and violating our Constitution, destroying our image abroad, and gaining power for himself as the economy falters, the chamber’s No 2 Democrat, Senator Richard Durbin of Illinois, said.

“The Republican-controlled legislative branch seems to have lost all ambition as Donald Trump’s administration becomes too inflexible,” he writes. “In fact, the lambs’ silence is what drives the conversation.”

Aside from the community college where Trump’s rally was held, there were protests as well.

A busy street there was lined with hundreds of demonstrators who carried upside-down US flags and waved signs that read, “I dissent.”

Brooklyn Beckham is ready to reunite with his famous family as they attempt to put their rumoured feud to bed. The 26-year-old and his model wife Nicola Peltz, 30, are expected to join the Beckham clan at dad David’s 50th birthday bash.

With his milestone birthday looming, football icon David is keen for his family to come together and mend the rift between his sons Brooklyn and Romeo. The tight knit family have been rocked by a reported divide that has left David to come up with a grand plan the pair surely won’t be able to resist. He is expected to bring his sons together at triple-Michelin starred restaurant Core in west London next month. Amid the rumours of an upcoming family reunion, it seems Brooklyn is on board.

He and Nicola have reportedly shared a meal at the Mountain Restaurant in Soho while he is back in London. Dan Martensen, Brooklyn’s friend, posted a photo of him in the capital, which could give a hint that he is ready to attend David’s party with his family.

Following the numerous reported snubs, this will be the first time the family has been married. Romeo’s family reportedly had a devastating impact on the Beckham clan when they welcomed her as their new girlfriend, Kim Turnbull.

Unfortunately for Romeo, Brooklyn’s older brother, who was once extremely close to her, dated Rocco Ritchie, is also very close. Kim and Nicola are accused of not liking her and of snubbing family occurrences to show their emotions.

David and Victoria’s eldest son failed to attend the England ace’s pre-birthday bash in Miami last month, which included guests such as football legend Lionel Messi and former supermodel Cindy Crawford.

The rest of the family were also there to celebrate, including Brooklyn’s siblings Cruz and Harper. Speculation mounted once again when neither Brooklyn or Nicola publicly wished Victoria a happy 51st birthday.

In another twist, neither Victoria or David, commented on Brooklyn and Nicola’s third wedding anniversary. And according to reports, Cruz and Romeo failed to congratulate the couple as well.

David is said to have developed a master plan to reunite his sons amid the tense relationships in the Beckham family.

According to a source, David is “going all out” for his 50th birthday. It’s a true family affair, with Romeo, Cruz, Harper, his and Victoria’s parents included.

A source who spoke to David about the stresses he felt as he prepared for his occasion, according to the Daily Mail. They remarked, “Family is everything for him.” He is a working-class boy who had strong ties to his parents and grandparents, and he adores Harper and his boys for being so close.

While the location will be ideal and stunning, he wants his family to be there and enjoys getting along with him. However, things aren’t doing well right now. Everyone in the group hopes that they can resolve any problems before David’s big day.

PSG pass masters make Rice and Arsenal’s fears come true

EPA

In his final message, Arsenal assembled in a huddle before facing Paris St-Germain, who presented the formidable threat signaling the danger. Declan Rice captured the spirit and signaled the danger.

As their warm-up session before the Champions League semi-final first leg at Emirates Stadium came to an end, Rice remarked, “If we don’t have the ball, we die.”

Arsenal are still in a tie, but they are undoubtedly struggling to stay alive as they trail 1-0 heading into the Paris return, primarily because they were unable to follow Rice’s instructions in the crucial opening stages.

An extravagant display of fireworks and pyrotechnics set the stage for Arsenal’s first Champions League semifinal match in 16 years, all set against a massive banner that read “make it happen.”

PSG orchestrated it, exactly as Rice so fervently feared, and it was exactly how it was done.

The 26-pass move culminated with Ousmane Dembele’s fourth-minute finish over Arsenal keeper David Raya from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s delivery. Rice’s warning delivered in the most agonizing manner, as if it were PSG in a microcosm.

In the first 26 minutes, PSG’s team had a total of 71.6% of possession, which set the stage for the game’s return to Paris for next Wednesday’s second leg, which they will take advantage of by returning a bucket of ice cold water over what had been a white-hot environment.

In Arsenal’s second half, PSG recorded a remarkable passing accuracy of 86.5%, and the ratio was 165 passes to 60 in total.

The most significant harm had been done, in fact, when Arsenal finally digested Rice’s memo.

Mikel Arteta, manager of Arsenal, stated: “We are disappointed with the outcome. We put a lot of effort into the game. We struggled for the first ten or fifteen minutes to establish dominance and momentum, but we were at least disappointed not to draw.

He praised Dembele’s achievement by stating, “That is always the danger.” They deserve credit. They escape a close situation. We had seven players behind the ball, all of whom were skilled. Sometimes you just have to acknowledge the individual’s talent.

As the Champions League transitioned to its new league table format and how it displayed, this PSG was different from the one that lost 2-0 in tame fashion here in October.

In the ensuing months, coach Luis Enrique has created a PSG side that is top-notch from the back, while his personal attention has benefited the most from Desire Doue’s brilliant teenager, while coaxing the most from Dembele, who flattered at Barcelona.

And in what might be the most important turning point of the era of Kylian Mbappe, Lionel Messi, and Neymar, they added the young Georgian genius Kvaratskhelia to a thrilling attack.

PSG keeper Gianluigi Donnarumma puts his thumbs upReuters

However, since then PSG have divided the Premier League elite, with Liverpool losing on penalties in the last 16 and Aston Villa advancing in the quarter-finals.

Donnarumma has played a significant role.

With crucial saves from both Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard on either side of half-time, he made amends for his previous Emirates bumbling.

Arsenal will accept the hope that those chances will provide in Paris, but as they try to recover this parable, they will now have to play with seriousness against PSG. The French champions may just like that approach in those circumstances, though.

When a Video Assistant Referee checked early in the second half, Mikel Merino’s smart header was ruled out for Arsenal, there was resentment.

It was obvious why Rice once more called it right when he expressed his frustration with his midfield partner and disruptor Thomas Partey after receiving a yellow card in the comfortable second-leg win against Real Madrid at the Bernabeu, which had given him the upper hand as Arsenal reeled.

Arsenal will undoubtedly find Rice’s words at the Parc des Princes to be true, but some things are easier said than done and it may already be too late to save their chances of reaching their first Champions League title since they lost to Barcelona in Paris in 2006, according to Rice.
