Kerry Katona gushes over Katie Price’s brand-new face after latest surgery

In her exclusive column, Katie Price opened up about her pal’s most recent cosmetic procedures and received a lot of praise for her best friend.

As she opened up on life in her weekly column with OK!, former Atomic Kitten singer Kerry Katona couldn’t help but mention how good she felt her friend was looking after her recent cosmetic surgery. “I was reunited with my girl Katie Price this week, which was so lovely. I haven’t seen her in a while, so we had a good old catch-up. She is looking amazing right now, and we’re both feeling really great, which is nice to see.”

She added, revealing that her son and Katie were currently working together, “My son Max is working with her behind the scenes of her Pinocchio pantomime tour so Katie brought him home and we all caught up before they had to go back to rehearsals. I plan to visit Katie soon so we can spend more time together, but life is so busy right now!”

Katie had a facelift, thought to be her sixth, in a clinic in Istanbul in January, less than a year after her £10,000 operation there. The mother-of-five shared at the time: “From my last surgery, there are just a few little bits that I want tweaking. Well, they need tweaking. So here I am getting ready. That’s the worst bit for me, the needle. The needle’s done so now I can relax.”

Later, Katie shared a selfie with her bandaged cheeks and bandaged forehead in a selfie taken from her hospital bed. Despite having many like Kerry. Many people expressed support for the star, but others think she needs to stop cutting herself and has already gone too far.

The reality star herself herself has been open about her surgery addiction, comparing it to a shopping spree. Speaking on the How To Fail With Elizabeth Day podcast last year, she revealed: “People don’t realise when you have surgery and stuff, you only see before and after, you don’t see in between – when you’ve had it, the pain and the cleaning, the stitches out and the bed rests. So I would love to educate people about it. It’s damaging to your body. I’ve had so many anaesthetics. I know I still choose to do it, but I’m older now.”

As for her friend Kerry, who Katie did panto with last Christmas, she opted against getting a facelift at the end of January. The star, who last year had a corrective nose operation, admitted she had a change of heart and called off the operation after her children begged her not to go through with it.

She wrote in her OK! column: ‘I just don’t think now is the right time. My eldest three girls really didn’t want me to do it, they were begging me not to, saying, “Please don’t”. I knew they didn’t want me to, so that massively impacted my decision. It is hard for the kids to see me recovering – that’s why I stay at my mum’s after surgery so they aren’t exposed to it. The results are always amazing but I’m just not there yet.’

Irish attack gains ‘redemption’ in Italy win – Peat

Inpho

Lindsay Peat, a former Ireland international, believed that the team’s “nice variety of tries” in Sunday’s Women’s Six Nations victory over Italy gave them “redemption.”

Although the 27-15 defeat to France in round one a week prior had many positive aspects, Ireland had stumbling at times with the ball in hand and relied on their set-piece for scores.

They scored four times in each half against Italy thanks to what Peat called “little tweaks” at the Stadio Sergio Lanfranchi.

It’s a fantastic outcome to give Italy more points than England did last week, Peat told BBC Sport NI.

“This was about returning and regaining.” From last week, they had unfinished business.

Ireland scored their first try after just two minutes with Aoife Dalton receiving the player of the match award.

Just before half-time, the center made a crucial defensive save by holding the ball up over the line to force a turnover and maintaining its clever running style throughout.

Former Ireland star Eliza Downey was moved by the midfielder’s confidence in her partnership with Eve Higgins, who had hoped that their partnership would be a big part of the victory.

She was “on the end of everything,” according to Downey, “a deserved player of the match.”

She says, “She’s confident beyond her years, and how she’s collaborating with other players and how she’s collaborating with Higgins is really exciting.”

Fly-half Dannah O’Brien kicked off the tee with a brilliant effort in addition to the eight tries.

After missing all three conversions eight days prior, the 21-year-old added the extras from the touchline after Dalton’s opening score, with Peat feeling that the kick gave her performance the direction she desired.

After a subpar performance by her standards last week, Peat said, “There was a lot of pressure on those young shoulders.”

Ireland has a young nine-10-12 axis thanks to Aoibheann Reilly, 24, who is capable of linking well with the 21-year-old pair of O’Brien and Dalton.

There is skill and talent, Downey continued.

They can be coached and are malleable, they claim.

“Those young players have great depth and leadership,” he said.

Before wrapping up their campaign with trips to Wales and Scotland, Ireland will next face England in Cork on April 12th.

Ireland will hope to finish strongly in third place in the standings before turning their attention to the World Cup, which begins in August, following their impressive victory in Parma.

At the tournament in England, Ireland will compete against Spain, Japan, and New Zealand in a pool.

“You have to look at areas where things don’t go right for you, and when you correct the wrongs, you grow,” Peat said.

The key developments from the previous week to this week will unlock this team’s potential, they say.

Kym Marsh reveals ‘strange relationship’ after toyboy split: ‘Why am I doing this?’

In a new exclusive interview, Waterloo Road’s Kym Marsh details an “unusual relationship” she has had over the years that she has finally managed to break up with.

Kym Marsh has detailed a ‘strange relationship’ she has been grappling with for many years(Image: OK!/Reach Plc/Lorna Roach)

Between rehearsals for her new play, Abigail’s Party , presenting BBC show Morning Live and appearing on screen in Waterloo Road , Kym Marsh is rushed off her feet when we sit down for an exclusive interview with her. “I’ve got a busy few weeks, lots to do,” she laughs as we ask how she is.

And the 48-year-old’s doting mother and grandmother seem to have very little downtime. “It’s pretty difficult to juggle it all”, she admits.

“But I work hard and enjoy spending quality time with my family,” she continued. So, when I’m not working, I tend to just hang out with them, because that makes up for the time that I’m busy. Making time for family is very important, in my opinion.

With former partners Dave Cunliffe and Emilie, 28, and youngest Polly, 14, with former husband Jamie Lomas, Kym divides the children. In 2009, she and Jamie also had a son, Archie, who was born 18 weeks early and sadly died moments after birth. She is also the grandmother of Clayton and Teddy, Emilie’s step-daughter, and Polly, Emilie’s other son.

After a grueling six-month romance, newly single Kym reportedly broke up with her boyfriend Samuel Thomas, 29.

However, the actress stays resolutely secret when we inquire about her potential future dates, which is understandable. One thing she is more than happy to discuss is her grandkids, as Kym lights up when she tells us she’s hoping her clan gets even bigger.

She reveals, “I love being a grandma. It’s one of the best jobs in the world, and I’m hoping that I get more of them. I have a brilliant relationship with my children and my grandchildren, and I love spending time with them. I’ve always been very family-oriented.

We are a very, very close family, and that’s come across before. I feel very fortunate that I have enough energy to be able to be involved, we go on holidays together pretty much every year. It’s nice to be so involved in their lives as I watch them participate in their after-school clubs.

Kym, who became a grandparent at the age of 42, jokes that her grandkids are her biggest supporters, explaining how the young people refer to her as “yaya.” Polly and Teddy came to watch me in 101 Dalmatians last year]Kym played the show’s baddie Cruella De Vil] and Teddy said, ‘ I didn’t even boo you, because you’re my yaya. ‘ ” “

Emilie, Kym’s daughter, is working as a singer-songwriter and actress, and has performed on stage with her mother on numerous occasions. This is evidence of Kym’s love of showbusiness.

And Kym says her youngest, Polly, is hoping to follow suit, too. However, her family won’t have any ” nepo baby” fame. She claims that Polly has viewed my TV and has since stated that she wants to spend the rest of her life watching me. So, hopefully I’ve inspired her. I could possibly assist her with coaching, but not when it comes to doing well.

You need to have your own talent in order to succeed in this challenging industry. Emilie is the same, she’s auditioning and doing drama classes. It takes effort.

Kym Marsh
The actress and singer says she loves performing on stage just as much as she does the screen, and feels ‘ blessed ‘ to be doing both

Kym is the person who is best known for her hard work, having first gained fame as a member of Hear ‘Say in 2001 and having a coveted spot in the band thanks to the reality TV series Popstars: The Rivals.

She then appeared on Coronation Street, taking on the popular character of Michelle Connor, who she portrayed for almost 14 years before leaving the cobbles in 2019.

Kym has since been juggling a career in TV and theatre, appearing as Nicky Walters in the hit school drama Waterloo Road since 2023. She tells us that stage and screen have her heart in equal measure, despite the fact that she is currently in her 15th season of the show.

Kym continues, “This will be my fourth performance in four years. I’ve done theatre now every year for the past three years.” I feel very lucky that I’m getting to do both screen and theatre, I love both equally. It’s a privilege for me to do what I do.

Alongside her acting career, Kym tried her hand at dancing back in 2022, with an appearance on Strictly Come Dancing. Looking back at her time on the glitzy BBC contest, she says, “I did love Strictly . It was beautiful and a great experience. Strictly was really the only show I wanted to do because it was kind of teaching me a skill. I don’t think I’d want to do Dancing On Ice because I’d be too scared that I’d really injure myself. But I never say never to these kinds of shows.”

Hear'Say in 2001

When we ask Kym if she still dances, she laughs, before admitting, “Oh, no, I don’t have time for that, I don’t have time to be dancing”!

She will turn 50 in June 2026, which will make her a milestone year. When we ask her if she is excited to start a new decade, she responds, “Looking forward to” is a bit of a stretch, but it will be good fun.”

Admitting she’s going to go big on the celebrations, she adds, “I’m not going to do anything too extravagant for my birthday this year because next year is the big one, I’m saving all of my credits for then! I’ll undoubtedly milk it for what it’s worth.

There is no disputing Kym’s incredible appearance, even though she may not be overjoyed at the age of 50. And one reason for her glow is that focusing on her health has become a priority for her in recent years – including quitting smoking.

After going back and forth on the habit for 25 years, Kym says she finally decided enough was enough. “I used to smoke cigarettes and one of the best things I ever did was giving up smoking,” says Kym, who is supporting the NHS campaign to encourage the six million smokers in the UK to quit the habit.

Kym Marsh for NHS No Smoking Day

To be honest, I dipped in and out of smoking and was a frequent smoker. I’d probably go for days and days without having one before suddenly I’d start smoking again.

” So, for me, it was a case of, ‘ Why am I doing this? ‘ Why was I being drawn in if I didn’t feel like I needed it?

Kym continues, “I have children and I have grandchildren, and I think I want to make sure that I’m around to see all of the great and important things that are happening in their lives.” “I want to make a healthy lifestyle a priority so she can live as long as possible,” Kym continues. That was my main reason behind it, to make sure I’m still around for my family.

It’s one of those situations where you think, “I want to be here,” when you have children of your own and then grandchildren. I want to make sure I’m choosing healthy choices, and smoking wasn’t one of them.

And Kym has already noticed herself feeling fitter since kicking the habit. She claims that she would experience horrible nausea the day after smoking. I’ve always felt congested and a little coughing in my chest. When I stopped smoking, that kind of disappeared. You look better, your skin smells better, and I was able to taste things better. You can usually tell when those significant differences occur.

Fear & Gibson – the best friends who keep rivals close

Even their coach did not reveal how disastrous the first training between Lilah Fear and Lewis Gibson in Montreal was ten years ago when they were unaware of how disastrous it had been.

Gibson was a novice ice dancer, despite the fact that Fear was a junior.

Although he was a singles skater, converting jumps into jives is not his thing of the past.

They won a medal at the World Championships for the first time since Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean did it in 1984, taking bronze on Saturday.

Keeping friends and rivals closer together

At the top of the game, Fear and Gibson practice at the Ice Academy in Montreal, where nine of their past ten ice dance gold medal winners have been from top couples.

Fear describes the environment as “creative, collaborative, and competitive.”

The 25-year-old told BBC Sport earlier this year, “I think the word that comes to mind is motivating because we are training alongside our top competitors.” And when you see what they have and what they’re working on, everyone around them is forced to step up.

We all have a friendship and a spirit of encouragement. Additionally, it is a truly exceptional setting. And I wouldn’t exchange it for the world.

Romain Haguenauer and the renowned coach who collaborated there had a “terrible” first practice session together in Montreal, and he was the one who kept his true opinions at bay.

We always felt his conviction and encouragement to really try to go as far as we could, Gibson said in a previous interview. There were perhaps some small passive jokes.

It just seems like there are endless possibilities, and I believe that is what he really taught us, and that also has helped us develop that hard work ethic.

Gibson, a gifted artist who enjoys DIY, drawing, and interior design, has also been able to use creativity on the ice, which Haguenauer has actively encouraged.

Fear claims that their coach will always ask, “Why not?” “to fresh ideas.

Fear, like Gibson, is also very creative, creating her own outfit for their free dance this year.

In that context, it should come as no surprise that, in 2018, they decided to reverse the trend and engaged in a fun disco-style free dance while many of their rivals stoked the more serious classical music.

The “Disco Brits” started to win national championships and finish sixth overall at the Europeans that year as the crowds grew on board with them.

Enjoying the spotlight

Fear and Gibson have gained notoriety for their high-energy performances, which have delighted audiences because they consistently appear to be enjoying themselves with their best friend.

They are in truth.

Gibson has previously expressed his joy at performing, whether it was dancing with his father or posting humorous social media posts.

At the age of 21, he decided to switch to ice dancing because of the difficulty of consistently performing the big jumps in single and pair skating.

Even though he was a natural, he raced through three badges during one of his first beginner sessions, and he had been a late starter in figure skating, only starting out when he was 11 years old.

He and Fear won the British ice dance championship and were accepted to the European Championships in their first season of dancing together in 2016/17.

When not on the ice, Fear enjoys performing in front of cameras, either singing or presenting podcasts.

She produces and edits her own podcasts, which feature topics ranging from athletes to authors to business owners, as a psychology student with a thirst for knowledge.

I just really have felt the influence of role models in my own life, Tessa Virtue, the Canadian Olympic ice dance champion, said. And I want to be able to share those stories with people in a variety of crafts from around the world so they can “spark something in them.”

Gibson has a guest appearance on her show, revealing his love for haggis and fudge and having his hometown’s latitude and longitude tattooed on his shoulder, Prestwick, Scotland.

the appropriate soundtrack and a message that is “authentic.”

There are a few basic requirements when it comes to choosing the music for their dances.

Fear said, “We choose the one that gets us the most excited and where we think, oh, yeah, we want to skate to that every morning when it’s freezing at 7am, and we get to hear it over and over again,”

This season, that means a Beyonce medley for the free dance, which also includes Halo, which has allowed them to show off their emotional side before the iconic struts to Crazy in Love.

Fear said, “It [Halo] really evokes something in us, and we really believe in the message of finding our inner light, letting who we are shine through, and overcoming all the barriers that you’ve put up along the way,” “Fear said.

Having the best advice is encouraged

With the looming Winter Olympics in Milan-Cortina ahead, success at the World Championships has come at the ideal moment.

Fear and Gibson have made it clear that their goal is to win their first British Olympic figure skating medal since 1994 by placing 10th overall at the 2022 Beijing Games.

Ten years after their famous gold, Torvill and Dean won a bronze medal, and the skating legends have frequently encouraged Fear and Gibson, who have both won three consecutive European championships, in their own words.

After carrying that burden for so many decades, Torvill and Dean have expressed their hope for a new couple who can advance British ice dancing.

This will likely create momentum, Dean said last month to BBC Sport.

In order to advance the future of British ice skating, Lilah and Lewis can hopefully do just that. “Success breeds success, but you need to have someone doing that first.”

Why are so many Americans applying for second passports?

As a preventative measure against upcoming instability, more and more Americans are seeking second passports in a time of political uncertainty and growing global uncertainty.

According to citizenship and residency advisory firms such as Latitude Group and Arton Capital, demand from United States citizens for second passports or long-term residency in other countries – often through investment schemes offered by those countries – has surged dramatically in recent years. Donald Trump’s election as president of the United States appears to have rekindled that trend.

In contrast to the same time last year, Latitude said that US applications for second citizenship or residency have increased by 1, 000% since 2020, right after the COVID pandemic hit and travel restrictions were at their height. Arton reported a 400 percent increase in US clients in the first three months of 2025.

There are no official records of the number of American citizens seeking second passports.

However, according to industry estimates shared with Al Jazeera, about 4, 000 of the roughly 10, 000 global applications for second passports have been submitted by Americans seeking second citizenship in recent years. Although the overall number of applications has remained constant for many years, there have also been significant increases in the proportion of applications from US applicants since the pandemic.

What was once considered the domain of billionaires and business owners is now increasingly attracting professionals and politically concerned citizens seeking a “Plan B” – an exit route if, as they fear, they find it harder to live in the US.

The Latitude Group, which assists clients in obtaining second citizenship and residency through investment schemes, said Christopher Willis, managing partner at the company, “It’s better to have it than to not need it.”

What exactly are investment-based passports?

These programmes, often called “golden visas” or “citizenship-by-investment” schemes, allow individuals to obtain long-term residency or even citizenship in exchange for a financial contribution – usually via real estate investment, a donation to a national development fund or the purchase of government bonds.

Investment requirements range from as little as 10,000 euros ($10,000) to more than one million euros ($1.2 million) depending on the program and location.

Although some programs offer the right to permanent residency, not all of them will automatically lead to full citizenship or a passport.

Residency-by-investment schemes, such as Portugal’s Golden Visa or Greece’s equivalent scheme, offer long-term residence and the right to freedom of travel within the EU’s Schengen Zone but do not grant citizenship immediately. The program does, however, offer a five-year path to citizenship in Portugal with no minimum residency requirements, with an average of 14 days each two years.

In as little as 16 months, citizenship-by-investment schemes, offered by Malta and a number of Caribbean nations, can result in full passports.

According to Latitude, 50 percent of its US clients now choose Portugal’s Golden Visa as their top pick, followed by Malta (25 percent) and Caribbean nations (15 percent). About 80% of those clients claim to have no immediate plans for relocation and simply want to feel secure knowing they can relocate.

Most nations that grant citizenship have the option to give it to the next and the grandchildren.

Who is applying for second passports?

Beyond just billionaires and wealthy business owners, second passports are now sought from a much wider range of society.

People who are concerned about what they perceive as authoritarian trends in US governance are among David Lesperance’s international tax and immigration clients, who are located in Poland.

“I’ve never been busier”, he told Al Jazeera, adding that people who have never thought about leaving the US before are suddenly thinking “very seriously” about it.

The number of what she calls “Armageddon Americans,” or “Armageddon Americans,” has increased, according to Professor Kristin Surak, a political sociologist at the London School of Economics and author of The Golden Passport.

Americans, in addition to China and India, are now Latitude’s top three clientele, according to Willis. Arton Capital also confirmed a sharp uptick from US nationals – including both high-net-worth individuals and professionals who are anxious about the current political climate.

What are the main arguments for second passports?

Numerous organizations are concerned about Donald Trump’s re-election to the US presidency in 2025, along with a number of executive orders aimed at civil liberties, immigration protections, and minority rights.

“I got nine applicants in seven days after one of those orders”, Lesperance said, citing a wave of fear among LGBTQ clients in particular following an executive order related to “gender ideology”, recognising male and female as the only two sexes, and reversing several protections for transgender people.

Some people worry about being included on political watchlists created by Trump’s nominee for FBI chief, Kash Patel, Lesperance says.

Others say they are becoming more vulnerable as a result of the Trump administration’s plan to deport several students who are involved in pro-Palestine activities on US campuses and infiltrate their communities, such as those who supported the student-led pro-Palestine protests from last year.

Lesperance also points to the rise in the frequency of natural disasters such as the recent California wildfires, mass shootings and deepening ideological divides as additional drivers of anxiety.

He claimed that “the US is turning into a wildfire zone.” “An increase in racism, in addition to mass shootings. And if you’re politically active, it means half the country doesn’t like you”, Lesperance added.

Second citizenship is a financial choice for some families. Some people opt for passport-free real estate investments in Caribbean countries like Grenada, Antigua and Barbuda, which can be completed in as little as six months.

One of Latitude’s clients opted to invest $300, 000 in property in Antigua and Barbuda instead of purchasing a vacation home in Florida, gaining a second passport in the process.

Another benefit is the appeal of global mobility. CEO of Arton Capital Armand Arton claimed that his clients frequently combine “bundle” residencies. For instance, pairing a UAE Golden Visa with a European one to ensure broader travel access.

People typically need to invest about $545,000 in the UAE by depositing money into an approved financial institution or purchasing real estate.

Taxation is another important factor for some wealthy people.

The US is one of the only countries in the world that taxes its citizens and permanent residents – also known as green card holders – on their worldwide earnings, regardless of where they are living. Due to this system, known as citizenship-based taxation, Americans who live abroad are required to file US tax returns and may be subject to taxes on their global income.

Some wealthy Americans have begun to reconsider their citizenship and those with green cards have to give up their residence status as a result of this system.

While it remains rare for people to take that step, it’s becoming a serious consideration for some clients.

Lesperance noted that “I have had a number of clients do this over the past ten.” He cited economic, political, and social uncertainty as the reason for “we still think there will be a significant increase in the number of citizens who are refusing to live.”

Arton, whose clients are mainly high-net-worth individuals, noted that even before the 2024 US election, 53 percent of American millionaires were actively exploring options abroad.

Are more Americans pursuing citizenship through descent?

Yes . US applications for citizenship by descent – often a more affordable path – have also surged by 500 percent since 2023, with 80 percent targeting Italian ancestry, according to firms facilitating the process.

Although this route is relatively new in the sector, Willis praised how “growing so quickly” it is, especially since it doesn’t require any upfront money.

In nations where they have ancestry, individuals can reclaim citizenship through these applications. Italy, for instance, allows people to apply if they can prove descent from an Italian citizen, often going back several generations, provided the ancestor did not renounce their own Italian citizenship before their child’s birth.

Similar laws apply to Germany, Poland, and Ireland.

Each nation has its own regulations; for example, Ireland typically allows applicants to go back up three generations while Italy doesn’t have a cap on the amount of time you can reapply for citizenship.

Unlike some investment-based programmes, these citizenships can often be taken up by descendants fairly easily, making them an attractive option for families who can prove descent. Typically, applicants must submit birth certificates, marriage certificates, and other evidence, such as a family tree.

Will there be an increase in second passport demand?

Most experts believe the trend is far from peaking.

According to Willis, “Americans are future-proofing their lives.” In order to obtain a second citizenship, clients are selling assets, restructuring their finances, and making “bold lifestyle choices.”
