Brooklyn Beckham mocks himself over varied career as he eyes up very different job

Brooklyn Beckham has referred to his varied career ahead of his next field debut the following week.

Brooklyn, 25, made the announcement last month that he would be starting a new sport project. He will participate in the Formula E-sponsored Evo Sessions, an electric racing car championship that was established last week. Victoria Beckham and David Beckham’s eldest child, Brooklyn, is one of 11 “personities” who are being given the opportunity to drive single-seater vehicles for the sport. Prior to a two-day track competition in the US, it was previously revealed that they would each be trained by a different racing driver. Tom Felton, a retired football player, Emelia Hartford, and former content creator Sergio Agüero also feature in the lineup.

At the Miami event, which will take place on March 5 through March 6, he will drive a Jaguar I-TYPE 7. Jaguar TCS Racing, which he will represent, has shared a video of Brooklyn getting ready for the race ahead of him setting up camp at the Miami International Autodrome circuit.

He is seen working with the team, including testing a simulator, in the video, which was uploaded to TikTok on Thursday. At the beginning of the video, he states, “I’m Brooklyn and I’m training for my Formula E race.” I’m well-known for my passion for racing. It’s something that my dad and I constantly discuss.

In a new video (@jaguarracing/Instagram), he discussed getting involved with the championship’s Evo Sessions.

He then makes reference to his varied career, which included a career as a model and the publication of a photography book. “I tried a few things, like the business aspect of cooking, and fell in love with it,” Brooke teased. He then continued, “I just released my first condiment line, called Cloud23.”

When he spoke about his new career in motorsport, he said: “It’s going to be interesting to sort of experience what these guys go through.” Unrealistic was the simulation. Initially, I felt a little ill. The first day was a blast for me so far.

Brooklyn continued in the video, “I’m just excited to be a sponge, you know. I love Miama and work with a great brand like Jaguar in order to learn as much as I can. There are a lot of me there. I’m so excited to start.”

Brooklyn said in a statement that he “jumped at the chance” to take part in Formula E’s Evo Sessions last month when it was revealed that he would be doing so. He continued, “I love it as a sport, but it’s an incredible opportunity to actually drive and get to know what it takes to compete at the highest level of motorsport.” I’m thrilled to be learning from the best about how to maximize the use of the cars because they perform so incredible.

Paloma Faith recreates ‘famous, iconic’ BRIT Awards performance – 10 years on

After spoofed her own incredible BRIT Awards performance prior to the ceremony this weekend, Paloma Faith has sparked protests.

Since 2009, the 43-year-old chart-topping artist has been snagging hits, including her critically acclaimed 2014 album, A Perfect Contradiction. The album, which featured Pharrell Williams-produced tracks, received numerous awards and won top singles like Can’t Rely on You and Ready for the Good Life.

Only Love Can Hurt Like This, which Paloma performed at the 2015 BRIT Awards, where she was also nominated for and won the British Female Solo Artist award, is undoubtedly the album’s most well-known track. Paloma belted out her lyrics while watching an artificial rain pour down on her during her live performance at the ceremony that year.

The singer, whose most recent album, The Glorification of Sadness, was released in February of last year and soared to number two in the charts, took to Instagram on Friday to celebrate the 2025 ceremony, which caused a stir as she recreated her iconic performance. The singer addressed the camera while sat in a garden while her forehead was resting in a pair of swimming goggles.

Fans and audiences erupted after Paloma’s original performance (Getty Images).

She continued, “It’s the BRIT Awards again on Saturday, and I adore the BRIT Awards.” Sadly, I didn’t receive a nomination this year. once more. That’s okay because I’m able to recreate my famous, recognizable performance of Only Love Can Hurt Like This that I did in 2015, which was… ten years ago.

She then enthusiastically began singing her 2014 single with goggles down over her eyes. The star ended her performance with a little deflated water from an assistant who later dropped a pint of water on her during the song.

She is not eligible for a 2025 BRIT Award, so both amusement and demands that she receive a medal for her acting, which bothered the hilarious sketch. How did one fan respond, “How were you not nominated?” That performance merits an Oscar, even if you didn’t receive a British award.

Another typed, “My Album of the Year was The Glorification of Sadness, which is a lot better than a Brit nomination, tbh.” The singer was comforted by a further fan, who wrote: “Actually shocked that you’re not nominated this year after another amazing album and a much better tour! In all of your fans’ eyes, you are a winner. You don’t need a trophy.

Paloma said in a statement to the Mirror about her performance last year: “It was such a big deal that night. My record label’s policy was that you could have any budget you wanted, and you could creatively direct your entire performance and accomplish what you wanted.

I emailed my former dancer, who also happened to be a fantastic choreographer, Wayne McGregor of Random Dance Company, to let me know what I wanted to do very quickly. When I was 13 years old, I met him, and when he said, “Could we collaborate on my BRITs performance?” I wanted to sort of demonstrate that I’ve come full circle and that you’ve always supported me, and it was quite moving in that regard.

The hitmaker continued, “I know everyone saw this at the BRITs, it was kind of unseen at that point, but it was quite moving for me because it was also me saying “Thank you” to someone who helped me when I was younger and didn’t have as much confidence.”

On Saturday night, Charli XCX will host the 2025 BRIT Awards, which will feature her in impressive five categories. The BRITS have eliminated gendered categories, leaving a mix of stars in the running for British Artist of the Year. Beabadoobee, Central Cee, Dua Lipa, Fred Again, Michael Kiwanuka, Nia Archives, Rachel Chinouriri, Sam Fender- and Charli XCX, among others, are included in the ensemble cast. Comedian Jack Whitehall will host the awards show.

Humphries ends Greaves’ historic run at UK Open

Beau Greaves’ storied run at the UK Open was ended by Luke Humphries in a 10-7 victory.

With victories over Mickey Mansell, Rhys Griffin, and Stefan Bellmont earlier on Friday, women’s world number one Greaves became the first female player to advance to the fourth round.

The 21-year-old then took the men’s world number one 7-5, but Humphries won five straight legs to keep his place in the last 16.

She should be playing big-time darts, Humphries later told ITV4.

She is a part of this environment. She actually put me to the test, and if she had won a Premier League game, she would have defeated me.

Greaves, the reigning three-time women’s world champion, started with a 126 checkout before breaking for a 2-0 lead.

Butlin’s Minehead Resort’s Humphries fought back, so he called Greaves back to the stage after winning, and the pair bowed together in front of the crowd.

Greaves, who averaged 93.60 to Humphries’ 103.40, said, “To play Luke, he’s amazing, and it will bring me on a long way.”

It’s nice to be here because I keep watching these kinds of players on television. I just watched him throw, to be honest.

Before Luke Littler, the men’s world champion, edged past Peter Wright, Jonny Clayton had already defeated Gary Anderson 10-3 earlier on Friday.

As Wright made a late charge to bring the score to 9-9, Littler, a teen, squandered 7-4 and 9-7 leads.

Littler jeered himself after firing into the 10 bed in a safety-first attempt to seal the victory with a 170 checkout.

The 18-year-old eventually won the game with an average of 108.69 as he shook his finger and said, “not a chance.”

76ers star Embiid ruled out for rest of season

Images courtesy of Getty

Joel Embiid, a star of the Philadelphia 76ers, has been ruled out for the rest of the season due to a persistent problem with his left knee.

Embiid, 30, has played in just 19 of the 76ers’ 58 games so far this season.

After suffering a fall that left him with a swollen knee, the seven-time All-Star last week played just 31 minutes in the Brooklyn Nets’ 105-103 loss.

The 2022-23 MVP, who was born in Cameroon, had a meniscus tear in his knee in February 2024, and was only allowed to play 39 games last year.

After San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama, the team’s number one draft pick in 2023, was diagnosed with deep vein thrombosis in his right shoulder, which will likely make him miss the rest of the season, he has received another notable injury in the NBA in two weeks.

The 76ers announced in a statement on Friday that “after further evaluation, it has been determined that [Embiid] is medically ineligible and will miss the remainder of the season to concentrate on treatment and rehabilitation.”

We are collaborating with medical professionals to create a precise treatment plan.

Joel’s team and specialists will continue to collaborate to provide the best possible course of action for his performance and long-term health.
