As the year comes to a close, attention is turning to who is coming out on top on the YouTube charts, and it should come as no surprise that viewers are head over heels for MrBeast
The top 10 most popular YouTube channels of 2025 have been revealed. And once again, it looks like MrBeast is dominating the platform, despite his many controversies.
With the year coming to an end, YouTube channels are taking stock of their following and hoping to enter 2026 with a fresh year of new ideas, new videos and new audiences. Some channels, are far more popular than others, with some racking up millions of subscribers. But while it is impressive to have millions of people watching, it is about maintaining that viewership is what matters. As a result, these channels have been able to maximise their audience and keep them watching for longer.
According to social media tracker SocialBlade, Mr Beast is once again YouTube’s most popular creator, at time of writing. With a whopping 451million subscribers under his belt, he has managed to rack up an eye-watering 100billion views on all of this videos, leaving him far ahead of the rest of his competition.
It was recently revealed that MrBeast makes a pretty penny from his YouTube videos, as well as the brands and companies he partners with. A screenshot shared to his X account showed that for one advert, the post was seen by 155million people and brought in £206,800 – despite him simply allowing adverts on his video.
However, MrBeast is not without his controversy, as the problems surrounding his relationship with fellow creator Kris Tyson continued to swirl, due to Kris’ seemingly questionable behaviour around children. As well as this, former members of his team have spoken out about the toxic work culture of his industry, leaving them overworked and underpaid; MrBeast denies all of this.
Second place on the list went to Indian channel T-Series with 307million, which infamously passed PewDiePie as the most subscribed channel before MrBeast exploded onto the scene. Meanwhile, third place went to kids channel Cocomelon, with 199million subscribers and 212billion views.
Other big names to appear on the list include the Stokes Twins, who similarly take on huge challenges in a similar style to MrBeast. The duo, made up of Alan and Alex, first created the channel back in 2008, but did not upload their first video until 2017, and soon exploded in popularity with their consistent giveaways, as well as cringe prank and challenge content.
Rounding out the top 10 is Korean channel KIMPRO, created by a team of South Korean stars focusing on a variety of different content. The channel mostly features comedy skits, memes, challenges and even mukbangs — content which involves a person sitting down and eating in front of the camera.
Despite being in Korean, the channel has grown massively around the world due to its ability to transcend language and appeal to a wider audience. The channel’s diverse range of content has also helped its rocketing expansion, making it the most subscribed channel from the east of Asia.
Children’s content does cover much of the top 10, due to its ability to retain kids’ attention and keep youngsters scrolling. If children’s content is removed from the list, other major stars including PewDiePie also show up, as well as the official WWE channel.
