On Wednesday, one year after the Gunners first signed him, will Arsenal fans get to see their new midfielder for the first time.

The 26-year-old, one of Europe’s most highly regarded number sixes, played his first game for Arsenal against Watford on Saturday in a closed-doors friendly.

However, AC Milan is anticipated to play him in Singapore for his first game since joining Real Sociedad for £60 million earlier this month.

Zubimendi, who won the Euro 2024 final against Spain in a big way, is a name that many football fans are familiar with. He also turned down a move to Liverpool last summer.

However, it was unknown at the time that Arsenal were already pursuing moves to sign Zubimendi after signing a Mikel Merino deal.

Manager Mikel Arteta described the club’s plan as being “really well-orchestrated” and “everyone who was involved in it” as explaining how we could achieve what we desired in two different years, both at the same time.

Both players were eager to join, which is extremely necessary, “and. Real Sociedad, in my opinion, was the only club that understood the situation and was excellent.

The players also made our demands, and we made our demands. I believe Real Sociedad was pleased with the outcome at the end, so I believe it will be very happy for everyone involved.

When Arteta was questioned about Zubimendi’s potential future, the Arsenal manager quickly explained why he had chosen him over Zubimendi.

” Six. Really excited, he declared. It’s very impressive, as I previously mentioned, when you have him every day, just around the building, just in training sessions, how he processes the information.

It wasn’t an easy time, they said.

Zubimendi claims that during a period of intense transfer speculation, it “wasn’t an easy time” for him last summer to make the decision about his future.

He explained that the first thing I needed to know was whether I wanted to leave Real, and that was not the right time.

“I thought staying at Real was the best choice because it gave me more opportunities and given that I still had a lot to learn.”

After speaking on the phone, Zubimendi and Arteta got into a conversation, and the Spain international claims one of the reasons he wanted to work for the club is because of his “obsession” with “details.”

“I don’t know what he saw in me, but I saw him as one of Europe’s best coaches.” he explained.

When I left Real Sociedad, I ultimately desired a good coach.

“I believe I’ve located him,” he said. I’ve only been here for a short time because I’ve seen how meticulously he’s with the game every step of the way.

Zubimendi claims that his new boss is teaching him “a lot.”

He said, “I think I’m going to try to do things that I didn’t before.” I’ll try to bring balance and give that passing outlet that I’m known for when I play that position.

I’m certain he will ask me to do something new after that.

We avoided touching that subject, they said.

As part of Arsenal’s Singaporean away kit launch, Zubimendi spoke to reporters along with team-mate Merino.

The pair didn’t talk much about the possibility of reuniting after a year apart despite following Merino to Emirates Stadium.

Merino, who also plays alongside Zubimendi with Spain, said, “I think we were fighting for big things.” He was very focused in Sociedad, and his last year was a really tough season for me.

“We didn’t touch that subject with the national team either.”

“I guess I had my attention purely on what I wanted to do. We didn’t talk about our futures when I asked him how he was doing at Sociedad.

With Declan Rice and Martin Odegaard both playing in the same area of the pitch, Zubimendi and Christian Norgaard will face a more difficult task of getting into the starting XI.

“It’s unbelievable how talented and talented we are, not just in the midfield but throughout the entire squad,” Merino said. This is a fantastic, fantastic feature, in my opinion.

We saw last year and have examples of how crucial it is to have a long squad with every player available, but it also means pushing each other in every training session and every game to improve.

We need to pick up lessons from previous seasons, they say.

Zubimendi, a statement signing for the Gunners, hopes to inspire the club to resurrect its winning streak after coming so close in recent years.

Zubimendi remarked, “I hope so.” The club’s ability to learn from previous seasons is its most important feature.

The key to achieving their goals for this year is, “I believe the lessons they’ve learned from how last season ended.”

In the end, I think football is all about the details, particularly in the Champions League.

“I believe Arsenal were the only team in that semi-final to stand up to [Paris St-Germain], and they let it slip due to minor details,” said the report.
