Yungblud is set to pay an emotional tribute to his late friend and mentor Ozzy Osbourne following his death this summer. The singer, whose real name is Dominic Richard Harrison, had a close friendship with the late Black Sabbath star and his famous family.

He was even invited to Ozzy’s final farewell show in Birmingham just days before his death. Ozzy sadly died aged 76 at his home in Buckinghamshire, 17 days after taking to the stage at Villa Park.

Following the sad news, Yungblud shared a touching social media post where he said: “I will never forget you – you will be in every single note I sing and with me every single time I walk on stage.”

Before Ozzy’s passing, Yungblud performed at his farewell show.

This weekend, Yungblud will join Aerosmith in performing a tribute to Ozzy at the MTV VMAs. On Sunday, Long Island, New York, will host the Video Music Awards, which will honor Ozzy a lot.

In addition to performing some of Ozzy’s greatest tracks, Yungblud will collaborate with Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, and Nuno Bettencourt on Extreme. On Monday night at 9 p.m. on Comedy Central, UK viewers can watch the event.

Yungblud led a supergroup that included Bettencourt, II from Sleep Token, and Adam Wakeman while performing at Ozzy’s farewell show. Yungblud has pledged to play Black Sabbath’s Changes at every show “for the rest of my life,” according to Yungblud.

Yungblud posted a number of candid photos of himself chatting and smiling alongside the music icon on July 22, just as it was revealed that Ozzy had passed away. He added, “I didn’t think you would leave the room because you were so full of life and your laugh was infectious.”

They appear to know things that we don’t, though as legends are written. You will always be with me wherever I go on stage, with me wherever I go.

You took us on an adventure that began everything. I’m truly devastated. The best of all time admired you. Yungblud described how he was battling his death two days later.

The singer of “I Think I’m Okay” admitted that “I’m trying to compute the last few days and I’m completely shattered.” You have been my North Star from the moment I was misunderstood as a child to the moment when people thought I was just a little too much or strange in my life and career.

You all gave me a path to run down and helped me when people would turn their nose up, in my opinion, your wife and your family. You sure brought the world’s light, according to him when he said, “For the prince of darkness, you sure brought it all.” Ozzy, I love you.
