Following the conclusion of a new five-year agreement, the World Darts Championship will remain at Alexandra Palace until at least 2031.
125, 000 spectators attended the venue’s 2025 edition, which ended in January with Luke Littler winning his first world title.
Starting with the 2027 tournament, the event will be held in Alexandra Palace’s larger Great Hall, which will allow for an additional 70, 000 spectators to show up.
The North London venue, according to Professional Darts Corporation CEO Matt Porter, “has become synonymous with the World Darts Championship.”
The tournament’s identity is “Ally Pally at Christmas,” Porter said. “It has an unmatched atmosphere in the sport.”
Moving into the Great Hall from 2026 to 2027 will enable more fans than ever to enjoy this incredible event, according to the director.
The final match will take place on January 3, 2026, with the opening ceremony taking place on December 11th, 2018.
