Nyesom Wike, the minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), praised the Ijaw people as “good people” who shouldn’t be associated with negativity.

Wike made this statement at a Thanksgiving celebration on Saturday in the Asari-Toru Local Government Area (LGA) of Rivers State.

Rivers State’s immediate former governor reiterated his commitment to upholding constitutional laws by using the occasion to address pressing political issues.

In carrying out their constitutional duties, Wike emphasized that he would not be in charge of the Rivers State House of Assembly.

He vehemently stated, “I won’t stop the Assembly from fulfilling their constitutional duties,” underscoring his respect for democratic institutions.

The minister also criticized Tammy Danagogo, the state governor, and other politicians for their egotistical interests, as well.

He claimed that the governor allegedly used an ex parte order to present the budget to only four people by conspiring with the SSG and his older brother, Justice Danagogo, a judge.

Wike rebuffed what he called unethical political maneuvers, warning that “they will lead you to hellfire.”

Wike further criticized attempts to stoke racial sentiments, particularly in light of Governor Siminalayi Fubara’s recent court victories. He reaffirmed his resolve to fight back against those who seek to challenge him and reminded the audience of his earlier victories.

“We cannot be forced out of this,” said the statement. Someone will simply come because they gave him power over night and told us to leave. All of you suffered. Who told him that he could direct us to leave? Will you consent to the “get out”? Wike addressed the audience, which attracted enthusiastic applause from the audience.

Many people enjoyed the Minister’s speech because he reaffirmed his desire to defend the interests of his allies and stop any attempts to destabilize his state’s political system.

He declared, “I’ve already defeated them, and I’ll continue to defeat them,” drawing audience applause.
