Why is Nicki Minaj talking about Nigeria’s Christians?

Nicki Minaj, a rapper from Trinidad, is the most prominent person to speak out against the violence against Christians in Nigeria. An alleged “Christian genocide” has been the subject of the US president’s threat of military action. When he spoke with Al Jazeera’s Soraya Lennie, the information minister of Nigeria, however, he refrained from making those claims.
