Ben Whittaker, a British light-heavyweight champion, won the first round KO match a stunning 6-4 to keep his unbeaten run in Birmingham.
Whittaker put on a strong performance for the 135 seconds that he had to watch for his first appearance since signing with promoter Matchroom.
Whittaker, 28, is known for his speed and showboating, and he put the latter into practice when he successfully combined the two when he dropped German Gavazi and received a right to the temple.
Gavazi won the match, but Whittaker’s return to the attack had the effect of writing the book. Gavazi was subsequently sent down by a crushing right hook, and the referee ended the fight.
On DAZN, Whittaker said, “He came to change his life, but like I said, I showed him something special and I showed him why I’m different.”
“Hanging around on one foot doesn’t earn you Olympic medals.” I am capable of doing it all.

In July of this year, Whittaker ascended to the professional ranks and won several highlight reel knockout awards.
Although his flashy appearance has been criticized as being disrespectful to opponents, he continues to deliver on every occasion.
For the first time in his career, Gavazi, 30, has been stopped in 21 fights, losing just twice.
American fans of Ben Whittaker are out for him, according to Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn, but we don’t want to take him too seriously.
With so many light-heavyweight competitions to contend for titles, Whittaker’s goal is to win world titles in 2026. However, it is still to be seen whether they will happen.
McCann’s momentum is growing more potentent.

In a super-bantamweight fight at the NEC in Birmingham, Molly McCann defeated Ebonie Cotton on points.
Before the referee scored it in McCann’s favor, Cotton got a nasty cut to her forehead and managed to stay put.
McCann, 35, is trying her hardest to establish herself in the art of pugilism.
