Following a BBC investigation, more than 2, 000 abusive social media posts about the Premier League and Women’s Super League were posted in one weekend, prompting Chelsea women head coach Sonia Bompastor to say she wants to be “proactive” in the fight against online abuse of coaches, players, and officials in the game.
