The ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), President Bola Tinubu’s party, convened its first national caucus meeting on Tuesday at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The party’s scheduled Wednesday meeting was preceded by the party’s scheduled National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting, which is his first since he took office in May 2023.
At the meeting include APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, Vice President Kashim Shettima, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, House Speaker Abbas Tajudeen, APC governors, National Working Committee members, and other party leaders.
Former Kaduna governor Nasir El-Rufai and former National Vice Chairman Salihu Lukman, two APC leaders, expressed concern about the ruling’s lack of internal democracy.
