After having surgery, Sir David Beckham’s wife Victoria Beckham has since returned home and shared a report on the retired football player. Following earlier reports that he was hospitalized, this comes.
David, 50, is seen in a hospital bed with his arm in a sling, according to Victoria, 51, who shared a photo of him this morning. He broke his wrist more than 20 years ago during a football game, according to reports that he had surgery to fix it.
After her post, Victoria has now suggested that he be returning home from the hospital after the apparent procedure. She shared this evening’s video of David posing in front of their kitchen on Instagram.
At a store with lettuce and cucumbers on top, David is still wearing a sling and bandaging on his arm. As Victoria says in front of the camera, “So this weekend’s vegetable content,” he is seen looking at the produce.
In the clip, Victoria states, “Look – he’s overperforming on the cucumber front.” Before his wife continues to say, “Look at this!,” David appears unimpressed. Then she begins to say, “Are they all from the..?”
Then, David is able to say, “I’m not sure you can say that, darling,” as she is said. However, he is later seen grinning at his wife while holding up one of the cucumbers. As the footage ends, Victoria can be heard laughing.
David’s recovery from an undisclosed health issue was earlier announced by Victoria. He was seen wearing a gown and a sling in a hospital bed, according to her photo. This morning, she wrote, “Get well soon, Daddy.”
Later, she shared a photo that appeared to show him a gift he had been receiving while he was being hospitalized. A bracelet with the words “get well soon” in a message to her husband was featured in the photo.
In her post this morning, Victoria gave no details about why her husband was in a hospital. However, it has since been reported that he recently underwent wrist surgery.
A source informed the Mirror that David had ‘secret’ surgery to repair a broken wrist after learning about the news. Prior to his retirement as a football player, he is said to have suffered the injury during a friendly match against South Africa in 2003.
According to the source, “It had been giving him problems recently, so he wanted to have it fixed.” He was informed at the time that he would soon leave the hospital.
The source also suggested that David “hoped” to arrive in the US in time for Inter Miami’s upcoming game. On Sunday, his team will face his former club Paris Saint-Germain in a match of the FIFA Club World Cup.
