By defeating Daniel Dubois in round five, Oleksandr Usyk became a two-time undisputed heavyweight champion, further cementing his position as one of boxing’s greats.

In front of 90,000 spectators at Wembley Stadium, the Ukrainian staged a masterclass to sabotage Dubois’ hopes of becoming the first Briton to bring the division together in the four-belt era.

In the fifth, Usyk, 38, put Dubois in danger, but he was unable to turn around and beat the count the following time.

Dubois was also stopped by him in 2023, which would increase his unbeaten professional streak to 24 victories.

“I’m sorry]Dubois], it’s sport. My people wished this victory, Usyk told DAZN.

Nothing comes next,” the message. It’s sufficient. Next, I’d like to unwind. I want to be at peace right now, my wife, my kids. I want to take a two- or three-month break.

Dubois, who defeated Anthony Joshua to win the IBF title in September, had a third straight defeat in 25 professional matches, with each loss coming within the reach of the finish line.

Usyk reclaimed the IBF belt, which he had taken away from him just weeks after the division’s unification in 2023, and added it to his WBA (Super), WBO, and WBC belts.

I gave everything I had, so I have to give credit to him for the performance. I’ll be back, Dubois told DAZN, “Take no credit from that man, I’ll be back.”

Usyk is still the heavyweight champion.

The legendary boxing stars Roy Jones Jr. and Frank Bruno were present at the event’s significance.

Joseph Parker, the interim heavyweight champion, was also keeping an eye on the proceedings as he searched for a date with the next champion.

After Dubois had also been cheered to the ring, Usyk, who has since called the UK his second home, received a warm welcome.

With a counter left in each of the opening two rounds, Southpaw Usyk had his younger foe looking a little shaky in the second round.

Dubois consulted his father Stan between rounds for advice, but he still had trouble finding the 2012 Olympic gold medalist.

In the fifth, Usyk unloaded him and sent him crashing to the ground with a sharp left.

Dubois showed incredible spirit in beating the count, but the proof was already in the pudding.

Dubois left with a second reconstruction project.

Dubois is in a difficult position and will need another rebuild after a third career defeat.

The 27-year-old has not defeated a champion to win a world title; he first defended his title against Joshua after winning the interim IBF title.

Dubois regained his confidence after his most recent defeat suffered by Usyk, but this defeat will set him back in several ways.

With Agit Kabayel, WBC “Regular” champion Kubrat Pulev, or even Deontay Wilder to choose from, he will have plenty of options.

In contrast, Usyk has the upper hand in the glamour division of boxing and has his choice.

“Tyson Fury might be it.” Derek Chisora and Anthony Joshua, possibly Joseph Parker, are our options, Usyk told DAZN, according to Usyk.

Usyk looked as good as ever despite the concerns that Dubois’ team had regarding his age during fight week.
