Following her shocking breakup with Aidan Coleman, Una Healy has spoken out.
The Saturdays star, 43, and retired Irish jockey, 36, are said to have split “amicably” following months of dating. The singer has now opened up about the breakup of their relationship.
Una admitted that Una’s participation in the new Netflix series Celebrity Bear Hunt caused her to “dust herself off and try again” and move “onward and upwards” Additionally, she praised Bear Grylls and the show for helping her when she needed it.
As she confirmed her split, she said: “Yes, I’m not going to talk about that – it’s onwards and upwards. I believe I’m prepared for anything that comes after this jungle experience. I take it very personally, and I believe you must take it very seriously.”
Una added: “‘ Dust yourself off, try again and believe in yourself – all those things. Bear Grylls once said to me, “That’s one of the things.” He gives us all a pep talk, and he said, ‘ The one thing I admire about you is your never give up attitude’. I would say that to everyone, just never give up”.
In a heartfelt conversation with Thoroughbred Daily News about the difficulties of resettling in Ireland following his retirement, Aidan himself revealed the breakup news. Meanwhile, just days after Una had been seen partying with former rugby star Danny Cipriani, who was a former team mate of her ex-husband Ben Foden. Following the Netflix series’ premiere afterparty, Una and Danny were seen taking a taxi home.
Prior to Una’s appearance on Celebrity Bear Hunt, there had been speculation about the pair’s potential interactions. Una’s ex-boyfriend Ben previously discussed difficulties due to Una’s more well-known status.  ,
Ben said in a statement to the Mirror at the time, “My girlfriend is in the limelight more than I am. If I am ever pictured with her it’s normally, ‘ Here is Una Healy… and rugby boyfriend Ben Foden’. I’m never going to be the main focus.
” I’ve never been a big clubber anyway. I’ve always been in the rugby culture to get drunk, but I do it with the boys! For me, it’s rugby, rugby, rugby. Cipriani has been a bit unlucky. He probably did it a little too soon. He needed to practice a little more on his rugby.
From 2012 to 2018, Una and Ben, a rugby player, were married. The pair share two children, Aoife Belle, 11 and nine-year-old Tadhg. After Ben’s unfaithful behavior toward her, they split up. He admitted adultery, but later admitted to it in an interview with The Guardian: “At the moment, anything that is published about me is never very good, and quite rightly so, because I was the one who adulterated.” But at the same time, it wasn’t the only reason for our divorce to go through. “
