At UFC Fight Night in Perth, Australia, Carlos Ulberg, a native of New Zealand, effortlessly stopped Dominick Reyes from the start-to-finish line.
Following his ninth consecutive UFC victory, Ulberg (13-1 MMA) confirmed his attendance for the UFC 320 title fight rematch between Brazilian Lightweight Champion Alex Pereira (12-3) and Russian Magomed Ankalaev (21-1, 1 NC, or no contest).

Following the match, Ulberg declared, “I’m coming [for the belt].”
Ulberg consistently advanced and stifled Reyes’ punches throughout the main event fight.
With less than a minute left in the opening round, Ulberg took his opportunity and unleashed a massive right hook that knocked the American to the ground, putting an end to the fight.
Reyes’ (15-4 MMA) defeat on Sunday ended his three-fight winning streak, and Ryan Spann had his first knockout/technical knockout (KO/TKO) loss since November 2022.
Reyes and I had the opportunity to box him, but he felt the power too early, and I saw in his eyes that he didn’t want to feel that again, so I went with the two and dropped him, according to Ulberg.
Jimmy Crute (14-4-2) won back-to-back fights in the co-headliner event at light heavyweight, this time beating Croatia’s Ivan Erslan (14-6) by rear-naked-choke at 3:19 of the first round.
Through his three appearances, Erslan has yet to win a UFC fight, with his most recent victory coming in February 2024. Crute’s submission marked his sixth of his career, in addition.
By unanimous vote, Australian featherweight Jack Jenkins defeated Ramon Taveras of the United States 30-27, 30-27, and 29-28.
Taveras (10-4) has lost three of his last five games and has spent more than 20 months without a win, while Jenkins (14-4) has won five of his last seven.
At 3:08 of the third round, UFC welterweight champion Jake Matthews defeated Australian fan favorite Jake Matthews to maintain the momentum with a D’arce choke for the second straight fight.
