Thomas Tuchel, England manager, has apologized for calling Jude Bellingham’s on-field behavior “repulsive,” saying that he intentionally used the word.

The German made the comment in June after England lost 3-1 to Senegal in his first game back in charge when he praised the Real Madrid midfielder’s “fire” but acknowledged that his own mother occasionally views the player’s on-field behavior as “repulsive.”

The 52-year-old continued, “I used this word unintentionally just to make it very clear.”

“No message was left. There was no hidden goal.

I fully grasped and understood that writing these headlines was my responsibility. I apologize for the upset and the headlines I brought about.

“I have the necessary experience, and I should have known better and done better.” I believed I could have given you guys (media) a little more credit for my second language usage of all of this.

In a live interview, I used the wrong word and I lost some sleep during the morning. Again, I have to bear it.

If Beverly smiles, he wins everyone, Tuchel had said in a June interview with Talksport. However, there are times when you see the anger, hunger, and fire, and it can come out in a way that can be a little repulsive, like for my mother when she sits in front of the TV.

After the comments were made, the former Chelsea and Bayern Munich manager claimed to have contacted Bellingham.

I immediately made contact with him, Tuchel added.
