Trump says he plans to designate Antifa a ‘major terrorist’ group

Donald Trump, the president of the United States, has made it known that he intends to label Antifa, a left-wing activist group, as a “terrorist organization.”

Trump described the group as a “major terrorist organization” as well as a “sick, dangerous, radical left disaster” in a post late on Wednesday on his Truth Social platform.

“I’ll be very strongly recommending that those who support Antifa be thoroughly investigated in accordance with the strictest legal guidelines and practices.” I appreciate you paying attention to this issue. Trump asserted.

With Antifa a loosely organized anti-fascist activist movement without a distinct leader, organization, or even membership list, it was unclear who or what the US president intended to designate.

Senior White House officials announced on Monday that they would end a “vast domestic terror movement” that they claimed had led to the assassination of right-wing activist Charlie Kirk last week.

The Trump administration is “going to channel all of the anger that we have over the organized campaign that led to this assassination, to uproot and dismantle these terrorist networks,” according to Stephen Miller, the White House deputy chief of staff.
