Troops Arrest Suspected Terrorist In Taraba

Following reliable and actionable intelligence, the 6 Brigade Nigerian Army and Sector 3 Operation Whirl Stroke conducted an arrest in the Taraba state Wukari local government area.

The vigilant troops quickly detained and tracked the suspect at Takum Junction, Wukari Local Government Area of Taraba State, where Saawuan Wuaiyolna, 35, was taken into custody.

The suspect, who is allegedly a prominent member of the notorious bandits’ gang led by the wanted criminal Akiki Utivi, known as “Full Fire,” was identified in a statement released by the acting assistant director of 6 Brigade Army Public Relations, Lieutenant Umar Muhammad.

Further, the suspect’s involvement with Wukari’s troop operations was suspected in an effort to coordinate attacks on defenseless citizens.

The arrest is a significant setback for the criminal gang, and it underscores the troops’ commitment to denying terrorists, bandits, and other criminal elements the right to take action in Taraba State and beyond as part of Operation LAFIYA NAKOWA.

Brigadier General Kingsley Uwa, the commander of the 6 Brigade Nigerian Army, commended the soldiers’ gallantry.

He reiterated the Brigade’s commitment to ensuring peace and security throughout its Area of Responsibility.
