Bolubu, the president, has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening international cooperation and coordinating its foreign relations with changing global political and cultural trends.
At the State House in Abuja, he made the announcement while speaking with Francia Márquez, the vice president of Colombia.
Senior government, business, and diplomatic officials made up the Colombian delegation.
Tinubu argued that new partnerships for shared prosperity would be required due to the volatile global economy and shifting international policies.
He promised that Nigeria would follow through on the agreements that Brazil and Colombia recently signed in terms of travel and consular affairs.
“I think the Vice President and his team did a good job,” he said. Already more opportunities exist for our business relationships with Colombia. I fully support the points you have come to an agreement on.
The agreement we signed with Brazil can easily be applied to aviation, particularly in Colombia, and our diplomatic relations can improve. He stated that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs would make this happen more quickly.

The President urged Colombian business leaders to look into opportunities in the oil and gas sector and agriculture, noting that the nation’s young, expanding population offers a stable market and skilled workforce.
According to Vice President Kashim Shettima, the visit was a chance to rekindle ancestral ties brought on by colonialism and slavery, while maintaining that political and cultural affinities would foster a healthy economic partnership.
For stronger bilateral ties, Colombian Vice President Márquez cited aviation, visas, political consultations, cultural exchanges, and trade as areas of focus.
“I am very pleased to lead this visit to the land of our ancestors,” says the first black vice president of Colombia. She claimed that centuries ago, our ancestors were exiled from Africa.
She added that her visit would form the foundation for a lasting partnership based on social inclusion and cultural heritage.
According to Morquez, “We have had a meeting with the business leaders in aviation about the necessity of starting direct flights to Colombia,” pointing out that the African Union’s support for restoration and reparation would help strengthen ties with Latin America and the Caribbean.
