Caroline Dubois has a good time, albeit not for a long time.

“I want to be undisputed in three weight divisions before retiring, call it a day, and do it all before 30.” That would be sick”, Britain’s world lightweight champion says.

Dubois will face Jessica Camara of Canada for the first time on Saturday in Sheffield to celebrate her 24th birthday.

Dubois joined estranged sibling, heavyweight champion Daniel, in becoming the United Kingdom’s first brother and sister to simultaneously hold world titles, and only the second in boxing worldwide.

Dubois is relishing her world champion tag and promises to defeat Camara at the Canon Medical Arena despite the absence of an in-ring crowning moment and those infamous “and the new” words from a ring announcer.

“Caroline Dubois is a world champion and she will rule for a very long time,” she continues.

No regrets over Taylor &amp, marquee fights targeted

What data are gathered from this quiz?
Dubois has long been tipped for greatness, ever since shining in the Youth Olympics. More than 18 months ago, she criticized the biggest names in the sport, but her professional career has been managed carefully.

Although a fight with Taylor may have provided the passing-of-the-torch moment and catapulted her profile to new heights, Dubois is no longer chasing the Irish superstar.

“I don’t feel like I need Katie Taylor, and to be honest she doesn’t need me right now, so it is what it is”, she says.

Underdog Camara is expected to defeat Dubois. From then on, it is “big fights” and marquee names. Dubois mentions potential adversaries like Mikaela Mayer and Alycia Baumgardner.

However, the more pressing task is to bring the division together in 2025 by defeating WBO champion Terri Harper and IBF champion Beatriz Ferreira.

Dubois was unimpressed by the Doncaster fighter’s victory over Rhiannon Dixon in September because he is particularly critical of compatriot Harper.

Without boxing, “I would be broken.”

After Daniel legitimized his world-title reign with a dominant victory over Anthony Joshua in September, the Hackney-born fighter’s elevation to world champion marked the start of a great year for the Dubois name.

The siblings became brother-sister world champions along with light-middleweight champion Sebastian Fundora and undisputed flyweight champion Gabriela Fundora.

But the feat was bitter-sweet. Dubois left her family home following a rift with her father, Stan, in 2023 and has reportedly not spoken to her brother either.

Stan and his daughter have shared their views of the conflict in separate interviews, and the boxing champion claims that the sport provided solace during some “dark moments” without going into too much detail.

Instead of all the sadness and the negatives that come with being a human, Dubois continues, “I just keep reminding myself of the positives and the blessings.”
