The Summer I Turned Pretty’s third episode left viewers gushing over both old and new romances, but the story is still not over yet because the film will wrap up the plot.
The series, which was based on Jenny Han’s trilogy of books by the same name, ended on September 17 with the season three finale episode. Fans were left waiting too long after the “happy” ending, but it was soon revealed that a movie was actually in the works.
A Jenny Han-directed and written film will be used as a continuation of the series and the plot’s conclusion, according to Prime Video. Han stated in a statement to Deadline that “I thought only a movie could give Belly’s journey the full due due.”

The release date is still undetermined, and filming hasn’t yet begun. Fans are unsure where some of the romantic scenes in the series take place and whether they’ll appear in the upcoming movie, despite there beingn’t much information about the film or where the scenes will be.
