Gemma Collins, a reality TV personality, is moving to Dubai to settle her recent heartaches behind, according to reports. She has already set up property viewings in the Dubai Hills.
Gemma Collins sparked speculation last week that a move to the UAE was imminent when she shared her happiness on social media while holidaying in the desert. Posting to Instagram Gemma Collins wrote, “Seriously thinking to move my family to Dubai any lovely places to live let me know.” Reports followed that she’s been ready to leave Essex for a while, and she’d already set up property viewings in the Dubai Hills.
Now, according to insiders, Gemma, 44, who is well-known for her diva traits, wants to draw a line under any unfavorable behavior in her home country.

“Gemma loves Dubai, it’s her happy place,” a source claims. She enjoys the weather’s beauty and style. She has been looking there for properties and employment opportunities. She just wants a new start because she has grown weary of living in the UK.
Her plans to move come after considerable emotional upheaval. In June she revealed she’d postponed her wedding to businessman Rami Hawash for the second time, after he sadly lost his dad the previous year. Prior to their engagement in 2013, the couple, who met in 2011, called it quits after only three weeks..
During lockdown they reunited and got engaged for a second time in 2021 before cancelling their wedding plans. Then, last year Rami proposed a third time while the couple were in the Maldives. Gemma – who is step mum to Rami’s son Tristan, seven – has been incredibly brave and open about her fertility struggles.
She tragically suffered three miscarriages and was once advised to terminate a pregnancy of an intersex baby and has also been considering surrogacy and fostering.
But ever the comeback Queen, the TOWIE star is undergoing IVF treatment which will feature in her new reality show, Gemma Collins: Four Weddings and a Baby set to air next year. The source says, “Gemma is ready for a fresh start, she’s gone through a lot recently and wants to put all of the negativity energy behind her and look forward. She sees a move as the perfect opportunity to put the past behind her and start afresh.”
James ‘Arg ‘ Argent, Gemma’s ex, has been in or out with her for about ten years, was given a suspended prison sentence for his then-partner, former Swedish Miss Sweden, Nicoline Artusson, for a gender violence offence in May.
According to insiders, Gemma wants to move past this more difficult time and sees Dubai as the ideal place to do so.
Gemma is prepared for a new beginning and adventure, according to the source, who adds, “after going through a lot of heartache over the past few months.”
She is ready to look forward and believes a move is the only way to go.
