After her daughter fell just weeks after breaking her elbow, Alex Jones has since taken her daughter to the hospital. The One Show host wrote, “My view. The fall occurred for Poor Annie. She is completely unharmed, which is good for her after a long day, though.
Annie recently had a second incident involving her. Speaking on the Binge! Alex explained in a podcast with Harry Judd that Teddy, 6, Kit, 4, and Annie, 2, were playing Gladiators, which was painfully played.
They each got on an arm, got into a fight in the middle, and somehow Kit fell against Annie’s elbow, she said. Because the cry is different, and you know when you just know? Annie’s elbow was completely broken as a result.
The 48-year-old TV presenter shared a photo of one of her sons receiving treatment next to him with an iPad earlier this year. She wrote on Instagram, “Never gets any easier, but the amazingly kind and gentle staff make it all the better.”
She then provided a relieved selfie to the audience, “Such a relief that it’s done!” Without further ado, I won’t be on @bbctheoneshow until @laurenlaverne and @gabbylogan can look after you x.
It comes after Alex recently addressed the devastating health issue facing her husband. The presenter acknowledged Charlie Thomson had gone through a “rough period” in 2023 last year. The One Show host wed insurance broker Charlie in 2015, and they have since welcomed three kids.
However, Alex revealed last year that Charlie had experienced a mental health battle and had become a “shadow of himself.” Alex claimed in a podcast interview that she witnessed Charlie “fall apart” after battling Lyme Disease and viral meningitis.
Alex thankfully explained that Charlie is “in a much better place now” when he mentioned it on Gabby Logan’s podcast The MidPoint. I believe that the fact that we have three young children drives me, and that I need to do everything in my power to protect them, Alex said to the podcast host.
“Mum and dad have always been healthy, and we’ve always had a balanced diet throughout our lives,” Charlie and I say.
She continued, “He wasn’t very well last year,” which Gabby then inquired, “How is he now?” He’s good, yes, Alex then said. He’s much happier than we were a year ago, but diet has a big part in that. He’s a bit into nutrition, but we always get along fairly well.
She continued, “I think it was a way for him to fill his days in a way that he wasn’t feeling well.” And he made the decision to play this kind of role, so I’ll have to see what else I can do to help myself. He was a chef before, and he finds cooking and food to be very enjoyable.
He cooks the majority of his meals, which is “very fortunate,” but I do say it’s the best job because no one says, “You stacked that dishwasher so well,” so he does the cooking but the food is really good.
She explained to her children, “It’s the variety, eat the rainbow, I say it on a loop, and there’s this news that five to ten a day isn’t enough. It’s just the variety,” she said.
She referred to the children’s diet as “Charlotte makes all their meals, which is brilliant, so they eat really well.” Don’t get me wrong, Ted didn’t even see sugar until he was three, and Annie was having it at six months.
