On this weekend’s new Masked Singer season, another famous has been revealed.

The sixth season of the ITV show aired earlier this month, and the most recent episode from Saturday confirmed Tattoo. It was revealed that singer Carol Decker, 67 – best known for fronting T’Pau – had been behind the mask.

She had performed once again for the audience and judges in the episode, which also featured the return of Snail, Kingfisher, Dressed Crab and Teeth. Tattoo was chosen to save the crustacean character after the judges, which included Mo Gilligan, Davina McCall, Maya Jama, and Jonathan Ross, as well as guest judge Tom Daley, decided to contest it in the sing-off against Dressed Crab.

Carol told the host Joel Dommett that she had enjoyed the experience after the revelation at the episode’s conclusion. She said: “I’ve loved it and I’m going to say, I’m gutted”! Later praising the other contestants, she said: “Everybody is amazing, but I’m gutted because it’s the best fun ever”.

Despite wearing a costume on the show, she also admitted that she doesn’t actually have any tattoos. After the unmasking, Joe teased Carol on the stage that she should use the character’s design as her first ink.

Carol is the most recent celebrity to be confirmed to have appeared on the Masked Singer season. Kate Garraway, the host of Good Morning Britain, Prue Leith, the judge of the Great British Bake Off, and Macy Gray have already left.

On Saturday’s Masked Singer (ITV) episode, Carol Decker was unmasked as the singer.

Prior to the judges and fans’ attempts to determine the identity of the celebrity behind the Tattoo costume, the judges and fans had previously mentioned a number of names. Sheridan Smith, an actor, posted a message denying to the public that she was in that costume or any other way as a result of the speculation.

In a post shared over the weekend, the BAFTA winner addressed the rumors on Instagram. Sheridan, who has released two albums, stated to fans that she is “not nor will ever be” a Masked Singer contestant. The Gavin &amp, Stacey star however added that she was amused by the speculation.

Alongside a selfie, she wrote in the post last week: “Love you all but just to save you trouble, I am not nor ever will be on the Masked Singer, as much as I enjoy to watch it. I wasn’t Sausage, Bush, Firework or Tattoo but I love your commitment and it makes me howl laughing. You lot are brilliant”.

Next Saturday, The Masked Singer will air on ITV and ITVX starting at 7 p.m.
