After five days of bloody border clashes, Thailand and Cambodia came to terms with an immediate, unconditional ceasefire. On both sides, there were at least 35 fatalities and 270, 000 displacement. Following discussions with US and Chinese diplomats, the Malaysia-brokered truce comes into effect.
