As her 21-year-old lookalike daughter Phoebe supports her on set, Tess Daly beams with pride. The real reason for her shock Strictly Come Dancing exit has been finally revealed.
Standing side by side her 21 year old daughter, Tess Daly and her stunning daughter Phoebe could quite easily pass as sisters. Taking to social media, Tess appeared to be beaming with pride as Phoebe visited her on the Strictly Come Dancing set.
She shared the sweet moment with her Instagram followers as she penned: “Such a treat having you at the show last night @phoebeekay can’t believe you’ve been coming for 21 years; your entire life.”
Tess, 56, smiled for the cameras while wearing a dark velvet dress and looked as though she was a star. While wearing a fitted purple sequined dress, Phoebe has clearly adopted her mother’s sophisticated style.

Tess along with her Strictly co-host Claudia Winkleman recently caused a huge media storm when they announced their departure from the BBC show.
Their announcement came shortly after Tess’ husband, Vernon Kay, revealed that he must check on his wife of 22 years for the sake of every episode of the ballroom dance show.
The BBC Radio 2 host said: “I rarely go out when Strictly’s on because I want to make sure everything’s alright.” Eight weeks ago. I have it on by the side of the stage when I’m working.
But sourced explained to the Mirror that her reason to quit the show was to spend more quality time with her family. The couple share two daughters together, Phoebe, 21 and Amber, 16.

Tess has been a member of Strictly for years, but it has been heartbreaking for her to not have the time she and her family want because it’s so difficult for them to balance work and life.
They are seeing her taking a break from work for a brief period of time as a chance for her and Vernon to rekindle their relationship, the insider continued. She can spend more time with her kids, enjoy more vacations, and have more time with them once Strictly has ended. It will have a very positive effect on their relationship as a couple.
