Jason Orange, the star of Take That, reportedly left his job to pursue a career in music.

The 54-year-old singer’s low-key life couldn’t be more different from that of his fellow Take That stars Robbie Williams, Gary Barlow, Mark Owen and Howard Donald – who have continued to perform sell out tours for thousands of devoted fans. Robbie even produced a biography of his career in the title of “Better Man.”

Thanks to Take That, Jason was one of the most recognizable faces in the UK in the 1990s and the early 2000s. The remaining members of the band, however, made the decision to quit after a brief stint as a foursome when Robbie left in 1995. Robbie joined the band as a “man-band” in 2015 for an album and tour before resuming his duties.

Before Jason shocked fans by announcing he was leaving for good in 2014, Mark, Gary, Jason, and Howard had a strong four-piece. Jason has reportedly chosen to enter business with Celtic legend Neil Lennon and is said to co-own the property company Nine The Firs while his bandmates continue to be in the limelight.

Jason and Neil have known each other for a while and played football together a while back, according to a source who recently told The Sun. Jason has now joined Neil, who already has a firm. Jason has a real talent for property, but he prefers to live quietly away from the public.

Jason stated in a statement when he left Take That that he wanted to let people know how proud of what they have accomplished together. I’ve had the best of my life with Take That, and I want to thank everyone who has helped me along the way, including my bandmates, who I consider to be my brothers.

In 2023, Mark hinted at Jason’s reasons for leaving during an interview with The Times. He said: “I think Jason felt like he didn’t want to do it any more. But I won’t represent him, though. He’s still here anyway. When we remembered how Jason always laughed before the punchline, we were trying to figure out who the best joke-teller in the band was.
