Gary Barlow, Mark Owen, and Howard Donald of Take That have announced their Circus tour has resumed.
17 years after dazzling audiences with their massive arena tour, Take That have announced they are returning to their record-breaking Circus tour.
The hit ’90s pop group, currently consisting of Gary Barlow, Mark Owen and Howard Donald, will perform The Circus Live in summer next year, across 11 stadium shows with special guests in tow.
The Circus Live broke records as the fastest-selling tour in history, selling over 600, 000 tickets in under five hours, as it was originally staged in 2009, one year after the release of their album of the same name.
The band’s exciting announcement read, “The Circus tour was one of our favorite experiences as a band, and we’ve talked about how much we’d love to do it again one day.” That time has come, I suppose! The Circus Live will be broadcast live across the UK and Ireland for the summer, and we’re so excited to welcome audiences from all over the country. See you somewhere”!
The Script and Belinda Carlisle will support Take That on their tour, and tickets will go on sale on Friday, September 26 at 9:30 am.
The group will perform in Southampton, Coventry, Sunderland, Glasgow, Cardiff, Manchester, and then spend two nights in London before heading to Dublin.
In the lead-up to the news, the trio has been making fun of the trio’s large announcement.
The band, which was originally a five-piece including Robbie Williams and Jason Orange, posted a video on their shared Instagram page yesterday, showing the trio getting ready for a circus show – in reference to their 2008 album The Circus, which saw the band go on a tour in 2009 titled Take That Presents: The Circus Live.
One commenter wrote: “The Circus!!!” and the audience was giddy with excitement. This time, I’m definitely coming.
Jason Orange, their former bandmate, left in 2014, remarking, “I just wish Jay would be here.”
One person praised The Circus as the “Best tour ever” while another praised it. Another third person said, “OMG, this is so exciting,” and another said, “This is really exciting.” This is really exciting.
The band’s logo has appeared overnight around UK stadiums, presumably to promote the new tour. Its venues have included St Mary’s Stadium in Southampton, Cardiff’s Principality Stadium, Glasgow’s Hampden Park, and Manchester’s Etihad Stadium.
After several posts teasing the big announcement, the band made the announcement today, but some fans were also persuaded Jason is going to play in the lead-up. The band then shared the full teaser, which featured Mark, Gary, and Howard’s faces.
The posts prompted hope that Jason, who left the band in 2014, could return. He worked on the Circus album and featured on its subsequent tour, but he’s opted to stay out of the spotlight since leaving Take That.
Fans noticed orange objects in the background in a teaser video featuring Gary, and a person wrote, “Color of the map under the VHS Cam”? ORANGE . “]sic]
Another referred to an orange jacket hanging on the rail, an orange hat, an orange note book, and an orange material draped over the mirror. They later added, “And orange make up in the palette,” in the comments section of the post.
while others gave off more clues.” One of the fans wrote, “Please be Jason, I’m sorry, but one of you said “you’re going to do it again” while another wrote, “You’ve got to be Jason.” “And another penned: “Jason Jason, please.”
