Struggling Everton Sack Manager Dyche
Struggling Everton sacked manager Sean Dyche on Thursday, just hours before their FA Cup third-round tie against Peterborough.
After only three wins in their first 19 Premier League games this year, the club are only one point above the relegation zone.
The selection process for a new manager was in progress, according to Everton, who stated in a statement that Dyche “has been relieved of his duties as senior men’s first-team manager with immediate effect.”
Reports suggested the US-based Friedkin Group, the new owners of Everton, had been talking to potential successors after the Liverpool club’s takeover, raising more speculation about Dyche’s future.
Everton have been a regular fixture in the English Premier League since 1954, but they have recently shown signs of relegation.
