George Clarke, a YouTuber for Strictly Come Dancing, admits to feeling the pressure as rehearsals get going, while Alexis Warr, a partner, claims he needs breakfast and sleep.

George Clarke is feeling the pressure – but he admits he gets a kick out of being half of Strictly’s golden couple. He and Alexis Warr danced the quickstep to Frank Sinatra’s I Get a Kick Out of You on last night’s show, in an attempt to top their score of 39 out of 40 in Blackpool last week.

As rehearsals get harder each week, YouTuber George, 25, said he is “going a little mental.” And Alexis, a professional partner, says it’s important for him to eat breakfast and sleep well.

The pair are still riding high after Blackpool and George says his body is finally adapting to Strictly life. “I think I’m getting fitter,” he says hopefully. “There is pressure now. It’s nice to dream, but we try to focus on each week.”

We don’t try to manifest anything, Alexis says, because you’ll be disappointed if it doesn’t. We’re just having fun with it.

George has gained a whole new fanbase thanks to his endearing performance on the Saturday night staple, including the Strictly mothers. He claims that Sue, a regular Strictly vlogger, is constantly bumping into us while we are outside Elstree Studios. She requested the photo because she had previously been unable to work her phone. Then a youngster asked, “Yo, what’s my man doing here?” and the next person to notice me. “

His nan, however, is the one who cheers the loudest. “George says she’s been amazing. She doesn’t usually vote, but she has been using my five votes every week.

Alexis, 25, recalls anticipating a fun partnership with George right away. He’s funny, funny, witty, smart, and proper, she says.

The pair insist that there is no rivalry roiling the backstage despite Strictly being a competition. “Alexis says” that George leads the group in cheers. It is so adorable. The results show is “the worst part of the week,” according to George. Everyone works so hard, and somebody needs to leave, he said.

The most heartfelt aspect of George’s Strictly journey is supporting his recently diagnosed cancer-positive mother, though. She’s class, “he says”. She simply asks, “Are you eating enough? ” This week’s dance, how’s it going? It merely displays her personality.

On the show, George made the announcement in a VT. The TikTok sensation revealed that his mother had previously experienced health issues. George directly addressed the audience, “Unfortunately, she was recently diagnosed with cancer. Nobody, but especially her, deserves what she has endured. She now feels that so much of her life is being taken up.

Before revealing the tragic cancer news, he opened up about her previous health battles. He recalled: “When I was 16, I was about to leave for hockey practise with my dad and he said ‘oh I’ll just check on mum one more time because she was feeling a bit ill. “Nobody deserves what she has gone through, but least of all her.”

She was having a seizure when he went upstairs. Encephalitis, a brain inflammation, was discovered on her.

Speaking to his professional partner Alexis Warr, he then added: “I had no idea what it was and most people that do know is because it has affected them in a horrible way.”

She is “the kindest person I’ve ever met.” She apologized when she left the hospital.

Nicky and her husband, Shaun, watched the heartfelt performance alongside their parents. The judges thanked George for his candor in explaining his diagnosis to his mother after the performance. Judge Motsi Mabuse continued, “I wish her all the best and that we can lead this life together.”
